The belt portion is very light webbing and can wad up near the pouch, but it was only $14 USD, so I'm not complaining.
Thank you. How cool! I feel like a moron for not recognizing what it was -- it never occurred to me I could find something like that. I am thrilled! It is definitely my top find, so far. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Great haul! Digging pull tabs sucks but there's always that chance...For me, it's in the nickel range. the horseshoe is a very cool find. There are actually some pretty cool iron relics out there although a lot of people skip iron. I have found axe heads, a horse buggy step and a few other things. I still do not have a horseshoe yet, great find! You can bring that horseshoe back to life with electrolysis, that's what I do with a lot of my iron. It's easy to get hooked on this hobby. Good luck on your next hunt.
Thank you. I'm so hooked! That's cool about the tip to restore the iron. I was delighted to find the horse shoe. There's something that just feels good about them. A horse buggy step would be a fantastic find! I appreciate you commenting. Have a good one.
Nice find in the dagger, cool history behind it👍 Think I’m going out on a hunt on Christmas Eve for a bit, day hunt, a ring or two would be great 😎🎄😎 Best Wishes for The Holidays👍🎄👍
Thanks Bob. I'm thrilled about it! Have a wonderful Christmas Eve hunt! I look forward to hearing what you found. I hope you have a wonderful holiday, as well.

Good morning, Dan. I've gotten very good at finding bottle caps! 😂 It is all a part of a fun day out. The Mexican $10 coin and a bottle cap have almost identical tones and number, so if I want the money, I have to dig the trash. Thank you for commenting. Have a great day!
Awesome hunt! You live in a beautiful place that people vacation and then dream about living there. What a neat dagger! I would advise you to bring a pair of watershoes so you dont hurt your feet on scoop or sharp items in the ground.
Thank you for commenting. It's a stunning area. You are right about the shoes in that it would be wise, but I never wear them. I'm accustomed to hiking the jungle barefoot. We have no cars here (only recently some ATVs), and I've been walking this land shoeless a long time. The occasional injuries do happen. Every time I dig some treacherous sharp piece of metal, it amazes me that people don't get hurt more often. Still, most of us who live here don't bother with shoes and consider them more annoying than they're worth. It's a very different life here in the jungle. I'm glad you liked the video. The dagger was a great find. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a fabulous new year!
Thanks so much! It was a great day. It's about a 30-minute hike from my house and very pleasant. I might go back after New Year's as tourists will have had some time to lose some more stuff. 😄

Thank you for commenting. I look forward to having more experience and being better able to gauge my finds with discernment. Have a great day!
You know there's some good stuff in that water. That 10 peso coin rings up like a US penny. One thing Ive noticed about finding coins is the bigger they are the better it feels when you get it. Like a 1 peso, not that valuable but a big coin. I'd be super happy with that. This year I found a 1 Euro coin at Jensen Beach. First time finding foreign currency.
It's so true! That's a cool find on Jensen Beach. I love finding foreign currency. It often takes me a minute to recognize US coins because it's unexpected, and they're not in great shape. @MetalDetectingMermaid yes, I've been to punta de mita a few times and we ventured over to the other side of the bay and went to those falls with a tour about 6-7 years ago. I remember that little restaurant.
@@johnurso5184 That is so interesting! I hope you had a wonderful trip when you came. I love the area. The structure in the video (the large terrazzo) has survived the hurricanes, but the restaurant building that was on the primary side of the river was destroyed two years ago, and the bridge between the two has to be rebuilt every year.
