Janet THE Jackson !!!! She is one of a kind came out of her bother's shadow ans made a name for herself ! Without competing with him she just stayed in her own lane and did her thing !
Janet Jackson is underrated. Many of these dance artists and R&B artists learned a lot of their moves from Ms. Jackson. She influenced a whole generation.
@@kimberlypage5285 Nope. Come back to reality. An "appreciated" artist is an artist who is recognized and appreciated for their artistry decades and decades after their peak. There are a number of legendary music artists from the 80s and 90s who are well respected and revered from the younger generation of today. The fact that Janet Jackson streaming numbers and sales are nowhere near her contemporaries shows that she's not appreciated and underrated by the younger generation. That is the consumers who buy and listen to the music. The fact that Janet Jackson fell off tremendously after Nipplegate at the Super Bowl and her videos(which are legendary) aren't as viewed as many of her contemporaries, shows that the younger generation know little to nothing about her besides being Michael's little sister. Yes, she was inducted into the RnR HoF but that still doesn't translate into relevancy of today. Yes, Janet is the standard by many, but she's still underappreciated.

Michael and Janet Jackson are the Founders of synchronized dancing in music videos as well as videos in a movie format. Everyone else to this day has followed their Blueprint. Janet's Rhythm Nation Album was inducted into The National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress because it was so Iconic .
Saying this is the first time seeing Janet Jackson dance is like watching an old Bulls game and saying it’s the first time seeing Michael Jordan dribble a ball lol

Not only is "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation:1814" probably the best concept album ever but if you thought "Control: The Album" was huge she crossed so many barriers with this record, truly she influenced a whole generation with this album.
One of the most iconic things about Janet was the choreography in her videos which she always incorporates into her live shows. Definitely check out more of her music. She has never released a bad album for me and has so many iconic videos/performances. Check out Pleasure Principle which was a great dance video, If, You Want This, All For You and for some of the smoothest R&B songs, That's the way Love Goes, I Get Lonely.
Maaan, dancing is the one thing Janet is known best for, lol. This is just the tip of the iceberg, you’re in for a treat. 💯💯 Hope u watch more. It’s dope to see someone’s reaction for the first time. I fell in love with Ms. Jackson as a child. Before Beyonce. She taught me how to dance. My childhood best friend was a big fan too. We knew ALL her dances!!! Lol I love her! React to her more please.
Janet Jackson is an icon. She has so many great songs. My favourite are "That's the Way Love Goes", "IF", "Because of Love", "Alright", "All for you", "Love Will Never Do Without You", "Get Lonely", this is just a few from her legendary catalogue.

You must review her video The Pleasure Principle. It’s one of her simplest but best videos on account of the dancing. My favorite Janet video of all time. And it’s damn near impossible to pick a favorite.

I had a lot of huge posters of her in my room, she was a huge deal at the time and still is! This brings back so many memories!

Janet can move! I think she was the first fall pop star in the 80s that really danced and sang. You should check out the video for "Scream", the song she did with Michael. They killed it!!!
What is amazing about this song is that its still a relevant today as it was 30 years ago…which is also sad that after all those years we still have so far to go!!
Janet actually played on a show called Fame and she danced a lot as well as with her family the Jackson’s. She is just as known for her dancing as her music.
