Facinating that the Chinese Tao is independent of another and that the western Christian is single lord minded.
Unfortunately, hinduism in its current state is no different from Christianity in the obedience factor Alan mentioned.The oneness of god and "not god" is an idea I'm aware of from my Hindu background. But that's a very superficial understanding, and almost every Hindu I know, certainly every hindu priest I've seen has not the faintest clue of what that means.
