100%, she is one of the few people on the internet who genuinely seems wholesome and always cheers me up. Her shorts are the perfect internet palate cleanser to get rid of all the other stuff I come across daily.
This is the loveliest and most unpretentious video about a proposal and just how you view life with your partner/ fiancé together. Wishing you lots of happiness. 🎉❤
So true, and I'm also happy to see how popular she is because it shows that so many people agree and appreciate her authentic unfiltered awesomeness ❤️
German Boyfriend has evolved into German Fiance! P.S. I really like the Vietnamese way of deciding to get married, seems a lot more genuine and fuss-free than how we do it in Europe.
My European parents decided to get married exactly like that. I don't think the whole proposal thing is a European thing but more like an American thing that's quite new to Europe :)
Uyen is so likeable. She has a special way of storytelling. The world could use more pople like her. I wish all the best for them as they travel the ups and downs on the road of life - having each other to have at the end of the day.
"... and then I remind myself he is literally the best thing that ever happened to me. " No, I am not crying at all. Congratulations to both of you. :)
Yep, this part made me tear up. My husband and I dated for 6.5 years before we got married and I absolutely empathize with her nervousness and subsequent realization of how she really feels and what that means.
I smiled like an idiot for 5 minutes and I don't even know you. You guys raised the bar for all of us. I'm so happy for you and wish you luck for everything to come
You said it's not like the movies, but every movie is different. This was your movie, your story, and special to you and your fiancé. We love your videos and I personally enjoy everything you choose to share with us. Congratulations 🎉
My husband and I r both non-Vietnamese. And they way Uyen is describing her experience with proposals, that is us. We r very Lowkey. There r people that had more elaborate proposals, weddings, and honeymoons, and they r no longer married. Or very unhappy. Marry someone 'like' u. If u r high maintenance, they must be the same. Changing ur life partner is disgusting. U want him to clean a little better, but changing who they r at the core, is not right. Have the same faith. Feel about money the same. And family.
"It's not like in movies" trust me girl, your story is something I dream of... the fact that he knew exactly everything that you wanted and didn't want, it's the best thing ever. Congraz!!!🥰🥰
I love this so much! I’m American, and while I did want a ring, I did NOT want a public proposal. Neither did my husband. We were out for a nice dinner to celebrate 6 months of dating, and afterwards went for a walk at our favorite park. He proposed on a rock overlooking the Mississippi River, using a poem he’d written. It was beautiful, and perfect for us! 15 years & 2 kids later, he’s still my best friend. :)
@Василий It's common for people here to say their wife/husband is their partner and best friend (or something similar). It means even when you're not being romantic/sexual (nobody is like that 100% of the time), you still enjoy each other's company. It implies companionship, not just physical attraction. She had kids with the guy and their marriage is going strong; I'm pretty sure he's not in the friendzone :P
That you partner proposed to you keeping in mind what you wanted and what you didn't, says how much he truly knows you, which is super important in the long run for a huge step like marriage. I'm super happy for both of you! Congratulations!!!!
I LOVE your proposal story! It's so realistic and mindful. It's what actually happened, and it doesn't have to be exactly like the usual proposal. I love your happiness and stability! Congratulations!!
Recently, my 21 year old son and I confessed to each other how much we love your channel. His father was my Danish boyfriend, and we dealt with the big cultural differences between Danish culture, and Tribal American. We have been married 25 years now, very happily. I know you and your love will also be very happy. Congratulations to you both! BTW, I show your channel to my Danish husband, so we can enjoy your creativity together.
When you say Tribal American; does that mean Native? Or does that mean one of those American Bros people? 🫣 I’m trying to get the mental image but have 2 wildly different scenarios in my head
@@novellao7020 I do mean Native or Indigenous. My grandfather was born on the Chahta reservation before Oklahoma was a state. . I was raised primarily by my mother with that side of my family.
Dane here too! With a Kasakh-Russian husband 😄 We love this channel so much. It gives us a good laugh and helps us express the querky/cultural things each of us experience
Suddenly the shear amount of training he went through to impress your parents makes sense. On that note, your story is very cute and that it was catered to you and so personal makes it even cuter. The evolution from German Boyfriend to German Fiance is awesome. Congratulations to both of you!
Today I learned - we did things the VIetnamese way. We are British and always get funny looks whem people ask how my husband proposed and we say he didn't, and I didn't propose to him. We were just chatting and decided together that we were going to get married. It seemed natural and the right thing for us. Also, at the beginning of our relationship, neither of us asked the other out. We were friends and got closer. We were watching a film at a friends house and his arm ended up around my shoulders, our friend asked "Are you dating?" and we looked at each other and I said "I guess so". Married 20 years this year and are really happy together. Congratulations Uyen! I hope you have a long and happy marriage.
This is the most real reaction ever. And I love it. I’m glad you thought it through and decided it basically wouldn’t be any different if you guys were married. This is true love.
Mad props and respect for keeping it secret and waiting for years until going to see your parents. Great honor to your upbringing and reflects the immense patience you both had to wait
Please stay who you are! It’s so rare to see a genuine, down to earth person who hasn’t let their internet subscribers go to their head and change them! You are a delight and a reminder that the world isn’t all bleak and superficial. Also I learn a lot about cultures I may never have otherwise learned. Congrats!!!
This is what I love about proposal stories: they're often so personalized and special. You can really tell the strong healthy relationships because they have beautiful unique stories like this one. I'm American and proposal and wedding culture is super huge here, but my husband proposed in a very similar private way. We had talked about it a lot beforehand so we were both on the same page and knew it was something we both wanted to do, and I even helped pick out my ring. Our wedding was also very special and unique to us, as we did away with a lot of typical "traditions" because they didn't mean anything to us. Congratulations!
In Singapore, many like big wedding proposals, which I find over the top and a waste of $. Thanks for sharing your beautiful proposal story and wishing you a happy marriage life!
If I had to put a dollar amount on our wedding, under $1,000. Not because of personal finances, but because we both value the brevity of the vow. Not what we r wearing. Not expensive food that most guests do not eat anyway. Not an acclaimed photographer. Us, being us.
Me and my fiancé had to wait to announce our engagement for the very same reason! He is from India, and I am Polish, and we have been living together in Poland, but due to lockdown we couldn't travel so I could meet his parents in person. This year, it finally happened - we got officially engaged in India and now I can finally share my excitement with everyone :)
Congratulations to you both. As a former Wedding planner and coordinator, good for you both to have kept it private. There is nothing wrong with honoring yourselves, your parents and other loved ones first! I pray for a continued happy life for you!
My husband and I sat down and decided to get married - no romantic proposal, no candles, no crying etc. because that's not who we are. We had a small wedding with the closest family and friends and I would do it like this 1000 times over again. Happily married for almost 4 years now with two beautiful boys. Could not be happier.
Marriage actually changes the relationship. It gets even better! I also thought it wouldn't because we were living together for a long time and knew our families, etc. You'll literally be your own family of two and it's such a nice feeling. Congratulations and all the best to you two!
It gets better if you both work at it and accept the ups, downs and pitfalls, like anything in life. You also have more success if you're mostly on the same page.
🎉 Congratulations! Marriage isn’t the wedding - it’s the decades that come after. A lot of people forget that. Marriage is a partnership and you both have shown you’re a great partner to each other. And I’m so glad you shared a real story, not a made-for-IG version. The US has gotten ridiculous with proposals. Stories like yours are normal and common and real. Thank you for staying true to you ash’s sharing with us!
Tbh for me a marriage is just what I had before: a partnership, where we're both commited to each other. But with marriage it has a legal frame added to it. I kinda also feel like for many people its really just about having a big fancy wedding. I don't understand that and yeah where I come from you normally have several years maybe more than a decade of commited relationship behind you already so maybe thats why but I don't judge it. Everyone can go their way how they think its right.
I have to tell you, your German fiancé is fantastic. He knew you enough to know what you would be comfortable with, and proposed in a way to make you happy. How wonderful is that? The first video I saw of you a few months ago is where he was being so supportive and loving, and I subscribed right away. Many congratulations to the both of you! May you continue to be very happy and laugh a lot together.
It's so refreshing to see someone so sincere and unpretentious on the internet. Honestly, I can tell that you're a sweet and thoughtful person and seeing your content always either makes me smile or laugh. Keep up the good work and congratulations ☺
I don't normally watch videos on people sharing their personal life but you're so down to earth that make me want to watch you. All the best for your future, you deserve it!
This is a beautiful proposal story and I feel your proposal story was real, guinuine and to be expected for the culture difference. It made sense to me and I'm glad you were put in an uncomfortable position so you could process it all. Congratulations on the wonderful news and I'm happy you're able to share it work the world now. You both handled this with dignity and respect for the family. Ohh! Congratulations on more subscribers! Your content is hilarious and I love it!
Coming from a 63 yr old grandma, you are just adorable and addictive to watch! Your videos are so interesting and I love the way you explain life and social actions in Germany! Its lighthearted, fun and informative too! I find myself anticipating your next short every time I open my phone! Good luck always to you both and I hope to see some wedding pictures!
That is so sweet! And totally beats the stereotypes. I'm very happy for the both of you. Thank you for taking us along. I enjoy your videos and your humour so so much.
I love how real this is, it's real life happening and that is just so wonderful to see and hear about. Life, love, and life partnering with someone doesn't have to be done in any way except what is right for you and when it is right for you. Love this! Congrats and so happy for you both!
Those were probably the longest 10 minutes of that poor dude’s life 😂. I’m glad you said ‘yes’ in the end, he seems to be a keeper. And no, marriage really doesn’t change anything much if you are already life partners. But it still feels good.
Hello Uyen :) I’ve found your channel 2 months ago and I really like your videos. You are so adorable and authentic and it seems like you really have found your new home and partner for life in Germany. My husband and I are currently traveling in Vietnam and your shorts not only make us smile and laugh but also understand the culture here better. Keep them coming please! We both send you two our best wishes and congratulations for the engagement 🎉🎉🎉
I so admire the way you were able to take a pause and process the big emotions that came up when he asked. It’s seems like being able to purposefully say “yes” is all the more special. Congratulations! Also, it’s no surprise to us that your shorts are blowing up. You’re sense of humor is so on point and very refreshing
Congratulations. That’s really wonderful. Don’t say never to the “weddings” bit. My cousin is Asian and her fiancé is European. They had 3 weddings both in Asia and in Europe. 1 was the actual wedding (the bit that’s legal but singing papers and to get registered) and 2 wedding ceremonies, 1 in Asia and the other in Europe.
@@uyenninh My sister's brothers-in-law also did have two weddings each. One in Germany, and one of them had the second one in Colombia, the other one had the second one in Japan because their wifes are Colombian and Japanese. It was easier than having everyone fly halfway around the world.
@@Crissy991 I assume it's because both families couldn't attend at the same time. Imagine if the couple married in the bride's home country. Many family members and friends of the groom couldn't go due to money, visa, etc. And vice versa. So having two weddings in both countries is a way to celebrate with everyone.
Well, a simple wedding for each will be just fine. Maybe 2 would be goodie too? One with his family and another with yours. I am sure they all would love to witness a new journey to your life together! ❤️
i started following you at first purely because i was happy to see a fellow asian experiencing and talking about german culture, but you eventually became one of my favourite content creators in the process. i’ve never really commented but i just wanted to say congratulations! you’re so funny and sweet and i’m so happy for you. can’t wait for updates on the wedding!
I love that you were honest and explained how you didn't immediately say yes. I think it happens more often than media and the society tells us, and it should be normalized! Congratulations!
My ex and I (dated for nearly 5 yrs) recently broke up. I never cried for I already saw it miles away but your engagement announcement had me cry a bucket🥺. I am so happy for both of you and you are one of the reasons I continue to believe in love. Congratulations ❤️
@@vomm dude... that is so incredibly rude and uncalled for. You sound like an empathyless cruel piece of shite looking for reasons to blame a complete stranger you dont know anything about. Really, dont do such a thing ever again and you can go and delete your comment while you are at it.
@@vomm bro you are assuming something without knowing her... just stop lol only she knows why they broke up, how dare you try to suggest something to a stranger XD
Congratulations!!!!! We are Americans and have experienced the proposal moment. But when we got engaged (we were both widowed) we did just what you and your friends would do. We knew we were falling in love. We woke up in a hotel on my birthday - we were visiting friends - and just laid in bed and told each other that we wanted to be married to one another. We went to a jewelry store and found the setting we wanted - my husband then worked with a local jeweler to get the stone quality he wanted and TWO wedding bands because he wanted to meld them into one ring, so the diamonds continued along the band. IWe just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary - I wear my rings on my hand and sometimes when I'm doing regular things, I see the diamonds shine and remember the days we got engaged and married!
Uyen, I’m English and have nothing to do with Germany (aside from having a disproportionate number of German friends from uni😅). I love your videos SO much - you are wholesome, funny, very clever and incredibly deserving of every platform and audience you have. I have so much respect for how you protect your fiancé’s privacy while also including him, and your relationship is SO sweet. I’m so, so happy for you both❤ best of luck for the next chapter!
Obviously this hilarious intelligent kind and humble Lady deserves the true caring Gentleman she has . Great real life story. Congratulations to you both
Congrats Uyen! I'm Chinese and I have a German husband. I also told him that I didn't need a proposal, let's just sit down, discuss about our future plans and wedding. But he refused to do that because, like German boyfriend, he thinks that a proposal is needed. So he bought a ring and gave a very private proposal while we're on holiday. It was truly touching. I'm so happy for you two! Wish you all the best!
I'm in awe of you and the dynamic you and your fiance have. And I have been, ever since I started watching your videos. Being an Asian myself, I relate to SO many of your apprehensions when it comes to asserting your choice of life partner given our culture (in my country marriage works pretty much the same way as you described in this video). You are a beautiful, strong woman who has inspired me to no end, and your fiance is every bit as lucky to have you as you are to have him. I wish you both the very best and ONLY the best. Please, please continue inspiring us and brightening up our lives with your wonderful content!! Much love to you both ☺️♥️
He did it in a very sweet way! ❤️ My engagement was also private and quiet. My husband wanted to propose at the beach on our holiday, but there were always lots of people, so he decided to wait until we got back to the hotel. And he did the right thing, because I wouldn't feel ok with anyone staring at me at that moment. Proposing in front of other people is totally immature 🤦 My friend said "yes" under that kind of pressure and here they are ten years later, not talking to each other for weeks....
Congratulations! I'm half German myself. You seem like a sweet individual and from what I've gathered, your boyfriend must be level headed. I hope that the two of you will be happy!
I'm stuck in a bad marriage and struggle daily with depression. Every single one of your videos makes me smile and reminds me there is still good people out there. Congrats on your engagement :)
Please, whenever you find yourself having the strength to spare, take a look at the resources you can access in terms of help. And this can be as simple as watching videos on the matter even on this platform, cause youll find mmental health professionals here, too. Whenever you have the time and tiny bit of drive, feed it into your tiny steps to move yourself an inch towards the point where solutions get more accessible for you. It can take time, so you may aswell start today. So future you could harvest the results at some point. You do not have to suffer like this. AND, you sure asheck do not need to find ways out of the difficulties on your own and immediately either. A tiny step, then and now, are enough. Wishing you the very very best. (Pardon - as a heads up - if you reply and I do not reply back. I've got notifications off to keep my own overwhelm in check. So I may not get notified. And I hope this can be a tiny bit supportive for you and help you along your way, nevertheless.)
This is such a cool and sweet story! Marriage and proposals are something that can so beautifully reflect the couples relationship. No need for a showoff 💛And simple and pure in my opinion is also the best
@@vomm that’s a rude question to ask in Vietnamese culture. They were engaged years ago and I haven’t seen any baby filmed, so I guess it’s safe to assume that no baby is involved in the marriage decision
@@vomm are you German? And you have your culture? The person was explaining Vietnamese culture, and the person is qualified to do so. Sometimes it is better to wonder in silence than to ask out loud.
@@hanglethithuy4790 why is it rude if I may ask? Ps. I understand Mk's question (it's a German thing lol) But yeah, they didn't answer very politely to you. Thank you for explaining your culture 😊
I'm so glad you are so honest about this!! I felt like a monster for feeling super anxious when my now husband proposed. We had already been talking about getting married, so it was a matter of "when" and not "if". I was super into proposal videos and wedding stuff in general. But we always said that we'd wait until we were both financially independent. Turns out, he couldn't wait anymore. So when he asked me, I did not see it coming AT ALL and though I had never been anxious about marriage, suddenly the finality of it and how much of a big deal it was hit me. I felt that way for like a day until I told him about it. Literally the moment I had gotten my worries off my chest and he was so understanding and supportive I stopped feeling that way. I felt safe and loved and full of love for him. I was sure that I wanted this. I don't keep this a secret, as I don't want others to feel alone or horrible, should they ever have a similar experience.
Your feelings are valid. The deal is literally about devoting oneself to another, connecting properties and bank accounts, legally changing one's identity(last name). It's a lot.
@@ujika8164 Thank you for your kind words :) I even kept my last name and my own bank account. We did, however, already have a joint bank account, for example for groceries 😊
You're genuinely my most favorite shorts creator in this platform. Your humor is top class and even though I'm an Internet stranger, I'm very happy for you and your fiance! May the two of you continue living yohr best lives 👏👏👏
I love how you keep your privacy despite having a channel where you display a lot of your personal life or stories or just situations yk. It's really good . I haven't seen a lot of couples or lifestyle creators do it this well so this is really refreshing and nice to see.
Good for you - I recently got engaged to a man from a very different culture to my own. It's quite a journey and takes a lot of hard work, but finding the person that you can't spend your life without has proven to be more valuable than pretty much anything I've longed for in this world. We never wanted a wedding, but the closer we get to the legal aspect of this, the more we have a desire to celebrate the idea. Maybe something private, just for us. It's all about doing what feels right to you.
We had both the Vietnamese style of deciding to get married… and a fun, personal proposal. I wish you and German Fiancé every happiness and love watching your adventures!
I think now I understand why I love watching all your videos till the end. You are a VERY genuine and kind person with a good sense of humour. There are few people creating content this way, not showing off all the time, not showing only the bright side of the life. I am from Russia and see comments under your video from all over the world. You bring us joy and erase boundaries among people in different countries (it's the opposite what our politicians do), cause we see that despite the nationality we are so similar and have the same dreams/problems. Thanks for the story you shared. It's definitely a miracle how you met your bf. I wish you and your bf would be together forever and you would raise beautiful kids together.
I also love how you explained the Vietnamese way of getting married. I am born in Canada, and I have parents who are from Vietnam, for them, marriage is very 'easy' but in North American culture, it's not practiced the way that you described it, so I really appreciate you helping us understand the difference in getting married vs. proposal. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations! This is such a lovely story. My partner asked me in a public place during a time when no one would be there. That public place was the first place I told him I loved him. It was in public, but very private in a way. It was so sweet and everything I didn't know I wanted. Love your videos!
Wooo!!! That is one of the best proposal stories I have heard. Not only was it sweet, simple and unpretentious but you too were not pretending to say yes when you couldn’t because of the overwhelming emotions flooding you. Thank you and enjoy the wedding!!!
The number of comments wishing you well is a testament to you and your character. So so happy for you and wishing you the most wonderful life with your German boyfriend, now fiancé! 💞
Congratulations on your engagement. Your videos really bring joy to me. I have a German boyfriend too and I am from Switzerland. So your videos are relatable to me. And I hope we'll get engaged too. Wish me luck.
Congrats! I love the respect you have for each other ❤️ not showing his face while he still agrees to be in your videos, not telling the world before he was able to meet your parents in person, that he knew you don't wear jewelry but liked the symbolism of a ring so he made one ❤️❤️❤️ it's all so sweet! I wish you both the greatest happiness!
Thank you for telling us this story Uyen. That you kept it quiet for so long and sat down to share this in full, shows that you're a thoughtful person who isn't posting their life online for likes & attention. Your fiance seems like a kind and sweet person. I wish you many happy years together.
We didn't have a "proposal" in the Western fashion--it was more like the Vietnamese practice you've described. The biggest problem with it was that my wife's coworkers found it weird and offputting and kept telling her she had missed out on something. Apparently a Proposal needs to happen so you can tell everyone the story of it.
In many European countries (I‘m from Switzerland), there were no elaborate proposals. The engagement was also just a conversation (like in Vietnam). They‘ve become a thing in the past decades influenced my American movies. Personally I am not a fan of the elaborate proposals but to each their own.
Somehow, this story makes me cry of joy - because of the degree of consideration he has for you - because of how happy he makes you - And: because I really appreciate your way of relationship! Being heartbroken by an international relationship myself, I know how much effort it sometimes takes and that it's not always possible to find solutions. You too are doing it so well! Watching your vids, i always have the impression that you two have an amazing way of integrating both cultures and personalities to make something great out of it. I hope that I'm not wrong with this feeling and wish you the best. ❤ Ps. I You also find it unrealistic to answer a proposal without profound considerations first.
Congratulations!! You're quite literally my most cherished discovery on RUclips and your videos never fail to make me smile 😭💖💖💖. I'm also Asian, though not from Vietnam, and the Asian parts of your channel resonate with the deepest trenches of my soul lol. I wish you well on this new chapter in your life. 💞
Aw congratulations!! My husband and I had a “talk proposal” 😂 he brought it up to discuss us getting married and I also started crying because I wasn’t thinking about marriage so soon so it shocked me, but I was happy and couldn’t believe it was happening. We got married during lockdown before we moved to Germany but we’ll be having our actual wedding back in the US next year!
You are one of my favorite content creators I've found in a long time, you seem so genuine and sweet. I'm seriously so happy for you, you deserve the best.
Same with mine!! We’d already talked about it and were totally on the same page. The only mystery was when/where/how the actual proposal was going to happen
I am so glad I came across your videos. They just put a smile on my face and seeing the title of this one made me genuinely happy. Like I was hearing the news from a friend. I’m so happy you get to share your happy news with the world now!
Yo… your ideal and actual marriage proposal are EXACTLY what I always imagined my marriage proposal to be. It’s so crazy to hear someone wish and have the same story. 😅 Congratulations.
German Fience that is! So genuinely happy for you both, I saw the title and thumbnail and couldn't help smiling, and smiled so much watching this video ☺️ Congratulations!
It’s so cool and realistic!! And you’re so brave, it’s super uncomfortable to even imagine having a boyfriend and im 27😹 Im so glad people can do this and be this strong, let others in their life and to their bodies, not being stressed from just a thought. Thts just so cool and scary at the same time.
It can be scary, luckily when I met my husband he immediately made me feel comfortable. Not that there weren’t awkward or nerve wrecking moments and it was hard for me because I was a super closed person and shy, but that guy did not give up! And he loved everything about me that I was insecure about, he accepted me for me and just had and still has the most genuine heart and showed his love through his actions rather than through material things. When you meet someone like that then you won’t feel uncomfortable:)
May you find someone who puts you at ease, makes you feel truly safe and loved, and in whose presence you can be your most vulnerable and openly authentic self. Love is a many-splendored thing.✨💖✨
Yep, stay single, until someone artives, who truly cares for you and puta in the work! I know how a bad relationship looks like, it is really not worth it
Very happy for you! Congratulations! Btw. I am German and my husband of almost 10 years is Indian. I never liked the idea of a proposal. I always thought if someone would propose to me in a public setting I would say no out of principle because I do not want to feel pressured by the other people's expectations. So I was happy for me and my husband it went just like you described, we just sat several times and ended up naturally talking about the possibility of marriage until we decided together and then told our parents to get their approval. that's it. wouldn't have wanted it any other way :)
You are literally the nicest person on the internet. Unpretentious, kind and genuinely funny. Congratulations and good luck
100%, she is one of the few people on the internet who genuinely seems wholesome and always cheers me up. Her shorts are the perfect internet palate cleanser to get rid of all the other stuff I come across daily.

So, is he in friend zone now? 🤔
aww! 🥺❤️
@Василий It's common for people here to say their wife/husband is their partner and best friend (or something similar). It means even when you're not being romantic/sexual (nobody is like that 100% of the time), you still enjoy each other's company. It implies companionship, not just physical attraction.
She had kids with the guy and their marriage is going strong; I'm pretty sure he's not in the friendzone :P
i wish you and your family the best ✨✨✨🥰
That you partner proposed to you keeping in mind what you wanted and what you didn't, says how much he truly knows you, which is super important in the long run for a huge step like marriage. I'm super happy for both of you! Congratulations!!!!
You had a secret engagement for years, that's very sweet. You both put a lot of thought into your relationship which is a bond.
I’m trying to get the mental image but have 2 wildly different scenarios in my head
@@novellao7020 I do mean Native or Indigenous. My grandfather was born on the Chahta reservation before Oklahoma was a state. . I was raised primarily by my mother with that side of my family.
Dane here too!
With a Kasakh-Russian husband 😄
We love this channel so much.
I always thought this was the precursor to a proposal anyway??? I mean, how do you know your want to marry each other of you don't talk about it???
wonderful story, thanks for sharing
Aww the "I guess so"
Yeah, this is how it works for me too
Haha the "look" with the "I guess so" made me laugh. So cute! XD
It’s so rare to see a genuine, down to earth person who hasn’t let their internet subscribers
go to their head and change them!
You are a delight and a reminder that the world isn’t all bleak and superficial. Also I learn a lot about cultures I may never have otherwise learned. Congrats!!!
You honestly seem so down to earth and chilled out. You deserve a long happy marriage. Congratulations and best of luck!
This year, it finally happened - we got officially engaged in India and now I can finally share my excitement with everyone :)
congrats!!!
So happy for you Kasia! Wish you all the best ❤️
This is so sweet.
It gets better if you both work at it and accept the ups, downs and pitfalls, like anything in life. You also have more success if you're mostly on the same page.
For me it was really the same, it did not change anything on our relation or with our families 😅
Well said. If people today put the amount of effort they put into the proposal and wedding into the actual marriage, we'd see more last.
Usually before the wedding.. both parties are on their best behaviour, but after the marriage everything changes. The true colours come out.

Uyen comes across so authentically on screen in ways that most people can't nowadays. It's hard to explain.
Hello 👋 how are you doing…it’s a pleasure to meet you…where are you originally from….!!!?
That is so sweet! And totally beats the stereotypes. I'm very happy for the both of you. Thank you for taking us along. I enjoy your videos and your humour so so much.
True 👍👍
Thank you very much ❤️❤️❤️
I so admire the way you were able to take a pause and process the big emotions that came up when he asked. It’s seems like being able to purposefully say “yes” is all the more special. Congratulations!
Also, it’s no surprise to us that your shorts are blowing up. You’re sense of humor is so on point and very refreshing
I love hearing about your love story, bringing two cultures together respectfully 🥰
Hello 👋 how are you doing…it’s a pleasure to meet you…where are you originally from….!!!?
Congratulations. That’s really wonderful. Don’t say never to the “weddings” bit. My cousin is Asian and her fiancé is European. They had 3 weddings both in Asia and in Europe. 1 was the actual wedding (the bit that’s legal but singing papers and to get registered) and 2 wedding ceremonies, 1 in Asia and the other in Europe.
Why did they have 3 weddings
I’ll be broke if i make 3 weddings 😆

That’s my perfect proposal! Private, personal and just between the 2 of you! And so sweet!!! So happy for you!

It's a lot.
@@ujika8164 Thank you for your kind words :)
I even kept my last name and my own bank account. We did, however, already have a joint bank account, for example for groceries 😊

You seem like such a pure soul. Have a great married life!

Ps. I You also find it unrealistic to answer a proposal without profound considerations first.

The Vietnamese proposal sounds like the pre-proposal proposal conversation that my husband and I had. The “proposal” had a pre-determined answer 😆
I think all proposals are pre-determined. The couple had to have some sort of conversation about marriage before anyone thought of proposing.
Same with mine!! We’d already talked about it and were totally on the same page. The only mystery was when/where/how the actual proposal was going to happen

Stay single unless you come across someone who makes you feel comfortable! I really believe it’s just not worth it otherwise
Honestly same (I'm Anne btw, we have the same name haha).
May you find someone who puts you at ease, makes you feel truly safe and loved, and in whose presence you can be your most vulnerable and openly authentic self. Love is a many-splendored thing.✨💖✨

Btw. I am German and my husband of almost 10 years is Indian. I never liked the idea of a proposal. I always thought if someone would propose to me in a public setting I would say no out of principle because I do not want to feel pressured by the other people's expectations. So I was happy for me and my husband it went just like you described, we just sat several times and ended up naturally talking about the possibility of marriage until we decided together and then told our parents to get their approval. that's it. wouldn't have wanted it any other way :)
it's sooo much cuter than any romantical proposal i've heard about
