You're never too young to own a horse if you have parents or people in your family that can teach you how to take care of your horse! I was around his age I think when I got my horse, and my parents teached me well :) A horse is a fantastic friend, even for a kid, you just have to understand to respect it and it'll respect you.
thank you!!! i agree !! ive been hoping, wishing, praying and saving ever since i was 9 to get my very own off track thouroughbred !! and whenever i see videos like this of little girls it drives me insane !!!
Aww lucky little girl. I wish someone had bought me a horse for my birthday any of the horses I've owned I had to buy myself. Bought my first one when I was 10 with allowance and birthday money. Turned 12 and I had to start paying for some of there care and when I turned 16 had to pay for all there care.
When I first read that she was 7, I expected an obnoxious, ungrateful kid, who was getting what I want most. But instead, I watched a sweet video about a cute little girl, who is just like I was at her age! I love it! 8D
Wow! So sweet! Really no one is too young too have a horse. You could be a 5 year old and have a full size horse. You get better expierence riding on a tall horse all the time. Cute horse!! Congrats!
My 1st horse was a wild untrained American Mustang mare. She was dependable but she didn't trust any man to ride her etc but she trusted me to every extent. I never got to ride her but if i had have boy i would have had so much fun. My 2nd horse that is currently 4 and a half years old i broke myself at age 14 around summer time and he is very lovely. Green+Green=amazing, only of course if you train the horse properly (; My horse remains a stallion but soon to be gelding. Ill be 18 this year
by the looks of how dad is holding the horse, and how ppl are reacting to it, they have plenty experiance with horses. and the dad clearly states THEY have to work with it allot. I think thats going to be a well brought up horse and a girl who will love it to bits for the rest of his life.
My son was 5 when he got his first horse but I trained him to work drive and ride. Believe it or not he was terrified of ponies and was more comfortable with horses. He had his horse Raider till he died at the age of 20. He loved kids he even jumped the fence jus to be out in the yard with them lol so yeah even young kids can have a horse.
I'm the exact same way I've been saving since I was 5 when my friend (who was also five) got her own horse and I'm going to be turning 15 in less then 6 months!
me to... but i am so happy for everyone whos dream come true.. i'm still waiting for mine come true!!! but i'm happy , and ive got sweet and wonderfull parent, who always say, if whe have the money , you will get a horse!!... still hoping
OK for all those people out there going "Oh they bought a 7 year old an unbroken horse, bla!" Well they most-likely did this so that the horse could grow up with the child and to teach the child responsibility and teach her how to work hard for something, like training the horse to ride it. This is my theory. BTW Beautiful Horse!
awwwww! thts soo cute! I want a horse really bad! My mom said that if i get good grades in school, then i get to maybe get a horse!!!!!!!! Barrel racing!!!!!! (: sooo cute!
Now THAT is the right response. Thanks to grandpa, a hug for grandpa, and THEN the horse inspection. She has obviously had a good upbringing. Also, @1234wolfstar so what if she gets to forge a relationship with the horse before it gets broken in. By the time it gets broken in, she will be bigger.
Stop hating. You see a 5 minute video and automatically know everything about the horse and the family? That horse could turn into a GREAT family horse with good training.
@horserunner8 Ya, i ride jumpers and when i was first buying i got a very well trained horse because people always told me: Green and Green equals black and blue
Aww so cute all i would say is that she is to young for a yearline , and im 11 and im getting a horse when im 14 :) 3 more years!!!! iv been waiting since i was 6 :)
aww ur sooo lucky, i dont have a horse :( but i ride them, i have been riding for 4 years, i ask my parents if i could get one but they say no :( when i'm older i'm gonna buy one :D adorable horse tho :)
wow.. 2 years? I've only been riding like 3 year olds, and I know that they're pretty tricky sometimes.. but I bet if you train her often, it will work out just fine :)
@mygreathorse i am the same ! lmao. i am looking into livery and stuff now and am planning on a haflinger or cobby type next year if all goes to plan ! im so excited but nervous too.. im scared ill mess up
She's not. I had my first horse (who was 16.2 hh) when I was only 7. He was wonderful and if the horse has a good heart, then it doesn't matter what age the owner/rider is. Age is just a number.
Cute horse :) its ur choice on wat horse u want so you go for it, but not trained (NOT TO BE MEAN) thats quite dangerous. But ur really lucky to get a horse. :) Congratulations :)) good luck with it, :))
15? LOL You act like that's your whole life! I know many adults who didn't get their first horse until they were settled down in their 30's and even some in their 60's still with dreams of getting a horse! Trust me, with plenty of hard work you can do it
were you a green rider when yo got your first horse. i got a pretty green arab for my first horse but i was 12 and had learned a lot about horses and waited a long time for one.
Have you ever taken care of a horse or known how expensive they are? I too wanted a horse when i was small, then finally when I graduated from uni and got a job, I bought my horse, it costs the same as a small house, they live for 30 years, and they are a huge responsibility, the people in this video are all going to help no doubt, perhaps your family are just not horse orientated? perhaps horse share first, show them how responsible you are.
@breyermox, stop judging!! I started riding, ALONE when I was two years old. Never rode a pony, not once. Was running barrels and poles at 4. Learned to Cowgirl Up before it was the catch phrase of the Century. 51 years later, I am still riding and giving lessons to little girls just like this one and NOT on a pony.
@bluesparta2012 I know, I am obsessed with horses and would work at the barn every single day but my parents always said not until your thirteen... Let me say longest couple of years in my whole life XD
@Oliviaaloveshorses8 Yeah when a 7 year old girl is training a BABY. Her parent's should have got her a older horse thats 13+ years old. One thats already trained. You can't expect a 7 year old to train a baby. You should have at least 7+ years of training with horses before you get a baby.
I love when people do this. This memory will be with the child forever. Such a nice family :)
Thanks for all the wonderful comments…! This is my niece, who by far resemble you mother. I am so lucky to know such loving and grateful people.

that is so cute. i really like how young she is and how she apreciates the gifts that she gets and I hope she knows how lucky she really is.
thank you!!! i agree !! ive been hoping, wishing, praying and saving ever since i was 9 to get my very own off track thouroughbred !! and whenever i see videos like this of little girls it drives me insane !!!
That's adorable! I'm glad I got my first horse. Isn't what I was expecting, but still love her to pieces!
I wish my parents were this nice I have wanted a horse since I was little
Even if you know what your are getting, and you smell it for the first time... There is nothing like finding a Dream on Your Birthday!
My grandpa bought me a horse when i was 13 after my first horse died, I am now 19 and I still got her. She's all I could ask for. :)
Just be thankful for what you have. I hope one day you can have a horse too. :)

No hate please! If you've always liked horses and you have never ridden one before what's the point of your parents buying you 1?

@Reneetjuh1995 becouse she might grow... but you do have a point there >.< she might be too small for the horse, since i might be too strong for her
awww:)
I wish i got a horse
spolbrat girl!!!!
Ya the horse had to be trained "broken" before the girls were able to ride. But they learned to feed and care for the horse in the mean time.
As of today 3 years later she has still not Ridden the horse.
