- Irie asked Santa for one large gift. She sang it about it every single day even. Well come Christmas morning that one gift wasn't under the tree. She didn't cry, she didn't whine, she just looked for it and when she didn't see it she just hung her head a little bit. Well the day after Christmas.....this happened!

Everyone says "its just a pony phase". Please, the parents seem to know what they need to know, and I guarantee the little girl will love this horse forever, when you get a horse its kind of an un-conditional love kind of thing, you never stop loving them

People need to grow up who are giving these people hate. You don’t now these people personally I still in the pony phase I been riding since I was 5 and now I am 18 . Jealously is a ugly trait just because you can’t have a horse doesn’t mean others can’t

My daughter got her first pony at six; best gift ever. That pony became the best "currency" in our house. If she wasn't responsible enough with her personal behavior, choices, chores, grades, etc. the pony privileges were only that she could scoop manure & feed it. Ten years later, & 3 horses, she's in 4H, Equestrain Team & teaches & trains. She responsible, practical, careful, has great grades, could care less about the two legged boys (she loves the four legged ones better!), doesnt wear makeup or mind dirt beneath her nails, has great attitude & doesn't mess with me, knowing the horses would go if she screwed up. Best investment ever made; I highly encourage parents to invest in horses. If it's lessons or leasing or summer camp; it grounds young women, challenges them, & helps them to realize they don't need a prince to save them on his steed, if they can ride their own horse.
Yalls proposal came back around in Facebook today so I had to come see what you guys were up to! Irie is sooo cute!!

Irie, you are so lucky, Cassie is beautiful, I bet you love her so much, when I was 5, I waited 4 hours in front of the clock to go ride my first time, and I rode a really big horse, and we ran like the wind, I never ever stopped loving horses, I was pointing at them before I could talk, and no one else in my family loved horses, I it's in you, it's a part of your spirit, don't ever let anyone take that away from you my love.I am a Gramma now, and I still have the spirit of the horse within me..you will be great, take your time, enjoy your ride called life...xo
I named my daughter Irie after I heard it on this channel when her name was announced. Most precious family!!

I got my first horse when I was 8 and honestly I wish I had got him a few years later. He was so much responsibility and I couldn't even ride for the first 3 years due to my height and lack of experience. Of course I loved him and I still do but looking back now I don't think it was a good idea...

Many of you are saying that she's going through a 'pony phase'. Almost every little girl and some boys go through this 'phase'. While it is true that it sometimes wears off, I believe that if a young child, like beautiful little Irie here, can grow with their horse and that 'phase' is nurtured into love and affection for the animal and the community of riders around the world.
A message to Irie and her family - Just because everyone in the comments says it was just a phase, I hope that you love Cassie The Horse until the time comes to say goodbye. I know you will treat her well, and care about her dearly. Irie, care for her as if she were a human, and give her all the love and affection you can ever have. People who are saying she is too young and it’s a pony phase, stop. You don’t know. I feel like this isn’t though, this is different than the other little girls who ARE going through the pony phase. I think she’ll grow to be an experienced rider. 🐴😀

I'm not gonna say that she is going through the pony Phase Because I don't know her. I'm 15 have ridden and wished for a horse since 11 years and never gotten one. I used to be mad at my parents because I never wished for something else than a horse as Christmas and birthday present. But really, I'm glad that my parents didn't buy me a horse when I was 8 or else I would've known what it takes to own and work for a horse. Now I constantly save money whenever I get some at Christmas, birthday etc. and work at the Restaurant near by to gain some money

no, as long as her parents know what theyre doing and can help her look after and ride her then theres no issue in it
Can everyone please stop Telling these people who they don't know what they're doing buying her a horse instead of a pony. While I understand where you're coming from, however, Its more than likely an older horse who is dulled out and I'm sure they did their research. When I was 6 I started to ride Saddleseat with American Saddlebreds. However being a big sister to a 2yo I do understand your concerin.

I never said she had to be a tenn, I said she needs to grow up a bit. She doesn't know how to lead a horse. I can see it coming, the horse will get spooked when the girl doesn't know how to ride and then the how will be blamed and killed so it does have something to do with me.

Really? hmm..well I am almost 50, my phase started at 2, and it's still going strong, will I outgrow it? When you are that young, there is nothing that influences that passion, it comes from within, and if you don't have it, then you make comments like this..
Children go through cat/dog/fish stages... but I can categorically tell you that if you're a little girl and you love horses.... you NEVER EVER grow out of it. Ever. Horse girls DO NOT go through phases.
