Wow!!!! I just love the way Pastor Bohr has tackled this topic, he's kept it simple yet revealing and biblical as much as he has surely quoted from EGW herself. Amazing. To God be the glory.🥰
Oh New Mexico, my state is in great need of local ministers. Please pray that within my state a body of believers would be raised for faithful stewardship.🙏
I’m not sure about the series but there is a sermon called the testimony of Jesus and Ellen white where he discussed the parallels between Ellen white and John the Baptist. Hope that helps. God bless
As a convert to the SDA church, I would feel very uncomfortable to put the writings of Ellen G. White on equal ground with the Bible. Although the Bible is an ensemble and /or compilation of many writings, from Moses to the apostles, I would feel more comfortable to insert the writings of Ellen G. White in the commentary section of the Bible, instead of canonizing them as authoritative scriptures. That is not to say that her writings are not inspired, rather, it is simply a careful approach to ensure that we understand the Bible to stand alone as the sole authority in matters of salvation.
Pastor Bohr answers many questions and they are so simple that everyone can understand true purpose why God gave us so much counsels from Ellen White. Same inspiration and same authority from God gave us all counsels. I recommend everyone to listen pastor Bohr to the end.
@Joe Irwin once again, I don't have a profound knowledge of her writings, but the little that I know, attested to me that her writings are inspired. However, on the prudent side, and to avoid any controversy, I prefer to credit the Bible for all my salviffic resources and use her writings as an additional source on the side.
Willem I would not worry about it. As long as you believe that her writings are inspired everything else is ok. People can put road block up in their spiritual journey, so don't do that.
The simplest way to answer the question of the writings of EGW and the writings of the Bible is to take it per topic . For example, take a simple topic like evangelism and discipleship. What does the Bible says about it, compare it with EGW writings about it. What's her authority over evangelism? If you can agree that her writing is at per with what the Bible says then its equally authoritative.
To accept that there is another “authoritative voice” other than the Scriptures is to deny the #1 point of the FIVE SOLAS of the Protestant reformers. "Sola Scriptura~ Scripture Alone". To accept Ellen White as an authoritative voice equal with the Scriptures is to reject this foundational Protestant teaching. It makes no difference what “purpose” you want to ascribe to her writings. It places the SDA church in the same category as the Catholics who view papal authority as equal with the Bible. We need to be careful that we do not make Ellen White an “Adventist pope”. There is absolutely no way that the SDA Church can claim they believe in “Sola Scriptura” as long as they hold the belief that Ellen White is an authoritative source of spiritual instruction equal with the Scriptures. They can no longer claim to be true Protestants.

Thanks! I truly appreciate you Pr. Bohr and your team. I have learned so much from your ministry. GOD blessed you!

I said a prayer now.
I didn't know I needed to see this! Thank you Pastor Bohr.
I like to know why you took down
the series the voice of God series
Note to producer/editor:
It seems d audio is in LO setting? Its better set to HI/louder than LO. Juz saying. Thanx.
He did not directly answer the second question, “Are the writings of Ellen White infallible?” This is an important question for Adventists to answer.
Pr. Bohr mentions a previous series he did showing the parallels between John the Baptist's ministry and EGW's. Anyone knows the name of that series?

The Health Message is a good example. The SDA people are the longest living religious group. That says a lot. The Holy Spirit inspired all.
