In an effort to not pee down his legs he sprays out the back which is not very nice to have around camp. It's a bummer but his constant appetite eventually ruined him as a pack goat.

I'm a newcomer to your journey with your animals, and have only had a Firebox (Nano) for about a year or so, so I'm pretty fresh around here. I haven't seen nearly every video with Ash. But our black lab Juno, almost 14, was officially diagnosed with bone cancer over the holidays, although it was definitely there before. She was there since I was a young teenager and I first held her as a puppy, and she still wags when she hears my voice and sees my face. Seeing the end coming has made me reflect on the past decade and some. We've only got a few months left with medication to let her exit with dignity, and every time I get to see her I add it to that mental registry of moments I never want to forget. I imagine you have the same connection with Ash, although you've definitely led her on quite a bit more adventures than my pup (as lazy as she likes to be)! My condolences for her passing; you've definitely given her a fantastic life, chock-full of experiences and sensations. When it comes to our companions, we are their everything, and I think Ash got everything from you. I don't think she lacked for anything a dog would ever want.
You description with your pup sounds exactly to my experience with Ash. It's a hard thing to go through but looking back I see it as a time filled with love and connection both with Ash and my family as we were all suffering through her loss together. In that way Ash continued giving one last gift of connection and a lifetime memories of the very sweet moments we shared as we spent most of the day taking turns digging her grave and preparing her resting place so gentle peaceful and sad... So sad but it was a special kind of sad, so full of sweetness as we all cared for each other. So lovingly. A real bonding moment that we will all cherish. Thanks for your beautiful comment and how it helped me reflect on a very special moment at the end of a very special part of my life. My condolences to you. I think you're going through the hardest part right now. You'll know when the time is right. I heard that said prior to all this and found it to be true. BTW... I'm Canadian and I can find maple flakes here to take backpacking when I'm having pancakes for breakfast. Lots easier to carry than maple syrup and you don't need to worry about leaks. (Maple flakes are the same as maple syrup except that they boiled off even more of the water... same great taste!)

Just joined the kickstarter. This is a great idea and well thought out design. Will be glade to add it to the kit to go with my stove. I really enjoy the videos you put out using your products, it continuously opens my mind to the vast potential that little stove has if you just try it. The videos make me want to use it more and more everytime I watch. It’s fun to bust that thing out on a camping trip and impress someone new to the idea. Oooo... I'm tempted. The closest thing to baking I've done in the woods was using a reflector oven, but that's pretty limited and requires a fire pit. I use cast iron a lot at home and could see lots of use car camping and paddle camping (I think it's a bit heavy for me to backpack it)

The Do-it-All Dutch Oven 5-Way Bushcraft Cast-iron Cooker - A cast-iron heirloom to pass down to next generations. You should have put the manufacturer year stamp on it. This way as people continuing to purchase this great item in the years to come can say, they have a first run edition! Cast-iron collectors like this sort of thing. I guess you can put it on the next production run, so those people that don’t have any date on theirs will know it’s the first edition.

Thanks, Because of multiple blockages Levi had his urinary tract rerouted out the back which makes it difficult to put a pack on him. In an effort to not pee down his legs he sprays out the back which is not very nice to have around camp. It's a bummer but his constant appetite eventually ruined him as a pack goat.

I love it when I see her and one little dog and 2 goats carrying food on their backs and walking to the campsite. they are all very obedient.. he is a quiet and obedient dog.
