Tim Walz matters - Kamala was probably going to win - now she's got it in the bag. Tim is amazing - Shapiro may have delivered pennsylvania - but this doesn't always happen - and it's not necessary - Tim is the right choice from a very very talented shortlist - i wanted Pete Buttegieg - but i'm delighted anyway.

Walz is by far the smartest pick for a dozen reasons. Keeping Shapiro in the mix until now was also smart tactics. Harris and her campaign are clearly no fools.

Making sure children have food to eat at school if they are not getting enough at home, and people can take holidays and parental leave - only in the US would this be considered 'progressive' rather than simple common sense and humanity. Nancy Pelosi worked with Walz and describes him as a moderate in Congress.
