Lovely to see your parents again. And that apple pie looked incredible! So sorry about the lost footage, but you seem to have recovered nicely. It was a good episode. Thank you.
Thank you so much Martijn for another video. As a mother with grown children, it touched my heart to see your dear parents there with you for those precious few days. They trust in God for your well being! Your finished walls are beautiful from all that tedius and painstaking work. The grass you planted really took off! It's all shaping up into your dream. Well, it isn't a dream anymore! May it all continue to go well, may you enjoy it always in good health! God be with you.🙏💕

It is great to 'meet' the parents of such an extraordinary man!! The two of them must be so proud!! How wonderful for you to have them come visit. I was soo happy to see the chickens. I love listening to them.
You get a lot from two or three days. Thank you for sharing your parents with us. My mouth watered at the sight of the apple cobbler. Two years, just over 700 days on your mountain. Look at what you’ve accomplished. Congratulations. I wonder at what 10,000 days will be like? 😊

Just beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤ Why do I burst into tears without fail at the end of every single video from Martijn and I have been with him since week #1? I am an old lady in Canada, no kids or grandkids, no partner, who never had parents who wanted to spend time with me. It was a childhood of non-stop yelling and criticism and being ignored, so I was always afraid I would be like my selfish parents so I never had a family of my own. How lovely to have your parents visit. Typical pappa, has to keep busy - just like you! And the pie Mamma made! Oh! My! Beautiful and I’ll bet was delicious.
When ALL are put in place, the cabin and the profound memories itch in the minds and hearts of many who contributed in your endeavor will remember and perhaps say, I just know I worked on that, or I planted those trees and so on. How fortunate you can share your haven with your Mom and Dad. They look peaceful and happy making memories with you. Nighttime walks, campfire talks, and video of your Mothers hands lovingly folding flour into into the butter and eggs. It brought tears. You have a gift for capturing moments. Thank you.
What a beautiful visit with your parents. The moon walk, your mom’s lovely pie, the hard work with the pointing, and the heavenly vistas of your property. Your filming and editing superb. I just love seeing your videos. Much love and good health to you ❤
I know one word in Dutch: it's very appropriate for the cake your mom made: lekker. Also, another few words: gezellig samen eten. Did I remember well? I'm Peruvian but spent 9 months in Holland 30 years ago.
I love your mother! What a wonderful woman. There is an old saying...to the world, a Yankee is from the US. To someone from the US, a Yankee is from the North. To a Northerner, a Yankee is from New England. To a New Englander a Yankee is from Vermont, and to a Vermonter a Yankee is someone who eats pie for breakfast! Especially Hample Pie, which is apple with some diced ham and flavored lightly with maple syrup. May I say, your family obviously well represents one of the finest traditions we Vermonters inherited from our European forebears. I enjoy your videos very much. And, I am enjoying reading your first book. Before I met him, my husband rode his bicycle from southern California, up the coast into Oregon, then turned east until he arrived in Portsmouth New Hampshire.
I experience more peace of mind watching these videos than a quiet weekend off at home. I am surprised there are not over a million subs at this point in the series. They don't know what they are missing. Thanks Martijn.
You're so lucky to still have your lovely parents...seeing you with them made me miss mine quite sharply suddenly. They must be very proud of their skilled, hard-working son.
Watching your mother’s hands making the pie was so familiar to me. As I have watched my mother bake the very same way. It is one way to show her love and concern for you.🇨🇦❤️🥧

Great video. Enjoyed seeing your parents visiting. I can't get over how well your father does. He radiates knowledge and strength. He's up in his years yet, you wouldn't know it watching him pull starting the trimmer and saw not to mention doing all the trimming and cutting as well. I could taste that apple pie. That looked so delicious and mouth watering. Both of your parents are strong folks. Taking that evening walk to lookout over civilization with the lights and the moon racing off in the sky was beautiful. Also, the drone footage above the cottages really shows the progress you've made. It's all starting to paint a awesome picture. I know there's a lot more to go but, you can easily see how nice it's going to be. Hat's off to you Martin, the hard work is certainly showing.
Sunday without a video was a bit stressful - wondered if Martijn had got tired of doing this ! Happy to see your family visiting again & the happy chicks loving the apple peels ! What an idyllic spot ! Thanks for the spiritual uplift !
Thank you for sharing a wonderfully special visit with your precious parents, your beautiful work completions, those heavenly views and topping-it-off with yummy apple pie. You are truly blessed!
Oh, the pleasures of a parental visit... with, I think, just a touch of chagrin. Make the most of it. The walls are looking gorgeous and, while I've long been impressed by your campfire bread baking, pulling off that pie was extraordinary to me. Watching the white chicken run behind you, perhaps to catch any critters you stirred up, was quite humorous. As an avid viewer I thank you for spending extra filming time, especially with family visiting, to put out this delayed posting. I only hope none of that lost video included your parents. And thanks for the captioning suggestion!
I’m so sorry you lost part of your video ,I missed your Sunday video ,I so enjoy your videos ,the nature you expose us to and the beautiful homestead you are building .it’s a gift you share …thank you .♥️🇨🇦

Your parents come for holiday and dad immediately starts working. That's love. Your mom reminded me of my mom wearing flip flops (thongs?). Mine wore hers year round. Glad that you all could be together and share that beautiful cobbler. Losing your footage must have been a bit of a disappointment but it probably happens to everyone at some point. Very best wishes to all!

You are blessed to have such wonderful parents.
Finally!!!! I had to reschedule my weekend due to this delay 😂
😂
Sunday without a video was a bit stressful - wondered if Martijn had got tired of doing this ! Happy to see your family visiting again & the happy chicks loving the apple peels ! What an idyllic spot ! Thanks for the spiritual uplift !
I can see where you get your good work ethic from, and your parents must be extremely proud of you . Great videos too.
Are you joking...!?!?
If not, then this is definitely not a good way to approach things....!!
Hurts the routine 😂
Martijn You are a amazing person all around,I can see where this all started from . Mom&Dad are the best 👍👍. 😇👍🇺🇸
Don't sweat the footage, it happens. Still a robust episode and great to see the progress.
Another 28 minutes and 52 seconds of pure bliss. Thanks Martijn!
Thank you for sharing a wonderfully special visit with your precious parents, your beautiful work completions, those heavenly views and topping-it-off with yummy apple pie. You are truly blessed!
The night lights are magical. Wow, look at the city below. This is almost as enchanting as the greenery during the day.
Martijn has stated in a previous video that these are just multiple small towns and farms. Turin is further to the left.
Yeah, the white chicken running was also a highlight for me.
I’m so sorry you lost part of your video ,I missed your Sunday video ,I so enjoy your videos ,the nature you expose us to and the beautiful homestead you are building .it’s a gift you share …thank you .♥️🇨🇦
So lovely that your parents got to see your progress. Your mother's apple looks delicious!
The pie turned out beautifully! It was touching to see your Mom’s hands kneading dough in the same bowl your hands do.❤
That’s so frustrating to lose so much video but we’re thankful for what you share. I’m sure you were glad to have your parents there.
So gorgeous!
I knew mama was going to make something to eat!
Even before I read it in the title.
Thank you, mama! 🥧‼️😋
Dankie, Martijn. Jy is geseend om nog jou ouers so aktief te he en dat hulle jou kan kom besoek en bystaan. Hartverwarmend! Dankie.

Looks like you said Heartwarming and Thank You Well said !
Wow, I can read it, but I had to look up what strange dialect of Dutch this was. I forgot Afrikaans! Wat leuk, en je spreekt waarheit.
Always when your family are around, are the best episodes 🙏🙏🙏
You are so very blessed to still have parents - BOTH parents! - and it comforts my heart to see that bond and their abilities, both mental and physical, till intact. So beautiful, so comforting, to be so blessed that you cherish those moments and best of memories for days and years to come. Thank you for sharing, Martijn. Much love to you and your parents (and cutest chickens) from Texas USA.
Thank you for sharing such a precious time, cherish these times as they don’t last nearly long enough.
Maybe the footage is hiding somewhere and hopefully you will happen upon it some time in the future. I hope so 😊
