This is an OLD COUNTRY SONG....Lying Eyes by the Eagles...
It's in G MAJOR/E min.....In the course...it's going to do weird stuff.lol
It's actaully going to go...G maj...G7...into the C Maj...then C maj7
to A Maj..A min7...A7 into D Maj...then different cadence D7...add 11 or the 4th.
It'll make sense if you're familar with different scales or
the LEADING TONE , voice leading Passing notes/chords
A min......D min......E min
A min D min E7.......G# into A ( Harmonic min)
A min D7 E7 .....now F# into G...as well) ( Melodic min)
The SOLO to HOTEL Ca...actaully combines..it
From A minor......( keys are just pitch)
E min....F Maj...F# dim..GMaj...G# dim
D7 = F# dim/D
E7 = G# dim/E
or like this.... ( DORIAN with a LEADING TONE)
From E minor..G major
Play....E min....F# dim G# dim into A melodic min
A min B dim C# dim into D Melodic minor
The TONIC...to Dominant Derive from (N6) Harmonic min b2 or Melodic min b2
It's the Bb note after A ....which is just b7 from C.
Or you can play E harmonic min b5 = C HANGARIAN MAJOR.
It'll help you cycle down to 4th...or play CADENCE...
A min Bb maj7 C7 D min.....F MAJOR.....makes sense ????
But you can also play it as Bb DOMINANT....Bb7 to Eb MAJOR/C minor
It'll make sense here...if you;re familar or ALSO SEE the melodic
minor as Ionian b3 ..if you modulated from C Major to C melodic min
F7 G7 into C min ( C Melodic minor)
Bb7 C7 into F melodic minor.
or
It'll intersect here....Bb maj7 as lydian ish to D minor/F MAJOR
or lets say to play A lydian b3 ( Melodic min #4) ( E Harmonic MAJOR)
A min.....B7 into E Maj7.....( you could play B7 into E MAJOR or E minor
or
G#7 ( phrygian b4) into C# minor
You can use the ( N6) C# harmonic min b2........DMaj or D7.....E7 into A min
as if you're playing A melodic minor.
or from A minor....play A min D7 into G minor
D7 into G MAJOR or G minor...
It'll overlap....G min...A min BbAug....C7 D7 ( G melodic minor)
The II chord of melodic min is also minor chord ( dorian b2)
A Melodic min b2 is just Dorian b2 with a LEADING TONE
It'll simply turn the Bb to AUGMENTED to G Harmonic min or G melodic min..ect
The scales makes different sounds....but they're also USEFUL TOOLS to
help you SHIFT KEYS...smoother.
Your vids are really helping being that I just started learning how to play the bass guitar. I'm having issues with my e string continues to give off a tone after I release it. So do just have to stop it or is it something that just has to b fixed
