wow their lead singer can really sing. when I hear his recordings i always wondered if he can sing like that live. question answered.
His name's Patrick Stump, and yes, yes he can. If you're curious and want to check out more, he released a solo album called Soul Punk around 2011.
+James Patterson Ive seen them live twice and was disappointed with the sound quality- then again Ive played shows outside and sound can be an issue, but ya they rock!

Patrick's vocals sound like he's slipping on the "best of us can find happiness in misery" part. But I suppose he didn't care, did he. Then the guitars! I bet they were like, "Light 'em up,up,up.Light 'em up,up,up. Light 'em up,up,up! I'm on FIRE!"
Reading through the comments and they are mostly hate. Someone said Pete's bit is easy but he still has to look down to check it, of course he does. Even professionals have to check their fingering or they play the wrong fucking note
It's also a way of avoid the crowd and deal with stage fright. Pete's not a front man, and he might not like making eye contact with the audience.
i agree, i dont know if anyone notices but Pete tends to look down, but in many live performances. I think its just a force of habit for him honestly. Either way the performance was great so why complain? am i right?

There was also a point in time where Pete didn’t really “know” how to play bass and just played what Patrick told him to, but I don’t know if Infinity-Folie days were in that period

Okay. Hold on a minute. I am a trained singer and musician, for eleven years. I'm a pretty good musician. I am new to being a fan of FOB, but they sound really good live. Different from in studio. But awesome. I've heard and seen a lot of live performances and recordings, and they sound really fucking good live.
Best live performance im in love with Fob, it kinda sounds like its auto tuned a couple places but patrick is so godly maybe thats just his voice, i want him.... and im a hetero male.

Dakota - it's interesting how ALL the members of FOB are doing these awesome things separately and really shining in their own right. I'd love to see FOB evolve to something of a cross between Queen/Prince and the Revolution (not New Power Generation) with an updated sound. I think Folie a Deux was a good step in that direction. They sound more mature there (including many of the things they did musically).

To everyone posting about the auto tune, i can kinda hear it but its minor pitch correction. using it dose not make you a terrible singer. If any of you have ever been in a band, you'll know its hard as hell to play and sing full time or actually be in motion on stage and sing everything perfectly, you can try as hard as you like, but with the heavy breathing and everything that comes with performing, its not always that easy to be spot on.

The introduction on Ultimate Guitar sonds right (I only have an acoustic guitar right now) but in Patrick Stump's 35second video of him showing the song, he plays the 2 thickest strings only. The one I play is the 4th,5th and 6th string.

It makes perfect sense. Artists use autotune live to help make their performance vocally sound more on-key like the recorded version would be. Its definitely not as much as T-Pain or whoever, but its still there. I guarantee it
