Here's a better explanation of Dan's nutrition game (which I kind of butchered in the video... sorry Dan!) 🍎 Dan's Nutrition Cards Game (In Dan's words this time) In addition to using them with Jake the Hungry Snake in 3rd grade, I plan to use your cards throughout the year in other grades. I crafted another set of cards and made 30 sets (each student gets these 3 poker sized cards perfect for kid hands). Groups of 3-4 will get all of one color family of your cards. On my directive, someone from each group will flip over the first card and all players in that group will evaluate it, then play one of their 3 cards. Group discussion questions are in the white box on each card, then link to real world is in white font (spoiler alert regardless of card played, they exercise!). After most players have completed their exercise, we move on to the next card. After completing all 8 from a particular color family, we wrap up and move on to a different activity if time permits. In a few weeks, we repeat the activity but with a different set of cards (and of course, there are enough to do this up to 6 times during the year).
