I’ve been trying to find some info on these cacti 🌵. How do you get them to have multiple branches like your large one? I have one that has grown another six inches taller but no new branches. The current arms really haven’t grown much...one branch/arm looks like it shrank a little.

haha! So interesting that RUclips decided it wasn't suitable for all viewers and they demonitized the video. Really!? Oh well!

I live in 8b. I keep it outside in a pot every November i bring it in and put it on a 12 hr light cycle. My family is used to plants everywhere.
    Thanks for the insight

These are a nice cactus. One of my favorites. Disease and bug free. Once in a while a pad will break off and you have a new plant to give away.

Awesome ! My Rubescens is already 2 feet high, with no arms yet. I'm in an apartment building, so it will eventually get too tall. I don't have the heart to cut the top off it when it gets too tall. The vertical growth fits my window sill well, much better than my Opuntia Monacantha bushy one is. Aarre Peltomaa

If the pads get knocked off will it grow back new ones?

They should grow new pads throughout their life. And you can pop the broken off pads into the soil and they'll grow whole new plants for ya.

Quick question. Im in Miami Fl I have several roadkills and one that is a good 5-6’ tall. It is in great shape and healthy with multiple pads (arms, hands, fingers 😂). My problem is that i have never seen any flowers. How do i make it flower.

Do you happen to know the difference between the opuntia rubescens and the opuntia falcata?

dries out the wounds and gets it to callous over more quickly so pathogens can't get in and infect the plant. :)
