Finding out she had just given birth, right out of the blue, when even she didn't know she was pregnant, must have been a bombshell ...
So, rightly, but mostly wrongly, he let his emotions get the better of him ...
But when Gabby showed up later, him cradling his granddaughter, with that smile of pure joy, meant he definitely turned around ...

when Darla was just a baby, she moved to Miami, never came back. He's blaming himself for all this, but he did the best he could for her. Took a demotion so he could be home when she got out of school. Coached every soccer team, showed up for every school play.
Being a single father he knows the problems he had to face and choice he had to make but you guys keep abusing him, being a single parent is tough and now his daughter has to go through the same things he did and had to make sacrifices for her daughter.

I've been trying to have a baby with my fiance and it hurts so much every time I have my period. It hurts more when people have kids and then mistreat them. I can't imagine having a child and when they have a child unexpectedly, yelling and wanting nothing to do with them. Even when your child makes mistakes, you help them fix or live with it. If you have a chance to repair a relationship with your child, do it before you can't.
Dude was scared and frustrated and overall disappointed in himself thinking that he had failed as a father, He had a right to be mad and angry. He felt years of raising her by himself trying to teach her right and wrong feeling for naught due to her actions.

They may have done, but, as my First Aid instructor said, during the Three Day crash course I took, if the contractions are coming fast, then cutting is faster, especially as you need to know how much the baby is crowning, or, like here, if it's a breech-birth, in which case, the faster, the better ...

Omg somehow this reminds me of how my mom has 3 brothers, and her youngest brother is 10 years younger than her. My grandma lifting boxes and stuff because they had moved the rooms around, and it turns out she was 8 months pregnant and didn't even know it! She didn't have much of a belly, so she had no idea 😂
