Whenever I listen to this song, I am somehow transported back to the first time…I mean the real first time I can say that I loved someone romantically. I remember the pavements we walked along Tomas Morato. Naalala ko pa, kwinento ko how my hometown got its name. He then told me stories about the place where he grew up. At that time, I was just walking along with someone for a good hour. Never have I thought that my life would be shaped by one person. I am sure that I no longer love him, but how I loved him. More than anything, I really do miss the version of me that is capable of being devoted to someone so fearlessly, the way I did loved him. My hope is for a future where I could still have the privilege of falling in love with all its complexities. If that day do come, I know that I will take extra time looking at his face, holding his hands, and talking to him because it’s the small moments in between that I miss.

She is not underrated. She has a name and title that she has always been known and respected for. Her prime is during mid 2000s to mid 2010s. Maybe, u meant underappreciated. She has always been an amazing singer but ppl only praise her when she belts like other singers in the Philippines. That’s because RnB is not everybody’s cup o’ tea. Let us admit that, and be proud that she remained authentic in her genre for 20 years and counting.

When I first heard Kyla sang this song was when I was in highschool and me and my friends went to the Calamba City plaza to watch artists perform to celebrate Jose Rizal's birthday. I think it was around 2001 or 2002. Then, I heard Kyla sang on the stage and heard her voice live. I cant explain how I felt that time. What I can remember is that I tried to come closer to the stage to see and hear if that is a true voice I am hearing. And that's when I started loving Kyla. I dont care that time if anyone else loves her. I do and will always do. I am a forever Kyla fan. Her voice is so soul-touching especially in live performance. 🥰😘💜

I think beyond the technique, Kyla’s voice alone is truly what separates her from the rest. She has this tone that’s so airy, husky & cool, and it comes so naturally. There’s not much editing you need to do. You literally feel like you’re listening to angel. Not only that she is gifted with such a beautiful tone (honestly the most beautiful I’ve ever heard), God also gifted her the ability to execute vocals most singers aren’t able to duplicate. Every time she does runs, it’s always so clean and precise. Always well practiced, well thought of, and always well done. You want to listen to it again and again.
