    Sorry but it is unusual to sees kali using "kain sarung" as a weapon
    And the skirts you said is just like sampin
    And the move you make just like jurus in silat

      FYI, silat and Kali have both in common. They have similarities in movement flows because both of these fighting system originated from the Majapahit Empire which covers the whole of indonesia, Borneo, Mindanao and extendsand upto the rest of Philippines and parts of Malay peninsula. The two combat system are the evolution of each generations that passed by after the fall of Majapahit Empire..
      If global colonization didn't takes place, herhaps Indonesia and the Philippines could have been one Nation today.

      @Zhan Zhen it seems to you that the Cebuano Dialect is an ancient tongue.. If I tell you that Cebuano tongue is a derived version of the Original Bisaya tongue. Cebuano dialect was born at the beginning of Spanish reign particularly in Cebu Island which Spaniards begun to adopt the local Bisaya dialect and the reason why Cebuano became the Slang version of Bisaya. Other than that, Cebu was the center of the Spanish force at the time that eventually spread all throughout the territories where locals speaks Bisaya.. Lapu Lapu is not even a lumad of Mactan. The previous ties in trades and governance between the Kingdoms of the Philippines(Manila, Cebu and Butuan), Sulu Archipelago, Kingdom of Maguindanao, Borneo, Sumatra and the Malay peninsula shared one thing in common..but this discussion is out of contex.. I don't want to argue about someone's ignorance who's pretending to be a learned individual that claims he knows very well about their own past.. It's a shame to know that locals does not even know much information about thier history.

    Phililipines and Indonesia could have been one nation if not for colonialism era takes place.

      That's impossible. South East Asia are comprised of warring tribes. The very nature of our culture, due to geography makes us tribal, hence the different dialects among SE Asian nation.
      The concept of nationhood is actually introduced by Europe. If Europe did not colonize, we might still be on each other's throats.

    sarong its traditional clothes from indonesia and malaysia...not from philpino..including kerambit,,,as weapon of Silat... just search silat arts...

    • @dockilat5576
      @dockilat5576 2 года назад

      Wrong. In the Southern Philippines, the mostly native and Muslim population wear the sarong or malong. Although as a weapon in martial arts, i don't think the majority have this knowledge but only probably to an elite or Royal entity. The bladed weapon also is mostly the kris or kampilan depending on the tribes.

    Silat is a beautiful art. Kali. Beautiful. But they are so brutal. So dangerous in the people who focus, and believe in themselves they’re labeled the “Murder Arts”. Catch Wrestling and BJJ would get those labels if they’re were no rules. Pure Pencak Silat, Arnis, Eskrima, Kali…Like Muay Boran or Lethwei get it done with no rules. They train with blades. What rules come after the rule that says knives are allowed? I’m doing dictation so forgive me. But these arts are to be respected and appreciated. You’ll never find a Silat or FMA instructor that says he wasted his/her time. I’m doing dictation so please forgive me for any complicated or Absolutely foolish looking statements. Notice I said looking. God bless you all.

    That's Silat a Malay martial arts not filipino's. Sarong is staple of Silat. Don't mix up with FMA. Karambit is also a Malay traditional weapon not filipino.
