I am thoroughly impressed. It's so rare to see somebody who's capable of applying that over-exaggerated, cartoonish animation style to 3D models and make it work. This is just... beautiful. Still as terrifying as the original, but still... Beautiful.
Sir i Love how you added your own touches into this masterpiece of a scene! Especially the ambient lights and the camera movements that is adds to telling the story!
I didn’t think someone could use 3D Animation to so perfectly replicate the look and feel of something like Ren and Stimpy. Using SFM no less. You are the best at what you do.
There are no words to describe how terrifying and amazing this video is. I've waited a long long time to see a ren and stimpy sfm parody. And you have made me very happy. I only have one question, will you plan to do the "Filthy catbox" scene with the over the top insane laughter?
+Ultraman .Ultimo I've thought about doing the rest eventually, but no idea when or even if I will get around to it. As it is this two minute section of the episode took me almost an entire year to do.
"Hey, it works!" He... he didn't test it. He slapped a helmet that could have potentially exploded, leaving a decapitated corpse with a smoking neck-stump right in front of him. And he didn't test it.
This is one of the few well made and animated sfm videos I know, I like to come back and appreciate the effort on somehow whl truly understands animation movement
I've studied the original clip in animation school a lot, even re-animating parts of it by hand as a study, and I have to say this is really well done. Nothing can ever quite match John K's crazy and gross exaggerated drawings, but you did excellent here considering what you were working with.
+Bill Cass Thanks! I totally agree with you. The whole time I was working on this I kept wondering if I was shooting myself in the foot because there is no way to match John K's genius in the original. Kind of gave up that goal and just do "reimagining" in the style of TF2.
0:20 spy's arm clips through his leg, this is intentional because it sells the motion. This is like Elsa's hair clipping through her neck durring her song let it go.
I didn't even know 3D animation was capable of this. Why don't the big studios do shit like this? Well okay I know the answer to that, this takes an unfathomable amount of work. And passion. This is amazing.
Sure it took a while to make but this result is absolutely incredible. I love all the subtleties mixed in with all the over the top goofy poses, it really helps sell the whole thing. Excellent work!
This really turned out great! The lighting and camera movements really did a lot to pull it together in the end, as well as all of the other little tweaks you made. Honestly, I would say doing another polish pass at this point might be a little unnecessary, but that's for you to decide, haha. It's awesome to see this completed after all this time, but getting to see each pass made it even more of a joy to keep up with. Looking forward to seeing whatever it is you decide to work on next!
This episode was simultaneously horrifying and gut-bustingly hilarious at the same time. Ren and Stimpy always had this surreal, twisted delight to it.
I love this so much, I can't stop repeating bits of animation and trying to disect different movment and figuring out how you do it. I am not that new to SFM but there is a lot too learn!
You are pretty good at animating these characters, it is just wonderful how realistic is it! I wonder what happen if you make a complete story with this very good animating skill
Oh yes.
*This is PERFECTION.*
Wow, the movement is spot on!

This is the episode
Having seen the development of this video, shed a tear of happiness.
+Mario Hyrulia now you must go do nice things

3 years late but, you’re right. It is super hard, especially with a buggy animation tool like SFM.
@@amongusisbad508 he prob uses locks on the body to help it not be that buggy lol
The animation's really impressive and Spy's posing is stunning when he walks in the end. Amazing work!
Yeah, it’s super close to the original thing
That looks brilliant, and the screen on the remote was a nice touch. Nice job!
Ren's voice surprisingly matches Spy

I never thought the day TF2 and Ren and Stimpy would become one.
This was without a doubt the most disturbing thing in Ren and Stimpy, congrabulations on taking it to another level and executed so well

Well if you won't, maybe I'll give it a shot..soon as I find a kitty litter box model
Should be done with medic if only for the laughter
@@AnimBaum Lmao, even the original took a year to make!
oh I have words... WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK
I bet if John K. saw this video, he would criticize it just because it's animated in CG. Look at the talent that went into it
nah i think he would really like this. he says he inspires to make cartoony CGI animation, like this.
And yet he used CG BG in Cans without Labels
Fucking hell this was so smooth and well animated, great job man
Ikr rip dreams of working at valve cause he'll get the spot before I ever get close haha
The Cheshire Cat explain the low views
Man this is terrifying as all heck...
That said, I loved every second of it.
"Hey, it works!"
He... he didn't test it. He slapped a helmet that could have potentially exploded, leaving a decapitated corpse with a smoking neck-stump right in front of him. And he didn't test it.
They're cartoon characters, they'll be fine.
To add to NormalMan’s comment, they’re TF2 characters. They will respawn.
:)
Besides, his head splits in two when he laughs
this will be part of the "Spy and Engie" show.
The bone crackling sounds for me are so disturbing, yet i can't stop watching this.
Fantastic work.

Oh boi, engie looks so cute in this video
Now I need a "Happy Happy Joy Joy" animation
Jos PanTostado even at the part where he laughs so crazy.

God, this scene is still terrifying in TF2 format

It's like watching your firstborn child go to college as a freshman.
It took years of hard work to get to this point!
?
Holy shit, jaw-dropping animation! Truly superb!
Holy crap! I hadta slow it down to confirm that, yes, Spy does that twirly hand trick to unfold his butterfly knife.
I didn't even know 3D animation was capable of this. Why don't the big studios do shit like this? Well okay I know the answer to that, this takes an unfathomable amount of work. And passion. This is amazing.
Really captures quite well how fucking insane that show is and looks.

One of my favorite short sfms.

Engie: Hey! It works!
Me: Ya mean you didn't test it?
From now on I'm gonna impose Ren's voice on all of Spy's ingame quotes the next time I play TF2.
One of his domination lines on heavy could be, "You fat bloated eediot."
I know this is a 6 year old comment…but…
Now I am hearing Rens voice with Spy: “Stimpy! You got blood on my new suit!” XD
Spy's face at 0:41 is why I live
God Engi is terrifying in this-
great work dude!
Nice! Really glad you finished this man, all that work paid off.
+Murraythis Thanks! Been a long time coming, that's for sure.

You finished it!

I love the animation in this. Very cartoonish and fits the show
It's finally done, and better than I ever imagined!

Basically That One Russian Kids Show Called Booba
This is kinda more horrifying in sfm, and I love it. Amazing work, my friend.
Spy and Engy
Ren and Stimpy
Sound perfect
I like how there's not even a dial, it's a button, because Engineer only wants Spy to get happier
I would really love to see these two act out the entire episode of Stimpy's Invention.
I don’t quite agree with the Happy Helmet method…..
But this does put a smile on my face. 😂
how is it I've only just now discovered your amazingly talented videos? dude, great fuckin job. seriously, your stuff is awesome.
Kinda wish you could make a short one with the happy happy joy joy scene. But you are a GOD OF ANIMATING!
As someone who was raised on Ren and Stimpy in the good ol' days of the 90's, this brought an honest to god smile on my face. Great job!
It's almost as if you see all the agony that he is going through.
omg this animation is so smooth and there is so much expression in the face and body, your animations are goals
I’m pleasantly surprised how well this worked! 😃
God damn the expressions and animation was spot on to the cartoon. This is a masterpiece right here
