Great interview David. I'm just thinking out loud... It's very easy to set up a Kali box in the cloud for free (e.g. Linode) using a disposable email address (e.g. 10-minute mail). Using a simple search you can find a fake credit card number (used for testing) to use to sign-up for services and because you are using minimal resources you will never be charged by the provider and the provider doesn't lose out providing you don't exceed the resourcing limits. Again, I'm just thinking out loud 😉
Just remember that the forensics team Sparc Flow mentioned now has a profile to look for - someone probably British based on the username, who watches David, using Kali, fake ccs, leaving a trail of unpaid email accounts as a base of operations. Of course that could all be completely wrong, but it's something for them to start on. Not condemning or condoning your idea, just pointing out how it could be traced.

I am a victim of identity theft. This hacker is remotely controlling my android phone with a computer and I am a 60 year and I am not computer literate. How can I get help?
@Davidbombal this video is gold. It's led me to a whole lot more of trying to understand using a set of servers (so to speak) as a layer of protection and anonymity!!
If I were given half an opportunity I wouldn't waste a moment of it. The number one ing thing holding me back is finances and certificates. I've been hacking and cracking the days of backtrack, hanging out and chatting with fellow aficionados on custom-made IRC clients. I've got the hunger, and an intuitive understanding of the methods and strategies, but I do not have the professional experience nor a degree to prove that I'm good at doing chores. I don't mind working my ass off, though, I will be wishing on the occasional shooting star for a lucky break.
Getting into security research, the thing I find baffling is having a scope. Don't get me wrong, from a business perspective of course they don't want their customers disturbed. But if you are paying me to hack you like a real hacker (as in black hat) then nothing should be out of scope. Black hat doesn't have a scope to limit them. In fact they are probably more likely to go after out of scope because they know you won't allow the white hat to test it.
Yeah, this is true, the drive to progress and the desire to learn underlies proficiency with this or that tool. Learn python in 2 weeks? Sure, whatever it takes to get a specific job done. These things are all just tools anyway. We get caught up in mastering specific tools when we need to get caught up in mastering how to learn as the need requires, I think.
You can’t know everything. Exactly that. Even after years in the industry I find myself learning again and again. It’s just the question, are you willed to keep on learning?
I really like ur videos! Could u also make a video about detecting remote control, e.g. Remote Desktop Connection, on local Windows? Alongside hacking skills, I also want to know how to protect myself/detect from being hacked.

David, your going to make my brain burn, every book you are presenting are gonna be on my "Books To Read" list ans I will not be capable of reading every one of them in my own (I hope long) life. Thanks for presenting us so many good authors and books but can you please slow down a bit. More seriously I love your channel and Ihope it will last.
Can I ask why you change the Thumb nail videos so much? Is it trying to gauge what people click on for later videos? Or is changing it up the actual method to attract more viewers?
Regarding Proton VPN, do you always recommend using the paid version, or does the free version do the job just as well? I know there are way less servers, so I understand anonymity will be reduced, but I want to hear from the experts. Thank you.
I didn't get to make it this year last one that I got to make it was Defcon was 27 I did make second place at the lock picking contest. And have a good time with the wardrobe contest. & managed to do some social engineering to spot the Fed.
The most hard think I guess is revers shelling, even if you could change positions and find public wifi's you have to port forward which is very difficult (impossible) without router configuration.
@@chulobandz5113 Cloud provider has all information on you, and anyone can find which service was used Just by range of public ip adresses. So maybe some vps with proxy chain can help which is still unsecure.

He nailed it very early on. The simple nature of hacking and info sec vulnerabilities don’t lend themselves too well to writing physical books as the technology, tools, and techniques progress at such a rate that once a book is released it is immediately outdated in some ways. Especially pen testing. I have to think the target market for these books are mostly rookies/amateurs and/or college aged kids just getting their feet wet with hacking and cyber sec basics? A Sr. Pen Tester with an active sec clearance working at a DoD prime isn’t the target audience for these books. That said, it is still a very respectable effort to put out physical books in 2022 nonetheless. So props for that.

Thanks for all the great info and advice. I am knew to the field but I love it so far. I have a passion for learning.
Great conversation, thank you both⚡️
Very well-researched and fine-made video this is.
David, thanks for the video great content as usual from you. 👍👍
This is probably the greatest forms of wisdom someone could give. Timestamp 40:40 .
Very interesting interview. Thank you very much!
this guy occupy the web and mrs. knight and malware god Daniel have been some of my favorite talks keep it up David B
Excellent Instructive Format
Yeah, this is true, the drive to progress and the desire to learn underlies proficiency with this or that tool. Learn python in 2 weeks? Sure, whatever it takes to get a specific job done. These things are all just tools anyway. We get caught up in mastering specific tools when we need to get caught up in mastering how to learn as the need requires, I think.
Thank for your efforts...... Devid sir🔥
You're welcome Dhanraj!
You can’t know everything. Exactly that. Even after years in the industry I find myself learning again and again. It’s just the question, are you willed to keep on learning?
Content curriculum is great sir

I really like ur videos! Could u also make a video about detecting remote control, e.g. Remote Desktop Connection, on local Windows? Alongside hacking skills, I also want to know how to protect myself/detect from being hacked.
I second that
Thank you. Great information ℹ️
4:29 is so funny - with the gray colours and scary background noise

Being able to have a well written report of a vulnerabilitie(s) is the MOST important step why should alibaba at the IDOR is it clear how I found it can it impact the business and in what ways etc
You need to do a series on how Ai is beginning to support/replace/improve pen and hack testing...
Can I ask why you change the Thumb nail videos so much? Is it trying to gauge what people click on for later videos? Or is changing it up the actual method to attract more viewers?
I love your content
Thank you!
I call it Hack like a pro.. this guy's got the idea.. 🙈🙉🙊
Another fantastic video. 👏 Thank You Sir
Regarding Proton VPN, do you always recommend using the paid version, or does the free version do the job just as well? I know there are way less servers, so I understand anonymity will be reduced, but I want to hear from the experts. Thank you.
epic, looking forward to the upcoming flipper zero videos
I put Manjaro on my Chromebook. Just had to disable write protection load some custom bios. Now I can boot from multiple USB’s and even an SD card.
I didn't get to make it this year last one that I got to make it was Defcon was 27
I did make second place at the lock picking contest.

& managed to do some social engineering to spot the Fed.
another great video!! thanks David :)
If I use a VPN on my work wifi via my phone, can my employer see things like my device name, website traffic, network use time, etc.?
The most hard think I guess is revers shelling, even if you could change positions and find public wifi's you have to port forward which is very difficult (impossible) without router configuration.
@@chulobandz5113 Cloud provider has all information on you, and anyone can find which service was used Just by range of public ip adresses. So maybe some vps with proxy chain can help which is still unsecure.
Thanks very much for this videos David
Amazing Podcast!
Great video, thanks for your time.
Love the conversation 😊
Hey David, another great video, what about a DVPN, a decentralized VPN from Deeper network anyone tested yet? I am a bit skeptical about it.
Great insights, love this video.
In brazil if you hacking someone since you don't steal any money is allowed, if you are a psico or a kiddinapper you can look everybody life there normally, it's happennned with me, a psico steal all of my privacity, shared with other psicos, when I've gone to the police they told that they wouldn't do anything because they didn't steal any money
Digital forensics is also necessary 😅👍🔥🔥🔥
