And I'm not trying to be mean but we didn't click on the video to hear about all the different things that you like didn't like did or did not do to get to wherever you're at right then at this moment we clicked on the video to actually try to diagnose a problem with our bike but by the time we waited through all the crap we were entirely two befuddled to find a point to your video

Thanks for the feedback. Added a timeline to the video so you can jump right to the fix if you don't want to be bothered with all the things that didn't fix it.

Yes, I try to get out at least once a week for a long ride. It's about an hour to hit the hills on either side of the valley and then I'm up in the trees and peace and quiet. Great way to get some good exercise.

Wow I think I was experiencing this exact issue while trying to fix my brother's old 1999 Trek 820. It would make a metallic pop sound from the crank when you'd be pushing the pedal down at least relatively hard, right about the point in the "stroke" where the pedal is at the 3 o'clock / 9 o'clock position. For the life of me, I couldn't find anything loose on that crank, and that's probably because the looseness probably wasn't in the crank itself, but back at the wheel hub.

Yes, could be a similar issue. Both times I've run into this I would swear the noise was out of the crankset. But both times it was in the rear hub, once with the wheel bearings and the 2nd time with the freehub bearings. I think the sound must propagate up the chain, when it's stretched tight and then cause the chain rings on the crank to vibrate.
