My condolences Chris, grandmother's are special. Nice shave, good to see you trying different razors for the head shaves, they are not all the same. For your female viewer wondering about woman's razors, men's razors will do legs too.
Thank you Scott. I can't believe it but she still hanging on. To top it all off they transferred her to the convalescent home, my uncle is going through the same kind of stuff you did with your mother with insurance company.
My sincere condolences to you and your family. To have been 101 years old, thats amazing! May the Good Lord bless her soul! As for the Mach 3, I actually still have an original one when they first came out in 1998 in the original package never opened! I am going to hang onto that one! The new ones are now made of the composite plastic instead of metal. Cost savings i am sure. Its still a decent cartridge razor and the refills are less costly. Thanks for the video! JimG
I use Schick Xtreme 3-Blade Sport for head shaving. It feels wrong being DE snob but it's so efficient with curved blades that shave entire width of the razor vs 3/8 wide strips with DE.
I saw this vid. a couple times already, but I forgot what you said about the razor. I just tried one head shave with the Mach 3 Gillette disposable razor. Almost excellent shave with no irritation, except that some hair in the back of my head were not shaved down closely enough; so I reshaved those areas AFTER I thought I was done and my head was already dried. I used a different brand razor for the post-shave partial dry pass. Still seems a nice razor.
You should take some some B Roll footage of the products you're using, put more emphasis on them. I really wanted to see more about em. You could just take separate videos of them and then edit those into your videos. You also may want to get a soft box for better lighting! Thanks for the vids
As I remember from tonight's first headshave with it, yes seemed mild, but maybe inefficient on some spots, needed to go over them even after I " finished" the shave.
Not sure why I am watching this one or why almost the whole video, but seeing you find this razor very effective you might also do well with Gillette Fusion Five (or have you already? I cannot remember from your other videos). Further than that, I am running low on my disposables and wonder about what razor (disposable or cartridge type) I may try next. Maybe I'll try Gillette Mach 3?
I will be focusing more on double Edge and single Edge headshaves in the future, now that my technique is better them. I was thinking about giving the fusion 5 a try with the headshave, I'll pick it up next time it's on sale. If you're unsure about the mach3 you can get the plastic handle version like I got and it's not as expensive as the $10 metal handle one that comes with two carts. That way if you don't like it you're not out as much money. As for for disposables I only have experience with the one and two bladed ones. The one bladed Studio selection from Dollar General which I did not get a good shave with. The Gillette black which I like, and the barbasol two-bladed Disposable which I get a good head shave with as well.
Sorry to hear about your loss, my sincere condolences. On the Aussie 'bay I see the Gillette Vector (equivalent to Atra, lube strip) and the 7oclock PII (equivalent Trac II, no lube strip), I thought they were both made by Gillette in their India factory. Take care Chris!👍🤠
Nice video ❤ In a couple of weeks I'm going to shave my head completely smooth bald for the first time ever in my life 😊 so i have thought to go for Gillette Mach 3 cartridge razor with my head. I hope it will gives me a great experience of BBS head shave ❤ If you don't mind can i know how you look so comfortable and confident with your clean shaven bald look ? Because i love to look like that 😊 please let me know how to look awesome in a smooth shaved bald look ❤
Thanks, I hope the Mach 3 works for you. To be honest, I was really bothered by when I started losing my hair, I tried comb overs and hairstyles, and it just looked like crap. Then I tried keeping it short with the Clippers, and you could still see my balding spots now that I've been shaving my head for quite a while I'm used to it. I've accepted it, going bald is just something some of us have to deal with in life. My 2 * great-grandfather was bald, my great-grandfather was bald, my grandfather was bald, skipped my dad but all my uncles are bald, so I'm not the first one to have to deal with, that's how I look at it. There are some upsides to it it does make you look younger than you are, I'm in my late thirties, and I get ID carded all the time. When they say wow, you look younger than you are.
@@CDinVT Thank you so much for your kind reply ❤️ i agree, you look younger than your age with the clean shaven head. It looks good on you 💯👍🏻 that's why I love wet shaving. I just turned 32 this month and i have good amount of hair on my head. I shave my face 2-3 times a week and I got so curious to shave my head completely smooth bald just for the change of look and to enjoy some good head shaves 🙂 So i considered to go with the Gillette Mach 3 cartridge razor 🪒 how long it takes to get used to shaved bald look ? Between my family also have a bald gene history. So eventually i may lose my hair, i never know 😃 but i like clean shaven bald look, it looks classic and very stylish on men.
@moviebites9570 it takes some getting used to not having hair on your head. especially if you live in a colder or hotter climate . During the winter, I carry a spare knit cap in my car, and during the summer, I make sure I always have extra sunscreen in my car or on me. I found that one out the hard way last summer.
@@CDinVTThank you so much my friend 🙂 i shaved my head completely bald just a few days ago and yesterday i clean shaved my head for the second time and it felt so smooth, easy and quite fun 🪒🙂 i will definitely going to continue to shave my head and stay smooth bald for atleast couple of months to enjoy this big change. 😊 I'm still getting use to it and sometimes i feel so naked without any hair on my head now 😁 but my morning routine is so much easier now without spending any time on my hair 😁
You started talking about your technique and the use of not double edge razors for head shaving. Maybe you are ready. Give yourself a chance! You might find you have good enough technique now. MILD RAZOR, SHARP FRESH BLADE; Maybe one pass, or maybe just part of a pass?
I use De now when I shave my head, My favorite for head shaves is the Wilkinson Sword classic razor. I'll be giving the Henson al13+++ a try in the future.
@@CDinVT I MUST remember what your favorite is. I find a certain couple of disposable and cartridge razors are good/best for my head-shaving but I resort to other tools when more than about 6 days of growth.

Xtreme-3 with the flexing blade system cuts TOO close, and is too irritating because of this.

Good shave Chris! I’m about to buy the Penny Shaver. For the money it’s hard to beat. I just hope it shaves well.
Thanks, I'm going to pick that up next for a cart razor.

I will do that.Thank you for the suggestions!
I use the Mach 3 but I want to try the Gillette Labs Exfoliating Bar razor. Looks gimmicky but I see good reviews.
I have seen really good reviews for it as well, I might have to give it a try as well in the future.
I Use The Mach3, I Have Sensitive Skin 🎉❤

My sympathies regarding your grandmother. I'm not the least bit surprised you had to go all over, looking for appropriate funeral wear.
Fine shave you got!
Thank you, yeah I was kind of surprised, all the businesses shut down was kind of surprising.
Sorry For Your Loss
Thank You
Badger brush ?
Yes ,vintage, possibly German
What is the brush name?? Thanks man
It's a vintage badger brush that I got from the antique store I think it's German
