Porsche Carrera 3.2: Low Voltage- Early Troubleshooting

I woke up this morning and started troubleshooting. I wasn't getting an alternator warning light so there's probably a problem with the exciter circuit.
I have the alternator out already, but thought I'd break it down into digestible chunks.
