Offices would technically be required. Most raw processing facilities have offices that deal with the financial side of business. Also offices are needed for the trade & transportation of commercial goods regardless of industry specialization.
You had vehicles come on a ship, so if you put a taxi stand at the shipping port, it will allow them to get the vehicles and it will also fill the empty jobs at the port. That is a long way for them to walk to work. Aldo put the taxi stands at your oil field buildings.
add a pathway.. for people to walk in easily from the transport ship road crosssing to the housing CUL-DE-SAC.. and make it into a small walking park.. that has a small fee to go through to the housing area. at the end.. place a taxi stand.
Some remarks: you can paint specialised industry with the brush toll and make it small oil industry the oil extraction sites you have won't fill up so soon the positions left are those for highly educated, who are generally going to commercial and office buildings
I think oil just needs to have a plurality of your economy. But most oil rich countries are attempting to diversify. Mostly through financial or other services, so yes to offices! But also yes to other industries
Even a oil industry needs other industries to produce products it uses in the extraction of oil, the refining and the manufacturing of the petroleum products
As cargo is coming in I feel office and industry should be allowed as your main industry is still oil, that's what started this island town, it's the backbone,
I’m sure that any industry placed in an oil district is automatically made an oil based building? You should be okay to place industrial zoning as all the building that will pop up will be oil based
I'd love to see the harbour looking a bit more like a harbour. Maybe some more right angles. For me it looks a bit weird that a massive boat dock has been placed in a bay.. just a suggestion. Looking forward to the rest of the series. 👍
12:50 iam portuguese in my home town beja it would rain in april and august alot more then you expect in area where the weather is 30 to 45 with low humidity around 40% tops
I feel like if you actually increased the desire to live there(like actually provide internet to all houses) people would move in exponentially. I just started watching but I’m kinda interested to see where this goes, def a slow burn
I think having a little bit of regular industries is totally realistic since no real place relies 100% of its production on a single thing Doesn't have to be a lot, would be weird... but just a bit seems ok
Hi Seniac! I love Oil town so keep it up! Maybe add more ships to your line so they can get more people! Also can you add more roundabouts and Trees near the oil fields to help the "Eco-Friendliness" 😂
They should add small town versions of buildings like a small cargo harbor and such to the base game, this pattern thing of only giant buildings is not immersive. And fix the isolated island vehicles import so doesn't require a highway connection wich is also not immersive having to reclaim land and terraform just to do this.
summer-rain is the best. There are some oil industries buildings in special buildings.. Constructing pathways will enhance efficiency by allowing workers to move more quickly, enabling them to focus on working rather than spending time walking or waiting for taxis. You can regulat taxis fees if you click in the RCI below.
I feel like you should build offices 💯, oil companies need to have head offices somewhere ! As for industry , there are plenty of oil based industry within the industry sector, you should IMO build 1 at a time u tile yo7 get a business that is a part of the oil industry
I've there's no vehicles you should change the road upto the cruise ship terminal to pedestrian paths and the line it with mixed commerical/residential buildings.
Hey Seniac. I noticed when you where scanning thru the economy tab you are paying 74k for tile upkeep. I would suggest using the 529 tiles mod and adjust the upkeep fee. The resources in the tile make up how much the tiles are

How do I move around with the mouse I am finding it very difficult getting into this game because it seems that we can only move around with the keyboard (i.e. WSAD). Is it possible to configure the game so that I can use my mouse to Pan using my mouse? If not then why not? I really want to play but I find it too clunky to use.
This is what I was going to say. If he added a connection to all four sides, should bring in more people. Because that one he is currently connected to might be a small village feeding OilTown. And another connection could have 10,000 people in their town.
Increase residential demands by cutting down (residential) taxes a bit, and put just a bunch of parks around to get the people more satisfied, you will get more demand. "Public Transport" while the residential area is just around the corner with the oil industry - just let people walk. Public Transport is wasting valuable money. 🙂 - Why not make a shortcut pathway between the harbor and the residential area? And those taxi's are not even going to your oil Industry. And offices, no way, you would be exporting software and pirates versions of CS1, including traffic. This is Oil only. No regular industries, nor offices. The oil has to be the only source of income. Adding ships does not help, 1 ship can carry up to 2,800 people and most of the time only a few dozen people arrive. Having more ships does not help, yeah it helps getting bankrupt more quickly 😅 Sparking more houses by faking offices and industries does give you houses, but those houses will be abandoned because the people in them would not have any jobs (or are not educated enough).
Offices would technically be required. Most raw processing facilities have offices that deal with the financial side of business. Also offices are needed for the trade & transportation of commercial goods regardless of industry specialization.
If you build industries around specific ore mining or oil drilling the factories turn into oil industries,i think you should be allowed that
I suggest put some taxi cabs in front of the cargo harbor and the oil industry, should help the employees to reach their jobs easier
You can increase the tax rate on crude oil to the max of 30% and the specialized industry will continue to pump at full blast- no penalty.
Of course you are allowed to build offices, the oil company needs a headquarters
I don't see you having any traffic issues anytime soon in this series.😂

You need offices for the administrative side or the oil industry
As cargo is coming in I feel office and industry should be allowed as your main industry is still oil, that's what started this island town, it's the backbone,
Gas stations will require an oil refinery and commercial buildings, I think Offices create technology items but requires exporting
I’m sure that any industry placed in an oil district is automatically made an oil based building? You should be okay to place industrial zoning as all the building that will pop up will be oil based
Offices permitted.
Not permited
You should increase the amount of ships in your passenger and cargo ship lines so more people could hopefully come quicker.
I tried this after watching your first video, nearly one total day of simulation later the city got up to 3k population... good luck with that

i think the tile fee is also quite high, and you could use a mod to reduce the upkeep of them what might help you

Hello Seniac, good to see you playing City Skyline 2 again..
A limited amount of offices would be appropriate for an oil based economy
i think it would be fine to do offices, it is one of the needs after all
I've there's no vehicles you should change the road upto the cruise ship terminal to pedestrian paths and the line it with mixed commerical/residential buildings.

You had cars at the docks, but just didn't get them moved to the showrooms for sale.
Put a taxi stand by the oil patch.
Seniac...just an idea...you should name your city Fooiltown!
I like Cs 2 but i dont hab good pc to run it sad:(

@@tobbakken2911 ah ok fairs
you might find you'll get more citizens faster if you also add an airport so they can fly in
@SeniacTwo would building a airport help with people moving in?
Offices would make sense for the oil industry and you need to increase taxes on the oil industry to max.

I feel like you should be able to use Offices
maybe build a marina for private boats ?
Offices should be allowed to
Yes, do you not think industries need offices for organization?
when you eventually turn Larson Park in a huge park area, will it be named Larson Park Park?
the people yearn for healthcare
First comment lol, I was literally watching the uk playlist when I got the notification! 🎉🎉
😂❤
It’s proven that you need industry and offices.
Yes, you should all regular industries as well.
Increase ship number for more population
Hope he can deal with economy 2.0 💀
Why didn't you put a footpath between the docks and houses, if after saying that you should.
why are you not building an more oil assets
You can charge taxis
Is there a way to disable the twitter feed in the bottom right corner? It gets fairly distracting from the content and we don't really use it.
dont busses make more money than taxies
Why don't you connect to another city. You did the seaway to two but only created one route.

No I don't feel like it counts
Please turn off the annoying sounds when a new tweet appears!
