isnt this the same guy that cries to get rid of VAR every week now that he benefits heavily from it everything is ok?
You do realise if VAR didn't exist the goal would have still stood?
How did newcastle benefit from var exactly?
Without VAR it would have been a goal? Newcastle haven't benefitted from VAR i'd love you to explain how we have?
Was a clear goal all day. Feed me with your tears Arteta, fucking cry baby 🥰

People are forgetting, Arteta never said anything negative towards Newcastle, only the officials. It’s embarrassing on them, not Newcastle winning.

Gabriel should’ve been stronger mate, piss poor defending
Imagine calling people idiots and then calling Gabriel... "Saliba".

Other neutral observers have a different take on what happened and talk more about potential robbery again.
Don’t get me wrong, as a City fan im buzzin
but man that ball looked out to me man…. you need the linesman to prove it yknow
and MASSIVE RESPECT for Bruno G getting away with 9 red card offenses 😂😂 classic
You’ve chosen to have a dig here on the aspect of the 3 contentious calls that is the 1 that was definitely right - the ball was in. So to borrow your terminology, massive respect.
We don’t need the linesman to prove it. He saw the ball as in, you know, seeing as the goal was given in real time. Turns out that wasn’t a clear and obvious error, and based on the Bein Sports tech, wasn’t an error at all.
And Bruno gave one to Jorginho, no issue if he sees red. But Havertz should’ve either seen red directly, or at the worst a second yellow early in the second half.
My bigger concern would’ve been that Arsenal would have been stronger without him on.
@@rossbyrnes1597 😂
@@rossbyrnes1597 Kai should have got a red for a trailing leg? Waffling. And no, he shouldn’t have got a second yellow for WINNING the ball in the second half.
Gordon was offside
@@TJ-vv3ex he makes contact with the leading leg, not through the middle of Longstaff but he still did and it was dangerous.
Regardless, I don’t agree at all about the second yellow and have seen those give for a lot less.
I didn’t say he wasn’t offside, I said arguing over the ball being out is pointless, because it wasn’t.
I really don’t understand why there aren’t already cameras on all side and back lines. Those don’t move, it’s such an easy angle to have and there’s billions of dollars in the league
As an 🇧🇷 arsenal fan we didnt deserve to win its that easy no shots on target really one shot right on Pope. In my opinion the havertz Challenge is only a yellow he didnt really hit him at all but its a crazy Challenge. The Bruno G challange is 100% a red u cant hit somone in the face and it wasnt a accident. The joelinton challange is not a freekick its not offside. I dont know about the ball being out or not. But we lost because we lost our heads and stopped playing. My question is wtf is raya and Gabriel doing .
Wtf is Gabriel doing? He’s getting fouled is what he’s doing mate, Joelinton’s not a small lad and he’s got 2 hands on Gabriel’s back/neck, it was 100% a foul, every ex ref or footballer that isn’t on sky’s payroll is in agreement of that
You are as blind as a bat

Shock horror a Newcastle fan sidding with the decision that helps his team, the same way he sided with Tonali over Toney with gambling.
The Tonali story is old news, who do you expect him to side with?. Stop crying because Var could`nt find a reason NOT to give the goal even though it tried its hardest for you.

You're acting like this is a Newcastle fan thing. Bro, every fan from every club does this. Besides, it was a goal, or at the very least, it wasn't clearly not.
I’m a Bayern fan, a premier league neutral, and it’s honestly pretty shameful of you to not admit just how bullshit that goal was. Arsenal didn’t deserve to win that game but there is no doubt they were robbed.
Assuming the ball stayed in, there’s still a clear foul on Gabriel (literally both hands pressed against him, a clear push and therefore a foul by definition), clear handball directly leading to the ball landing at Gordon for a tap in, AND Gordon was offside. I mean it’s just insane that that goal was given after we’ve seen so many goals disallowed for much less.
I mean you didn’t even realise that it’s Gabriel being pushed not Saliba, how embarrassing
Gordon plays really well upfront, he's a great 3rd striking option for us and i think Howe is going to start utilising him more often in that position

No it haasnt that was a fake screenshot of the ball being over the line, the image the VAR saw was 100% out of the line@@Stataze
Whilst I concede that Arsenal didn't do enough to win the game, Newcastle also didn't. On the balance of play a 0-0 would have been a fair result. Neither team carved open the opposition. It was 2 teams that cancelled each other out.
Brian, Arteta didn’t elaborate because he was scared he was going to be proved wrong. He was probably worried he was going to get fined or suspended for saying anything worse. Plus you’re constant repetition of “1 shot on target”, Arsenal had 5 shots more than Newcastle, who also only had 1 more shot on target. You’re acting like Newcastle absolutely demolished them.
And also on your point about Newcastle missing key players, Arsenal were without their main striker, main creative playmaker, and defensive midfielder. If anything, the fact you could only beat a fairly spineless Arsenal team by a single dodgy goal, THAT is embarrassing.
Every time he’s talking about football he turned to TrueBaby
I’m a simple man. I see a TG upload and I watch.
You’re just not speaking the truth Geordie. Even putting the goal aside, your team played like thugs and Bruno is the biggest disgrace of the lot, all perpetrated by a ref they knew was weak and wouldn’t punish them.
Both teams played a rough game. Havertz? Should have been off. Bruno? Should have been off. Newcastle - surrounding the ref after the Havertz tackle. Arsenal - surrounding the ref after the goal. Rice - Time wasting and shoving Bruno. Raya - time-wasting.
If that is the direction Arsenal are travelling in, they can say goodbye to the title race. One shot on target with a team that has Saka, martinelli...
@@YouAimYourArrowsHigh Arsenal were no where near as a dirty as Newcastle. The Havertz one I will concede, but Bruno alone elbowed Jorginho off the ball, slid into him off the ball, kicked the ball at Havertz, grabbed Rice by the throat. Not to mention the targeted kicking of Saka throughout the game by the whole team. Newcastle were an absolute disgrace, it’s just a fact.
@@TBliss88 on the most part, I agree. I was proud of the way we defended after getting walloped 5-0 every season under Bruce when the big boys come to town. But Bruno seems to have a nasty streak that goes too far. Passion is good but it boils over with him.
What I will say is that Havertz definitely poked the bear and you lot were time-wasting from minute #1 (after you heavily criticised us for doing it)
I imagine the players were fueled by the injustice of the Havertz foul (the fact we got 3 yellows including the player who got snapped) was ridiculous. And yet when Arsenal surrounded the ref after the goal no players were yellow carded.
Our behaviour wasn't acceptable, but Arsenal certainly wound them up and dug their own hole there. Havertz threw a grenade in there and you boys struggled with the consequences.
The gaslighting doesn't work. Gabriel was fouled, Joelinton had two hands into his back.
Doesnt matter though, its done.
tbf I don't know how can a ball be considered in... while the white line doesn't even come close to the ball honestly :D

What does his opinion on Tonali have to do with this….
Go cry alongside your coach you bottlejobs
Suddenly, all Newcastle fans agree with Neville 😂
It was a clear push, man's feet were off the ground with both hands on his back 😂
Gabriel. Not Saliba..
He hasn't got a leg to stand on after his comments on the liverpool Spurs game.
Typical small club mentality from Arteta. They lost the game because they had a one shot on target but small clubs like to blame VAR for all the problems. Maybe that’s the reason why Arsenal never won anything major in England and nothing in England for last 20 years.
You're just being a sensationalist.
Objectively, Arsenal lost that game by a single goal which is believed by the majority of neutrals - that it should have been chalked off for a multitude of fair and legitimate reasons. Poor officiating shouldn't be excused by the fact 'x' team had 'x' shots, 'y' team had 'y' possession or 'z' team had 'z' xG. The fairest result in that game was a draw which most likely would have occured had their not been this VAR controversy.
So calling out bad officiating isn't a small club mentality, it's inciting the possibility for positive change and better standards. But idiots like yourself would rather use this chance to take digs at the clubs victim to it and then proceed to cry and raise the same issues when your team is on the recieving end.
Crazy how people over the age of 13 can act in such a narrow-minded and insecure way 🤦
It was a clear foul on Gabriel, they get given all the time, Havertz probably should of been off but at least he was going for the ball, Bruno elbowing Jorginho in the back of the head wouldnt look out of place in the UFC, how VAR didnt send him off i will never know! Did either team do enough to win the game? Absolutely not. People will laugh at Arsenal until it comes around & hits your team, people laughed at Liverpool but its still happening, Arteta is 100% right in what he says, the standards are an absolute disgrace.
Brian is embarrassing.
It’s the two hands on Gabriel’s back (not Saliba) that makes it a foul for me. One arm up is fine but two is where it crosses into being a push/foul.
(Never mind that the ball the comes off of Joelinton’s extended arms)

Deffo didn’t show the right ball out of play picture 😂
Answer me this, if the push wasn't enough to effect gabriel, why he end up getting no where near it?
He thinks the replay is so clear that it's not a foul, but he can't even accurately name the right defender who is being fouled.
Because he chose to play for the foul.
@@nemtizzand if Joelinton didn’t push him with both hands, you might have had a point.
This is a classic backpost header situation. If Gabriel was my defender here I would be mad at him. This is pathetic defending. But Arsenal has now a mindset like peak Mourinho's Chealsea. Everyone robbs them, everyone is against them, everytime they loose point thereis someone else mistake. I understand the frustration. They deserved a draw. But this Arteta rant is laughable
He should just get stronger. He's a big guy but went down like a child. Just be stronger and be better.
Arteta is the biggest whingebag in management which is saying a lot when Jurgen Karen Klopp is around so fair play to him
Two days later and still no one can really agree whether the goal should stand or not. Bein have confirmed the ball was IN. So after that, you’re zooming in and going frame by frame, to ascertain whether or not there was an offside or foul.
The check almost took five minutes and still no one can agree. So - it’s not a clear and obvious error and the decision stands. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

Honestly, I can understand why VAR didn't get involved on the goal. The decision I do think they missed was Bruno's elbow on Jorghino
Dude this is insane, there is an obvious argument that the ball didn’t go out. but to pretend like bruno didn’t jump and push Gabriel straight in the back. is fucking delusion. you guys got away with one, (it happens sometimes) the best look is just to admit, that you got three points free and move on.

What about 2 red ccards to Bruno Gimaraesh for agressive non sport behaviour?! Why you did not say about that?
Have some shame. If it was the other way round what would you be saying???
Heard something a few years ago that I always think about when there is a controversial decision. If you’re blaming a loss on a single referee decision, then the team hasn’t done their job and you don’t deserve a result.
It isn’t just one controversial decision or loss or points dropped is it lad we see the poor officiating every bloody week
@@harlembayesdavis39 exactly right, every team has to deal with it every week. So why does it matter? Ultimately better teams will rise to the top. If a team blames failure on the referees they’re just making excuses, and almost certainly not good enough themselves. Players aren’t expected to be perfect, so I don’t understand why officiating is. Overall I think they do a decent job.
The question should be, did Joelington initiate contact before he headed the ball or vice versa? I think this is crucial question because if the contact came before he headed the ball then it's a foul. If contact came after then it's follow through and not a foul. You're not being impartial here. Did you know the VAR team was in Saudi Arabia, the owners of your club?
You can tell Brian has only seen the replays a handful of times and can’t make a clear factual opinion because he thinks it’s Saliba defending the cross when it was Gabriel. If you can’t tell who the defender is, how can you make a clear judgement on if it was a foul or not???
Everyone remember to put this on your calendar on your phone the kickoff is on tomorrow night I repeat the kickoff is on tomorrow night 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

The reality is even with VAR mistakes will be made.
Let's not forget that that was a fantastic game of football by both teams.
Arteta is fast becoming the pantomime villain on the side lines.

Bruno elbowed a guy in the back of the head after he got rid of the ball. That’s not just a red card, that’s a multi match suspension. You can’t even do that in UFC. He appeared to already know that he won’t get booked and it’s games like that I smell corruption

There is no problem with VAR, it's just the way it's run.
Brian
His problem is with all three areas where the goal should not of stood
1- ball was out when crossed in
2- foul by Joelinton
3- Gordon offside
The only decision in the instance for the goal that's up for debate is whether there should've been a foul or not, which is subjective.
The only angle that matters in order to check whether the ball was in/out is from ABOVE and after the game technology showed that a few milimeters of the ball was above the line. PGMOL need to implement every technology and camera angle available to get these decisions right, but they actually refused to use some of the technology used at the World Cup 2022!
Idk if they even checked from above but it seems that they got it right..
PGMOL have been really inconsistent especially regarding "clear and obvious errors" when it comes to on field decisions. If the alleged foul on the defender was inconclusive and deemed not a clear on field error, it was the right decision to not intervene. But as I said, they have been really inconsistent so far hence why I believe the criticism is warranted.
How is it obviously not offside?
Because if it was obviously offside the goal would have been disallowed.

Eddie Howe would be coming out saying what Arteta did and you'd be backing him. The ball was in because Bein sports says so? How do you know that it's accurate? If it is then why didn't var have that camera angle? Everyone goes for the ball like that do they? With two hands pushing the defender in the back so they miss the ball? As an Arsenal fan, I agree.
I think he's more frustrated by his own decisions (Havertz, Raya, Nketiah, Jorginho).
We need a striker. Period.
Nketiah is Iwobi 2.0.
When fit, our midfield should be Partey, Rice, Odegaard. Rice should be playing the Xhaka role. He'd bag 10+ goals, I'm sure of it.
Instead, Arteta is trying to be too cute with Havertz and Jorginho where the former is disinterested and the latter is physically unable.
Showing his weakness like that (right or wrong) will never ever earn respect... "I don't care"
What a broad
There was no conclusive evidence that the ball was in.
It was 100%, conclusive that Joellington pushed Gabriel.
Arteta just demonstrated with he won’t win the league with Arsenal.
He was like a petulant seven year old. His players will follow his example of looking for excuses for their failures.
It doesnt "look" like he pushed him. He actually did. Besides, how the fuck do you know how hard Joelinton pushed Gabriel? There are only 2 people on the surface of the earth whoe know exacly. But if the 3 vars checks are not enough, how about the Joelinton handball in the build up?.

You are not being TRUTHFUL... there was a push and the ball hit Joelington's hand, AND THE RULE of the OFFSIDE shows your player was OFF.
BECAUSE THIS IS YOUR TEAM and its easy for you to say TRASH
Not excusing VAR. But every team in the Premier League has been on the wrong side of a bad referee/VAR decision. Including Arteta's team benefitting from bad VAR decisions multiple times. Unfortunately, human error is part of the game. Arteta should be worried about his team only having 1 shot on goal!

Nothing justifies Bruno Guim staying on the field on 3 separate red card offences in the span of minutes. Nothing. I don't know what you are justifying on this one bruv.
A) it’s Gabriel, not Saliba. Or do all of them look the same to you?
B) that’s offside, Gordon is beyond David Raya. Simple
C) it’s a handball from Joelinton
🥱
Stop waffling. A draw was a fair result but it happens.
He’s not complaining about not being given a goal.
At the end of the day VAR couldn't decide so it's an on field decision and the linesman didn't flag and the ref accepted it was a goal so it's a goal
Delusions of grandeur from the True Geordie here, the fact you have to reach far and wide to explain each circumstance surrounding that goal should tell you all you need to know. This goal isn't given in Italy, Spain, France, Holland, Portugal. Its only awarded in England because the officiating is horrendously BAD. Not a fan of either team (Liverpool fan) but VAR is becoming predictable now. Predictably bad
Pretty poor from True Geordie. That’s a foul, it’s a foul everywhere on the pitch and Gabriel’s challenge on the ball is changed by illegal contact from Joelinton. Two hands outstretched into the back of the neck/head from Joelinton. Easy foul and a joke of a referee decision and a failure of the technology

That grin at 0:30 was exactly how I looked at full time 😁 Watching it live I felt exactly what's been said here. The Havertz tackle is difficult as the rules are so vague. If you weigh the potential consequences of that lead foot hitting then it's red. The way it happened catching him with the trailing foot, it's yellow for me for the recklessness of it. It'll to be interesting to see how Arsenal respond to this because if their opposition copy Newcastle's defending out wide and silence Martinelli and Saka, that team can wave the title goodbye unless the develop an alternative solution to get into the box.
That's not how football works. You can't be punished for something that could've happened. If I go flying in and miss the player, it's not even a foul. It only becomes a red if havertz connects with his lead leg, which he doesn't...

bruf that ball was out of play, i think is crazy that we have to look in microscopical level to see if the ball is out or not. its crazy that the ref let that play continue, i dont give 2 fucks about what happend in the box to be honest.
I did see some Ex ref saying it was a foul, But the biggest question is why has a TV channel better technology than Premier league? VAR couldn’t show us was the ball onside or off that is strange.
13 minutes that prove that you can bullshit your way through anything in life…
Damn went from humble to this, newcastle fans need a humbling
So now we should have some kind of technology on players body to determine if a push is a real push or just a light push? Joelinton placed both hands on gabriel who went down. If thats not a foul then I dont know what is
Gabriel leaps off the floor lmao, he knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s never a foul.
@archiewall124 you can call it soft, but Joelinton used his both hands, you can clearly see them on Gabriels back. I've seen referees giving a foul 1000 times before for something like that, and all of the sudden it's not a foul? Sorry man I don't buy it
Then you don’t know what is mate …….. 👍
@@iananderson2677 sure man, me and Mark Clattemburg who also says this goal should never stand because of Joelinton foul, we both don't know what foul is 😏
@@prezz9441 there are as many ex refs, ex players and pundits who say it wasn’t a foul as say it was a foul so that would sort of suggest there was no conclusive evidence that it was a foul, hence the goal was given, we got 3 points and you got to cry a river 👍. Doesn’t matter what you and Mark Clattemburg say really, means nothing.
C'mon now. VAR sucks and is making a mockery of the game. The agency has been given to the refs to decide the games. With all this tech, does anyone really believe they are still "getting it wrong?" I don't even care about the goal, but Bruno should have been red carded and possibly that goal would have never happened. But still, we have the tech to see if the ball crosses the goal line, but all be get is a blurry still frame to determine if the ball was in or out? Seriously?
didnt show a legit angle of the ball going out the ball is clearly out
Imagine the vid of the roles were reversed 😂
Arteta is a wool! Cryarsing because he wants a decision that was at best 50-50 to go his way. That’s not a problem with VAR, that’s a problem with arteta! He’s arrogant and petulant. Showed it time and time again! Should be punished for this interview. FA needs to stand its ground and not allowing everyone to complain. I hate VAR, it’s ruined football but yesterday (although it took 10 minutes) it did the right thing. There was nothing clear and obvious therefore, stand down.
Well being the TRUE Geordie - we didn't expect you to come clean and admit Arsenal were robbed - pretty sure it would have been different view if Arsenal had scored a similar goal at the other end.
Could be because you weren’t robbed Stewart 👍😂
How many times do you want to confuse Gabriel with Saliba? At least get the players right mate
Well known fact you need both hands infront of you to header a ball
