In other words the US is using one terror group (PKK/PYD) to fight another terror group (ISIS). Furthermore, the Turks think US wants to make create a puppet Kurdish State (Rojava) on Turkey’s souther boarder in order to serve US interests.

That said, Turkey has the right and responsibility to protect its cohesiveness and territorial integrity. I’m a US citizen and can tell you that minorities here face similar issues to the ones you have highlighted. For starters, I’d much rather be a Kurdish-Turk in Turkey than an African-American or a Muslim-American here in the US, have you heard of George Floyd or Colin Kaepernick? BTW, the situation for the Kurds is much worse than that of the Palestinians. You just need to be fair to see this. Kurds have been killed, tortured, forcefully moved thousands of times. There are over 40 million Kurds in the region, yet no one is willing to recognize them as a separate nation. In contrast, there are 26 Arab countries. Is there room for even one small Kurdish country, perhaps in Northern Iraq? No, because Turkey refuses to give even the smallest recognition. They call every Kurdish move as terrorism. However, this struggle is always labeled as terrorism, and Turkey acts against Kurdish movements even in Iraq and Syria. Its interesting that the Kurdish movement in Syria is called “Syrian defence forces” showing the integrity of Syria. But it’s not enough for Turkey. Chip, Chip, Chip. Have you seen the videos of the HTS fighters talking about going to Jerusalem and then Mecca? The intelligence community needs to get out more. This reminds me of the situation with the Soviet Union right after the revolution. They went into Poland and wanted to take over all of Europe. Lenin actually thought that the workers in the waring countries would lay down their arms and revolt during the war. That didn't happen. The Polish campaign was a first step in the internationalist revolutionary movement. Again, Lenin thought that class would win out over nationalism. When he was stopped in Poland the Soviet leadership started talking about "socialism in one country", which was antithetical to Marxist theory. Of course, they just decided to take the struggle underground and created the Comintern to foment revolution from the inside. HTS has not really changed. Their leadership is saying things to allay fears in the west. Don't believe a word of it.
Who made that statement? Do you know his name and what official capacity he has? Now have you seen the Israeli finance minister say the borders of Israel should reach Damascus?? Does that concern you? The US does not give billions to HTS unlike it does to Israel! @@shafsteryellow You need to work on your reading comprehension. I said HTS fighters shouting in the street. What is the problem with giving money to Israel. They are an ally. Syria has attacked Israel, again a US ally, more than once. Why would the US give anything to the Syrians? HTS and its leaders are enemies of the US and have killed US servicemen, as well as lots of Iraqis and Syrians (and I'm not talking government forces). Do you have any idea of the history of Syria? It was part of the Ottoman Empire from the early 16th century. The current borders were drawn by two European imperialists after WWI. The Alawites were put in charge by the British following their usual pattern of putting a minority in charge. This is what allowed them, a fairly small country, to control the largest empire in history by land area and population. It is also the source of many conflicts, especially across Africa and the Middle East. So, no, I am not at all worried about the Israelis bombing weapons, including chemical weapons, that the Syrians developed or that were left behind by the Russians. That is perfectly justified.
syria was 10% Kurd. the YPG is mostly foreign Kurds- not Syrian. SDF has 60% Kurd and 40% Arab in its ruling ranks but controls an area that's 80% Arab. I thought we were alied with the kurdish forces. How can we continually turn our back on them. It's not ok
Finally, you guys had an intelligent, knowledgeable person. Great analysis
YET PUTING UP HAMAS FLAGS NOT GOOD IN MY OPINION
The timing of this is very good for the Kurds, as let us not forget how Trump betrayed them in 2019. Let's all hope for a predominantly secular, pluralist, open and prosperous Syria.
@@andrewjordan4193 Here we go again blame Trump for everything? But get used to it he is in charge for at least another four years..😍😍👍👍
Turkey don't hate Kurds, please be more careful with your statements.
They do, just read the average turk comment
The Turkish government and the average Turk both hate Kurds that don't pretend to be "mountain Turks."
Not all Turks hate all Kurds; just most.
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Have you ever been in Turkey? Did you know that a former elected president of Turkiye, Turgut Özal, is kurdish? Also Kemal Kılıcdaroğlu who has been leader of the opposition party CHP is kurdish?
Turkey does hate the Kurds. the smallest show of Kurdish identity is severly crushed in Turkey, they have no right to study in their mother tongue, and their politicians are imprisoned. Hope they stop being facist and racist.
@@KSayar the name of this so called president does not seem Kurdish. He was not born in a Kurdish city, and at best Google says he was maybe half Kurdish. but that being said, the Kurds could be the best people to the other nations of the middle east as long as they totoally declined their Kurdish identity and become Turkish, Arab or Persian. Be a bit fair. Kurds have been subjugated and suppressed severly in that region. Are the Kurds being taught in mother tongue in Turkish Schools?
The Kurds need to have their own autonomous homeland
I'm well into my 70's and all my life the news has been full of war...😢
It's not your year. The whole world is like this and will be for a 100 years more. Chill.
Wars and rumors of wars. The bible never lies
The good eastern and western powers should support the Kurds who are pro democracy and are fighting for the most basic human rights. Support the Kurds.
This guy still believes in Santa.
Really really hope that Kurds wont be throwed under the bus AGAIN..would be devastating
unfortunately, we have bad news TURKEY with the help of HTS and SNA are attacking us heavily, we need support , but US is hesitant
Wouldn't it be great if all the most powerful nations got together and looked for compassion in this landscape?
Horrible audio! Kindly ask your guests to keep at least some minimum standards.
This is an excellent assessment even though it's a repeat from yesterday. Please ask Major General Chapman to report from an echo free location. The General of course was referring to IDF not Iranian, freedom to operate against Iranian military assets.
That was really useful, thanks.
Turkey has been trying to G-n-o-cyde the Kurds for decades (prob longer). They (the Kurds) need a state of their own.
If there is no kurdistan on the the world map, ask that to british spy Lawrence of arabia
FREE KURDISTAN
To say theTurks hate Kurds is akin to saying the Americans hate Arabs. It would be far more accurate to say Turks hate the PKK (a Kurdish Marxist/Leninist separatist terror organization) the way Americans hate ISIS. BTW, US considers PKK to be a terrorist organization too, but have rebranded the Syrian branch of the PKK as the Democratic Union Party (PYD), I should also note that the YPG is the armed wing of the PYD. In other words the US is using one terror group (PKK/PYD) to fight another terror group (ISIS). Furthermore, the Turks think US wants to make create a puppet Kurdish State (Rojava) on Turkey’s souther boarder in order to serve US interests.
Do you allow the Kurds to study in their mother tongue in Turkey? Can they go to Turkish parlimant wearing thier Kurdish dress (as they do in Iran)? What would happen to someone who openly would say he is a proud Kurdish? what happened to Leila Zana for speaking Kurdish for a few seconds in parlimant? what happend to Ahmet Kaya when he said he wanted to sing a song in Kurdish? attempts were not made to assasinate him aftwewards? didnt he suddenly become the most hated person? etc etc etc etc etc etc
@@DanKu-f4d My comments were about the PKK/YPG which have caused the deaths of over 40,000 people in Turkey, not the restrictions Kurdish citizens of Turkey face, which is a legitimate issue. My view is that Turkey needs to relax its restrictions on Kurdish-Turks and allow them to better express their cultural heritage without limitations. Do you have any idea what would happen to African Americans if they started an armed secessionist rebellion? Look up what we did to the Native Americans. Do you know what happened to Rashida Tlaid when she spoke in the US congress about the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza? She wasn’t even speaking in Arabic. How many innocent Muslims died (directly or indirectly) as a result of US military response to 9/11? And now we're supporting Israel unconditionally while they commit genocide. etc etc etc etc
@@vbilgutay1 Every sign of Kurdish identity is PKK yo you. The Kurdish population in Turkey is about 15 million, primarily located in the eastern part of the country. They are an indigenous people with their own distinct culture and language. Comparing their situation to that of African-Americans is not sensical. Do you know that half of the Kurds in Syria did not have ID card before Assad regime fall? Did you know that Assad left them alone when ISIS attacked them because to him and his national army, the Kurds were Kinzir (pigs). Did you know Sadam Hossein in Iraq destroyed 4000 Kurdish villages? Chemically bombarded the Kurds several times? Do you in Turkey, the Kurds were not even allowed to Speak Kurdish at home in 1980s? Do you know that in the Kurdish cities of Turkey, everywhere is this quote “be proud of you Turkish identity”. Do you what happened to Ahmed Kaya when he said he wanted to sing one Kurdish song? Do you what happened to Leila Zana when she spoke Kurdish for a few seconds in Turkish parliament? Do you know the Kurds are not taught their mother tongue in Turkey (don’t compare them to Turks or Kurds in Germany, please. Kurds are the indigenous people in Eastern part of Turkey)? Do you the Kurds cannot dress Kurdish in Turkey (as they do in Iran)? Do you know Kurds have difficulty celebrating their Cultural events in Turkey (Newrooz, for example). NO. Why???? Because all of this are seen as terrorism in Turkey. Every sign of Kurdish identity is terrorism. You are in USA but still can not see the case fairly.
If a small Kurdish country were established, it would bring happiness to all the Kurds in other countries, as it would help preserve their language and culture. However, this struggle is always labeled as terrorism, and Turkey acts against Kurdish movements even in Iraq and Syria. Its interesting that the Kurdish movement in Syria is called “Syrian defence forces” showing the integrity of Syria. But it’s not enough for Turkey. Kurds should be crashed and tortured and their identity and language erased. This is what makes turkey happy. It is important to view the Kurdish struggle from a non-Turkish nationalist perspective.
Wasnt this power vacuum always going to create this outcome???
Power vacuum? There has been 4 major factions in Syria for years...
And not one of them ever worked 😂😂

Here we go
Kurds are free in Türkiye. America and Israel use Kurds as bait.
Turkish nationalist propaganda...you clearly don't know Kurds or have been to Kurdistan...
@@MichaelBrown-be7vn Turkey does not hate Kurds, stop the propaganda. 25 million Kurds live in peace in Turkey and we support Iraqi Kurdistan. The situation is different in Syria, the militants there support the PKK terrorist organization. Their uniforms and flags have the PKK founding leader's photos. And just 1 month ago, the terrorists trained there carried out a suicide attack in Ankara.
Do you let them to study in their mother tongue? can they have thier Kurdish outfits? what do you mean by 'free'? they can freely walk and go around without being shot?
@@DanKu-f4d What are you talking about? Of course they can speak their own language and get education. There are hundreds of Kurdish language schools in the country, and there are about 20 Kurdish radio and TV channels in Turkiye, one of which is the state channel broadcasting in Kurdish. Also, more than 200 of the 550 deputies are Kurdish. There are 25 million Kurds in Turkiye, if they were not happy and what you say was true, they would revolt.
@@_Redronin_ Classic Turkish propaganda , its like Israel is saying 20% of their population is Arab!

Even intelligent people can get pronunciations wrong from time to time or he could have just been tired? Are we to assume you’ve never fumbled your words in your life?

Syria must become a free, business centric country. Secularist and tolerant of all peoples, focused on becoming the final easement for NG and crude oil pipelines from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and any other nation capable and wanting to of feed those pipelines to the industrial centers across the EU. This would drive economic and social development hugely and bypasses the Russian want to strangle any country without say.
This is the peace ticket for a steady and self sustaining a wealthy, influential and proud Syria first and foremost for the Syrian people themselves.
Never thought would happen 😮
British, American and German military haven’t protected HTS but have done so for Israel…
Israel is currently bombing Syria and proudly declaring its annexation of Syrian lands.
Are you equally worried about that? ?
That is perfectly justified.
...and now you know... the REST of the story... g'day!
What kind of showdown is it? They can't stand more than 24 hours to opponents?

We need to talk about our governments dumb foreign policies.
When and where did SNA and SDF fought recently? Is this another clickbait thumbnail?
syria was 10% Kurd. the YPG is mostly foreign Kurds- not Syrian. SDF has 60% Kurd and 40% Arab in its ruling ranks but controls an area that's 80% Arab. If there is a Kurdish state, than so sould the many Sunni tribes, the Christians, Alewites and the Turkmen. Maybe that's the way to go in Syria but it's not doable when HTS already has got 80% of the population under it's rule in 2 weeks.
What a logic, 25 % of Turkey are Kurds ,whats your point?
@kyaxar3609 more like 20%.. half of them are pkk sympathizers and they are represented in the parliament. We don't want Syria to become another Turkey.
That was inevitable
