The arrival of numerous constructors for next year is really promising.
    BUT
WEC really needs to up their game for next year concerning media and exposure. They are light-years behind what F1 is capable of delivering with their highlights...
Would be a shame if the next season would be wasted by such bad media management

Right now WEC are working with media partners, OEM’s, teams & sponsors to improve their package for forthcoming seasons. They’re well aware things need to improve. They’re hoping to live stream Free Practice 3 from now on. But there are much bigger plans in the works.

So sad this beautiful sport gets so little exposure, I try to make my friends watch it like I did with f1 but social media is like 10 years behind in wec. You can't get someone exited and thirsty for next race with highlights and covering like this.

Agreed. I guess thats just how the french and europeans like their marketing; discrete. One american swoop and WEC would be just as big as NASCAR could be. And it's impossible to get into WEC as a North American because it's not even broadcasted on any major networks, Le Mans is broadcasted by Motortrend but lets be honest, no ones paying $6 a month for that garbage

I watched the full race so I have to point something out. Those highlights, all of them, are taken directly from the live race. They just throw a bunch of footage to the commentator and he has to speak about it live. How awful for him, and for us. Highlights shoud be cut, edited, and commentated properly after the live stream ended.

However it became difficult to follow the other races in the year because of the little exposure. My point is that this sport is so entertaining and im absolutely loving everything about it. It is steeped in history and has the most exciting future of any other motor sport around. If WEC puts in the effort on there social media accounts this sport could have as many fans as F1.

    1. Invest in sensors to monitor track limits, if you so wish…
    2. Put grass or gravel at corner apices, do it old school, certainly never seen a driver getting launched by those, and if they do attempt to cut the corner, it slows them down…

Honestly pretty good imo, i mean yeah they did not get into the podium but still are pretty quick or at least competitive, in the practice they where leading or very close to leading i think. And they still have room to improve...especially in the reliability issues that is mainly what hampered them but then again it is the first race ever for the car...it is good that all these issues are showing up now so they can work on them

I don't understand why you are calling this Full Race Highlights. It seems extremely rushed und you are trying to pack 6 hours in under 3 minutes of actual race action in the video.
Please just make the videos a little bit longer, so that we can enjoy the highlights if we havent watched the race.
    Thank you!

  • @AbrassiveMandrake
    @AbrassiveMandrake 2 года назад

Out of the 5 minutes of highlights, less than 3 minutes are actually focussing on the actual racing, the rest is the before and after, podium ceremony etc.
For me it was really hard to follow what actually happened in the race, the retirement of the Glickenhaus only mentioned verbally, no specific mentioning on how the Peugeots fared on their debut etc. Also in the LMP2 and GTE classes I still don't properly know who came what place. So as written by other before I'd love to see some improvements to the highlights to make them more informative to those that missed the race.
    Thank you :)

WEC should segment the highlights for different categories, ie. LMH/LMDH highlights and GT highlights should be on seperate videos. This video is very disjointed and because there's a lot of cars and drivers to include, commentators didn't even bother to mention them during wheel-to-wheel or accidents

Unbelievable race why toyota & Alpine contact? The really doesn't have to at high-speed it's for shame an unfair way to win for alpine, it's an unforgettable season between Alpine & Toyota, an not great comeback for Peugeot in Motorsport, nightmare for one of the ferraris unlucky end of the race, how does the porsche crash like that? It's one of the scariest crashes it's compare to Zhou f1 crash it's a real mystery why the car goes airborne something really destroy the car and left it in 1000. Pieces all over the track thank god the driver is okay without injuries seriously strange? Hope he can recover from that accident and the team learn it through the crash to work harder to push the car to the title
Hope that Toyota succed to dominate this series 🤩🤩🤩🤩
