I see that’s a 96. Is it still VTC-less? And what stand-alone did you go with? I wish you’d make a follow up with the nuances of the 96 and recommendations for those wanting to retain OBD2 or reasons to ditch it.
VTC functionality was added. Running on a Haltech Elite 2500. Email me about keeping the 96 harness but adding the ability to swap between ECUs. We add a secondary ECU connector. No way to do it integrated (flex fuel) with the 96 ECU. JWT can add VTC function to the 96 ECU however.
Someone is going to be a happy camper.
A great first part! I recognize this car! 😂

Ditch it! I own a 96 slicktop and went early style turbo motor (90) and run factory 90 ecu and a new wiring specialty harness no issues.

@@specialtyzcan flex fuel be added to the Nistune OBD2 ecu (type 4 dual rom)? If so do you have any of those available?
@@JDM_PLUS Unfortunately not.
Which wheels are those?
Those are SSR DR5 (going off memory). They were a Tire Rack special back from the early 2000s. They were selling them at an amazing price back then.
