@FrancoisCoetzee-lf7fi Agreed!! I love Medieval Dynasty but man do I wish the modding community would get ahold of that one. Some seemingly simple additions could really make that game shine.
The devs behind this game have now twice delivered a game via the Early Access route only to abandon it before even getting close to stable release. This game already is back porting their IP from Last Oasis into the game (even folks have found the walker assets in Bellwrights actual source files). They will not finish what they start and the AI and all the quirks identified will continue to be ignored in terms of quality assurance.
Yep, lots of red flags with this one. It is also published by Snail Games, the infamous publisher of ARK and ARK2... so yeah, going to wait until this one is out of EA and the DLC roadmap is published I think.
I got the gut feeling since I saw the fighting style plays a lot like in Last Oasis as well the inventory and health stat. Turns out it is Donkey Crew who's created that new game, when Last Oasis came out it turned out fantastic and playable to enjoy but when I noticed the recent review hit very negative I went back on and oh boy it changed a lot and made it very difficult for solo players (which is almost impassive to play as solo) what even worse can't build the walker out in the open ground, it have to be built INSIDE the building?!? imagen you need to build a massive building and tall gate for huge walker.... so yea better watch out in future development if Donkey Crew decided to ditch Bellwright as they done on Last Oasis
I'd recommend everyone (and @ESO) interested in this game do some research on the devs, Donkey Crew. They abandoned their previous game, Last Oasis, to make this one. LO is still in early access and the devs ran the game into the ground in a way that can only be described as intentional and tragic. It's sitting at Mostly Negative and Mixed on Steam as I type this, and the community hate them for ruining what could have been a remarkably unique game. Bellwright is another pump and dump with a huge pile of reused assets from Last Oasis and some of them don't even look to be re-textured. Please be wary of investing your hard earned money into a game that will be abandoned by a dishonest company.
For anyone interested in this, be careful and look up Donkey Crew's history on how they treat their games before you fully commit. So you at least make the decision knowingly. For specifics, they do have a habit of forgetting about their games before they are done and move on to the next. And maybe more damning, they do it without saying anything about it.
@@Twin-Nick Yep. That and another one before that I cant remember, neither really had a "good end". The building looks quite a loot like when you built the walkers though, just even more parts.
Appreciate the video ESO! Picked up the demo, gonna give it a try later. If you decide to player more I would like to see it, hopefully you'll upload it!
I'm going to let you all know that the developers of this game had two games before this that they ran in to the ground on purpose to scam their player base. And before anyone says that I don't know what I'm talking about you can look it up for your self's Donkey crew has literally promised a game then changed it in a way that chased the player base then took the assests of one game and used it on the next. If you go into the assets for Bellwright you can actually see walker parts and item bags in it from the last one they abandoned last oasis.
This game was made by the same people that have already abandoned 2 similar games. What's funny is this game uses the same animations and combat as Last Oasis (which is still up and running, but hasn't had an update in nearly a year)
I added this game to my wishlist on Steam, however I don't know about this game after researching it. Both the publisher and development team have an issue of early releasing games (yes, plural gameS) then never releasing a production version or even abandoning their early release games that still have bugs. Of course, after collecting money from those purchasing it in early release. Do your research and make your own decision. I will keep it in my wishlist but will wait to see if they break their trend.

The cinematic introduction wasn’t bad at all. Feels like old game design but in a good way. Gives Xbox original rpg vibes like the original fable game.
I agree. I don't understand why story style intro's are shit on by people. I'll take them any day of the week, it adds to the art style, and it's a great call for a small studio who doesn't have the time to spend weeks just for a cinematic intro that most people will skip anyway.
I have wished Sky Rim had a village world building that you would hire or ask or do missions for people and they would move to your village and work for you and then you use the resources and money to build and hire more people to come to your village and slowly build a castle and slowly become a yearly and then the king of Skyrim.
12:48 i like how we pick up full logs and just jam them in our rear pocket. forest and a few other actually kinda do it right and show you carrying it.
This looks very promising!! But you're absolutely right on the cinematic being in need of a touch-up haha. The writing should be redone for sure, and a different more natural approach to the voice acting would go a long way
Considering who the devs are for this game, I wouldn't expect it to ever actually get finished. Look at how they just dropped their previous game after selling a bunch of early access.
