  • This got me EXCITED for Aprilia's future! (SK XIII)
Innovation is VERY important for manufacturers of all industries. Aprilia is no different. Developing the 660 platform was huge for them as it allowed more beginner/moderate level riders to experience the brand. But what is next? In this video I share my thoughts on the matter and why I am SO excited for what the future of Aprilia holds :)

These have already been sold and will all be used on track as it also fits into a specific racing category. When you think about it, none of the WSB bikes that the ones we can buy don’t share basically anything that the road bikes do, hence why each of them costs over $250k. Nice thought though as there is , world wide a couple of thousand racers that can actually exploit these to their full potential. As an ex Australian Superbike racer I’m one that falls into this class. Nice thoughts and review. 👍😎🇦🇺

Yeah I heard the ones they use for actual races are quite pricey. Can't imagine pushing a bike like this to the max, sounds exciting! Your guys' skills are next level 🙌

@@SK_XIII In any race, in any class, you usually find racers at similar abilities. That being said, it also makes it sooo much safer to push these to the limits as it’s all relative. I’m also lucky enough to have raced against 6 Australians who went onto becoming world champions. Possibly the most famous out of all is Troy Bayliss. He was born to become a multi world champ. At least I can say I’ve beaten him on 3 separate occasions. Before he was internationally recognised. 😊

@@SK_XIII Funnily, my children went born when I was racing. They have watched plenty on RUclips, old TV highlights etc. So, for Christmas they purchased a track day and pit lane garage for me at my old home racetrack being Phillip Island so they can view in real life. I’m actually feeling more pressure than gridding up at Phillip Island, in front of over 110,000 peps track side and international coverage. Should be interesting. 👍😎🇦🇺

You know how bad I wish I could have one of these. I'm like most others though, I just don't think it's 20, 25k more fun than a regular rsv4. The bike looks fantastic though, and really like the aero visual appeal on it, comparatively to the "regular" model.
If it had been street legal, I'd have been more tempted.

Hahaha agreed its def not 20-25k more fun! But sheesshhh....visually..it is a BEAUTY

It's gonna resell for way more than that. If you buy a regular RSV4 you'll loose money, if you buy the X Trenta you'll earn money ;)

@0Epic0 that *might* be true depending on the market, but I buy to ride, not to garage or resell.
      Everybody's different though.

@@chrisdavis7533 All XTrenta owners probably already have a RSV4 in the garage.

@0Epic0 doesn't change the value of the sale though, since what something's worth is dependent upon what someone is willing to pay for it.
Not where I'd park my money, personally, but I'm not in charge of anyone else. Nothing wrong with a garage queen if that's somebody's jam. Gorgeous bike for sure though.

Its not like im gonna be able to afford one but really wished aprilia made a street legal version of this xtrenta, its too beautiful of a bike just to be a track exclusive.

Agreed!! I'm hopeful maybe we'll get some of the design aspects/tech trickle down to other road legal models in the future :)

I have never been either willing or able to spend that much on my motorcycle, and I don't personally know anybody that has done so, so I can only guess.
I guess there are some riders out there that are either hugely fanatical about track days, or wealthy enough that $54,000 is not a big deal, or both.
Heck, what's an F250 pickup truck cost these days?
100 units the world over isn't that many, so they'll be snatched up by these types of guys, probably some just for show/bragging/display, some for occasional use, and a few for regular track use.
I'll just sit back and watch.
    It's easier to afford.

Same here brotha lol! I'd rather appreciate this beauty from afar. Hopefully they bring some of the design aspects to their other bikes in the future
