This was not what I expected at all. So interesting to hear the epic tale of Kevin Smith and the Schumacher cut. Also unexpected, Joe’s breakdown of the meaning of “Martha” and the Excalibur imagery in Batman v Superman. Fascinating stuff. Hope we get to see the Schumacher cut someday… and wouldn’t it be fun to see that Batgirl movie too?
There is the official comic book adapation of Batman Forever (where you can find and read onliine), where there are included some of the deleted scenes (and the order of the comic scenes is like the order from the original script), including the escape of Two Face from the Arkham Asylum, the scene with the Riddler who gives Chase the shot with the syringe and the original ending with Chase with Alfred (with that famous quote) and then Batman e Robin standing on a gargoyle with the city and the batsignal behind them, so I really believe it was made when the cut of the film was still the one wanted by Schumacher and not the one later modified by Warner.
The only way this is getting out to the public outside of the Smith screenings is if whoever has it posts it online, just like what happened to the Super Mario Bros. extended cut. We need it intact with the temp music and all to make a stellar presentation that fan editors are trying to achieve.
Back when people were demanding the Snyder Cut of Justice League around 2018, Joel Schumacher was asked about the darker version he seemed to have planned for Batman Forever and said that his cut of the film is what everybody has been watching since 1995. Pretty sure this was an interview that was written as there was no video or audio occupant the article. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the exact website now as it’s been years and a whole lot has been written about the Schumacher Cut from speculation about the length to people wondering if it could ever happen and so on. So, basically we all have the Schumacher cut and anything that puts things back into the film that can make it darker would essentially be a fan edit or some extended studio cut if Warner Bros. ever wanted to release a longer, darker version of Batman Forever. Also to say the Nolan films aren’t emotional, you need to rewatch them and you need to pay particular attention to the scenes with Christian Bale and Michael Caine. Many of the emotional scenes are with those two.
By the way they describe scenes and the sound seems like that's just cause it never got edited down to final version, meaning it doesn't have the final sounds voices ect, that's why there so different then the scenes were it's like they went too long and should have cut they hadn't edited it down yet and were just rec extra to see what parts they wanted to use.....idk I gotta see it myself..I'm so ready

That discussion defending Tommy Lee Jones performance and also how different it is in this cut, that was so fascinating
That's right. I loved his Two-Face. The way I watched Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face, he's a good Two-Face.
That's a great interview.

If the bat wants to play we’ll play!
The real game begins!

It is certifiably NOT the Schumacher Cut... I don't understand where he's gotten that from.
