I have the GT650 but I think the rounded tank on the Interceptor looks so much better, especially with matte paint. It's just a lot more pleasing on the eye. I actually may switch out the tank to get that one on mine too. They are the same bike, after all.
RE is rumoured to release the 650 Scrambler early next year--the Himmy 450 is scheduled for Nov1 release so there will be a few new RE bikes soon@@misterceptor

Last one i wanna see is the Hunter 450 with the new water cooled engine...it might crush the Triumph 400 sales if they get it out soon enough--good times for new bikes from RE in the next year or so i cannot wait!@@misterceptor
@@Lou-rq6lf thank you 😊 if I’m not mistaken, i think they were just generic ones I found on ebay. Just type “scrambler handle bars” and “motorcycle hand guards” and I’m sure they will pop up. Sorry I dont have the listing available as I bought these a while ago.
If they made this from the factory, they couldn't make enough of them. Get the weight down, stiffen the suspension, a couple rack options, maybe the recluse clutch system, and look out.
Hey Man I just wanna ask if you aren’t having any problems with regards of the heat coming from the exhaust mufflers? I’m planning on getting one But I’m a bit worried because my back rider might not be happy with it. Haha! Thanks!
The exhaust does get warm but not enough to burn your leg. The heat shield definitely works. As for the pillion, I extended the right foot rest outward a bit. Its a bit difficult for a passenger to get on the bike initially, but once on the bike, its not an issue.
@@titokaena sorry my bad. I would say its around 10mm back from the base of the strut which has the seat locking tab. But it really depends on the rear loop that you get. I just placed it on top of the frame and cut it where the width of the loop meets the width of the frame. I can show you some pictures of the cuts I made. Just DM me on instagram.
Pretty machine. Might I suggest you paint the fork brace black for aesthetics and upgrade the forks and shocks for handling (YSS offer a good quality fork upgrade kit and shocks for a reasonable price). Black intake covers would look nice, too.
Thank you. To be honest, I’ve actually thought about getting the YSS fork upgrade kit and the shocks as well. I’ve actually removed the fork brace to powder coat it as well. Thanks for the input. I think I’ll eventually end up doing all of them 😄
@@misterceptorNo worries, mate. I've done those things to my Dr Mayhem Continental GT 650. That and much more. Upgrading the suspension has made a good bike even better. The suspension is now aligned with the chassis, which Harris did a fantastic job with.
Beautiful build 👍 Is this a euro 5 spec bike? If so any issues with changung the exhaust? I am looking at doing the same exhaust but mine is 2022 euro 5 spec
Thank you. This is the Euro 4 spec and I’ve installed the fuel booster plug as well. No issues of yet. I can’t really comment amount the euro 5 specs but I’d guess you’ll need to richen the fuel mixture once you install these. As the booster plugs are not compatible with the euro 5 models, I would say consider investing in a piggyback ECU.
Beautiful bike! Well done! Nice looking exhaust too, how's the heat on your right leg? I recently got to test ride a triumph scrambler 1200 and the heat from the exhaust was kind of annoying.
@@misterceptor thanks looking at turning mine into a scrambler , well im in the uk so more off a back lane,er , just need how wide you can go in the swing arm
@@markoevo with the Shinkos, I’d say that thats the maximum you could go as theres about a centimeter’s clearance left as these tires are taller than the stock ones. i think Dorman Dairies had a 140 Bridgestone Battlax installed. I could be wrong though.
Very nice build. It's like a custom triumph scrambler but at a discount, and I don't mean that in a negative way. Pretty cool
Thanks. The Street Scrambler was the inspiration behind this build

I like the shape of the Interceptor’s tank too. Yes they are basically the same bike so wont be an issue.
Love the sound of the bike my guy. Keep posting!
Thank you. More content on the way 😊
Damn beautiful build
Thank you 😊
I wish stock Int650 had more scrambler characteristics like better suspension, high ground clearance and higher handle bar.
Yea me too. I think there’s a scrambler variant in development so hopefully will see one very soon

i think its mostly show and no go. Fork springs and shocks would be more legit, but it looks great.
Yes I admit that the project was mostly about the looks. I was expecting it to do much worse on the dirt to be honest hehe
VERY nice build. I think I'm going to head this way too.

Dude! I love it! I'm planning to do something similar... but not quite as extensive as you dit. Great job!

The secret for a great scrambler is a narrow front tire cuts well in loose gravel.
👍

Where did you buy that leather seat? It looks so elegant.
I got it from MK designs India. I shaved off the foam to get the shape that I wanted though.
