My reasoning is that Adam was created with the right number of ribs, be it on the left on right. God took one of them to form Eve. Genetically, Adam is normal and able to produce offsprings with the right number of ribs. It's just that he was short of one after God has taken it. Similarly, if a man lost his arms and marry. His offsprings would still be with 2 normal arms although there may be a small percentage of people born without or with some defects.
Good try on answering this, but there’s an even simpler answer. If someone loses their leg due to amputation, their DNA doesn’t change. If they have a child, that child would still grow 2 fully functional legs. They wouldn’t grow a stub because that’s what their parent had. So Adam would have one less rib, but his offspring would have the normal amount.
Yes I believe that would be true genetically of this offspring. One thing I disagree with him that various from other the emotions and pastors as well as of course disclaiming agnostics is that he indicated that the extra rib came from a phenomenon call anomaly. This is a anatomical estruction of variation and a person either because of genetics or environmental factors when they were developing it can vary from being benign to causing serious health problems. Consistent with both science and theology Adam was in a perfect world and he was sinless thus perfect God wouldn't allow an aberration in his development. He sacrificed that rim to create woman who was created by God to enrich man's life and protect his heart so most likely she was created from either the fourth or fifth rib which surrounds they are hard in a thoracic cage. The stimulation of thought is interesting because I decided to revisit this phenomenon after a devotional and a Bible study on Genesis 2. So in essence it's mostly a theological story that shows God's love for mankind and that we're creating in his image including woman, but once again we have to be consistent with the perfection of creation at that time so I like to have a proper exegesis on this story. My background is former massage therapist and retired chiropractor as well as long time believer in Jesus Christ and member in the body of christ.

Well, we could just say if a doctor removed one of my ribs. My offspring would still have the same number of ribs I originally had. Its pretty simple actually.
I’ve heard comments from men, when their arm is around his wife pulled next to his side, he says it’s like she fits there in his side. I thought that interesting. That natural connection of belonging like she came from a rib. Hey wait, she did! Lol! She just fits there, the pieces fit together.

I thought all my life that men were indeed short a rib
Same here. I was taught that. That men has 23. Women has 24. So men has 24 ribs. So must be Adam had 1 short rib. Then rest of the men has 24 ribs.
Our rib cage is off set because of that

First and hi😇😇
