Baldur's gate 3 review hopefully Saturday as I did not get a review key so am buying it tonight and have 3 others playing coop with me, so expect the review a bit later than the main stream reviews.
I can't wait for your opinion on the character customization.
Would like to see you give it a good reaming for switching to turn based combat.
Hopefully its not divinity original sin with a baldurs gate paint job.

Full Metal Sergeant is way better despite having a more simple and limited base setup.
It bothers me that the combat appears to be completely off camera, unless I missed something? Boo. Alas, sort of feels like a lot of buildup to end in a whimper when it comes to the payoff.

@@wormfood83the issue with evil genius 2 is that they removed emergent gameplay with traps and agents responding to items, heat properly.
Many things are instead on timers and scripted, it makes the whole experience feel like a mobile game tbh.

I played this when it first came out, and it was bad, unless they made some major changes, I wouldn't recommend it.
Not for the cost no say worth about whatever I wanna pay for it.
early game is too restricted, you have to build unit X to progress, no strategy involved whatsoever. lategame when you finally get more freedom alot of things get very VERY annoying to manage and there is still limited creativity in unit composition, you need X amount of every class to get throught missions and you wont build more than that cause you need to pay them salary even if they dont fight. training them is a pain, you need to individually click them alot which is the reason i've quit during the lategame, you wait a ton of time for cash and have to keep individually managing personal. the only thing i enjoyed was the strategy of what build to unlock first and where to place it, the rest is boring af and often unbalanced.

Considering the way the characters look, I wouldn't be surprised.
Immediate turn off is the clashing artstyles - Stylized but semi-realistic base management with hideously cartoony personnel pictures, and then lowpoly art-brushstroke-textures overworld - Were the base building/management and meta-campaign elements developed by completely different art teams??

I call these game - TIME WASTERS. Much like Anno, Endzone, Tropico - you grind and you grind and you become bankrupt. And then things take double if not tripple long. Game developers have completely lost the ball on making games.
Where is the fight , you did not show the actual fight or it 's in the background ?
It seems the battles are a % bar slowly filling up :(

have 3 all the money recreation buildings and 1 of each production building with auto sell at the supply drops. you wont have money issues, have -10k income per day but just those building make that and more each day
The mobile game aesthetic is a bit off putting.
Looks like they had a good look at rollercoaster.
I actually like that money is a big Critical Point.
I prefer the enemy, the good guys look bland

With a potential world war on the horizon and military publications talking about reinstating the military draft, the cartoonish, disarming art style of this game makes me feel really uncomfortable when looking at it. It just, puts me off so much, no matter good it may be. We need people to be exposed to Telegram war, not Fisher Price war.
