You think Red Baron is high energy for Joakim's singing?
You gotta see him doing Ghost Division at Polish Woodstock. This level of singing but Joakim is running back and forth across a stage and there's like no break in rythm.

4/21/1918 the day of the Red Barons death. Shot down over the Western Front and buried by the Australians with full military honors. Nearby squadrons laid wreaths on his grave that read in part: "To Our Gallant and Worthy Foe"

Fun fact, The Red Baron's Squadron was called "The Flying Circus" which was was where Monty Pythons Flying Circus, got the last part of their name, more precise
The title Monty Python's Flying Circus was partly the result of the group's reputation at the BBC. Michael Mills, the BBC's Head of Comedy, wanted their name to include the word "circus" because the BBC referred to the six members wandering around the building as a circus,
The group added "flying" to make it sound less like an actual circus and more like something from World War I. The group was coming up with their name at a time when the 1966 Royal Guardsmen song Snoopy vs. the Red Baron had been at a peak. Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen, the World War I German flying ace known as The Red Baron, commanded the Jagdgeschwader 1 squadron of planes known as "The Flying Circus."
The words "Monty Python" were added because they claimed it sounded like a really bad theatrical agent, the sort of person who would have brought them together, with John Cleese suggesting "Python" as something slimy and slithery, and Eric Idle suggesting "Monty". They later explained that the name Monty means Lord Montgomery, the great general of the Second World War".

Fun fact no. 2 Initially, he was a keyboard player and wanted to sing only until the band finds a permanent vocalist.
He started playing the Hammond Organ at the age of 10 Joakim played a lot of church organs because they are so similar to the Hammond Organ. He's not a religious person, but likes their sound

Been lucky enough to Sabaton a couple of times. Once on this tour with 20,000 fans at Wembley Arena. The first time at a 600 capacity venue on Brighton seafront. They've come a long way! No tanks or triplanes at that first show, but just as much passion and performance :)

Many thanks for these great words! That's exactly what I always try to explain people who think Sabaton glorifies war! They write great music about historical events and their performance is always awesome. Besides they are also really nice guys and it is always so much fun to visit their shows! By the way, here you can see Joakim playing piano and singing "The Hammer Has Fallen". It is from 2012 but still amazing.

Hi man! I hope you're going to react to more Epica :)
How about something from their debut album when Simone was just 19? She had such a wonderful voice a bit deeper operatic vocals. I mean, she still has a beautiful voice which I'm still in love with, but she has changed it a bit (might be due to the MRSA throat infection she had back in 2008, I don't know....)
