Hi Tom, i have a little tip about the jalapeno. To take the seeds out you just take a teaspoon and scrape it off. It takes like ten seconds and will get it all.😊
Hi, loved your cooking skills. I’m Randa’s California sister-in-law and she really does have many, many great recipes. Have her send you her Million Dollar Cake recipe. OMG!
Thank you! Randa has shared that recipe with us. We will try it soon. Thanks for the recommendation!!! We really appreciate that you watched our video today.
I just watched Brenda’s video for Corn Dip. Where as Brenda and others have made videos or sent in recipes, this recipe varies from Brenda’s so it is doubtful this lady “stole “ it from Brenda. In any event this is not worth losing sleep over and it is always welcomed when others share their tried and true family favorite recipes. I especially liked the manner in which Randa shared the recipe complete with explicit directions and products. Thanks to Tom and Melissa for sharing the recipe that was sent to them. I enjoy Tom’s videos and look forward to each video.
@@soulmatelost2014just because Brenda Gnatt made the recipe doesn’t mean she’s the first one to make that recipe. She might of been the first time you’ve seen it made but this corn dip has been around sense the 70s

I’ve been making this same recipe for a long time and we love it. I’ve even baked it and it’s oh so good hot too. Randa is right about this dip being best with Fritos corn chips . Hope y’all enjoy for many years.
I made the Corn Dip and we loved it. Thank you for all the wonderful recipes we have really enjoyed them. Here is a recipe I have made many times and my family loves it Homemade Mounds Bar and so easy to make Mounds Bar 2 cups melted milk or dark chocolate 3 cups of coconut flakes 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Mix the shredded coconut with the condensed milk, shape them into an oblong shape, freeze them for 20 minutes, then dip them into the melted milk or dark chocolate.
Hi Tom and Melissa I'm from Texas I also make this corn dip its really good I make it frozen corn and add chopped red, orange bell pepper diced small it also a perty dip any way you choose to make it .Everyone will love it. I love watching yal!
About you recipes from others.. I agree with you. I have made so many recipes that were very disappointing from other channels. I've had corn dip before but never made it myself so now I know how😊. I do know I really liked it but I'm a chips and dip kinda gal 😊 Hope everyone will enjoy the evening, the game and the dip. ❤
It is so nice that you have great communication with one of your subscribers. Isn't it wonderful to meet different people and get different recipes from those people? Hey y'all.. Temple Texas here! Try using frozen 'Steamable Honey Roasted Corn', thawed and drained... It has the perfect sweetness you're looking for! I have also in a pinch used French Onion Dip instead of sour cream! Great recipe Randa! Thanks! Thanks everyone for sharing! Blessed Be!
Hello from Northern California. We lived in Salado, TX for 5 years. One of our granddaughters lives in Temple and our daughter lives in Mart, TX and another granddaughter lives in Waco!
Hello Melissa and Tom, I will be making this recipe after a trip to the grocery store......Thanks for many great recipes and thank you most of all for printing the complete recipe at the bottom of your presentation.
My momma had tons of snack food recipes, my fave was her shrimp dip she served with bugles ( I found out later it makes an excellent finger sandwich filling)
Oh they are not lying, i rubbed my face and it was on fire. It turned all red and burned. That had been the first time i ever had a jalapeno. That was only time i did that i learned fast😅
Hello Tom & Melissa - this dip looks like it will be a great recipe. Enjoy your company & have a great evening. Thanks for sharing your recipe with everyone. 👏👏👏💕🌻
This is going to be a good dish for many functions. Thank you and Melissa. I love simple and quick. You have some fantastic chopping skills, very small and uniform on those jalapeños. 🙏🏻
I was thinking the same thing! I have a scrumptious English Muffin Tidbits recipe that I am going to send Tom and Melissa. It requires things cut up really fine and I don’t have that skill. So Tom would do a much better job with my recipe.
I couldn't find Mexicorn at my store so I looked it up on the web and noticed it is only whole kernel corn with chopped red & green bell pepper! No problem, I just added the peppers to my regular canned corn. It was great.
I want to tell you something funny. I've heard from other folks that when they use a green onion, they cut off the bulb and don't use the bulb. They only use the green part. I tried to tell him the bulb is one of the best parts of a green onion.
Hi Tom and Melissa. My husband and I live in PCB right in the Gulf in a resort. I was watching a video of yours in the past and I heard you mention Tom Brown Park and I told my husband they must vacation down here near us. So watching this video this morning I heard you say Panama City Beach and I look like well we’re neighbors for a few weeks.! it’s been awful stormy this morning but I love the gulf when it roars in during the storm! Hope you guys have a great visit. Glad to have you as Snowbird neighbors. I’m say hello if you get a chance! Cindy and Joe
I will chill the corn dip but I truly like everything either hot or room temp, so I'll have to let it sit out afterward. I'm also glad you requested viewers to only send "tried and true" recipes instead of "it sounds good" recipes. thx y'all .
Save the stems of those jalapenos for homemade yogurt starter. 6 stems to 1 quart yogurt, ymmv. Yes, crazy sounding but it works. Rub your hands under cold water and rub them along the stainless faucet or sink to clean the heat off your hands and get a clean sink all in one. Freeze the liquid off the corn to use as stock. Another dip that must have Fritos (any type) is a block of cream cheese with salsa poured over the block. Leave the block whole.
I'm not a big cilantro lover, but I think a tiny bit of cilantro mixed in would really bring out the Mexican flavor & maybe tiny diced tomato meat. Not the part where the seeds are because that would make this dip too watery. I love corn everything, so I will definitely make this dip. I love to eat Frito's scoops when I serve & eat my clam dip!
Looks phenomenal and I can't wait to try it. One suggestion: when working with any hot peppers, please wear nitrile gloves and protective eye glasses, and avoid touching your face or skin. As a trauma nurse, I have seen some serious injuries just from splashing a little pepper juice. Thanks for sharing!
I can’t wait to try this. I think my kids will love it. I cant wait to see what recipes you share that subscribers send in, maybe family favorites from subbies or Subbie Sundays.
Hello, Tim and Melissa! I made this yesterday after church. It chilled for 2-3 hours and had it with Sunday night dinner. It was okay, but I was a little disappointed. However, I’m old enough to,know it will be better the day after. Oh boy, was I right!! It is amazing!! This will become my standard dish to carry to pot lucks or snack events! I’m betting it will become requested, too! Thank, you for sharing!!

Watching this video made me want a dip. Of course I don't have all the ingredients for this Corn Dip so I asked Ken which did he want: the Olive Dip or the Ranch dip. Hi Tom and Melissa, thoroughly enjoying your channel! Just a helpful tip-- level the surface of your sour cream left in the container and it won't separate!
Love you guys, I made every Christmas candy with you and I was blown away with the butter pecan,, I had to make so many batches, because word got around,, and I shared your recipe with their gift,, THANK YOU SO MUCH,, and God Bless forevermore
The only thing that I might add would be bacon. I agree that you need to make a recipe according to the directions the first time before you alter it. Thank you for being so patient & kind when you explain things. I love that your recipes usually have a heartwarming story behind them. Thank you for sharing them with us.
I think adding bacon would be fine. I mean, it's bacon, right?! Bacon makes everything better! We really do appreciate that you are watching our channel, and we are happy to have you at the table with us.
If you will slice the green onion in half lengthwise before slicing across they won’t run all over your board and when eating you don’t get a chunk of onion. I like a taste of onion without a big bite of it so this works for me.
Regarding the separation of liquids in the sour cream. If you flatten out the remaining sour cream in the container with the back of your spoon it will not separate! I’ve also heard if you put the lid back on, turn it upside down and slam it down on the countertop you will achieve the same effect. Can’t wait to try this recipe.
Hope you enjoy it like we all did. And we are excited to see your recipes. Tom reads recipe books like I read a novel. Thanks so much for your encouraging comment.
I totally agree with you that a recipe should be made as written the first time. That said, I can tell by looking at it that that calls for WAY too much mayonnaise for my taste. When dishes call for 1/2 Mayo and half sour cream I always do the called for SC but then cut the Mayo in half. But that’s just me. This really does looks delicious, though, and I was loving that bowl before you ever said anything, lol!
We had a corn dip like this at the Round Top Texas antique fair, only it was cooked. It was soooo good! I’ll have to try this one, both cold and baked. I think I have seen something like this called street corn dip. Thanks for sharing! And thanks, Randa!
I made this dip and I didn't put enough spice in it. I decided instead of using Fritos alone, I would also serve it with the firecrackers I made from your recipe. Boy, they were absolutely delicious. Just thought I would let you know.
Hi Tom and Melissa. I just fixed the corn dip, and I have to say, that is the best dip I have ever had!!! Thank you for showing us how to make it. I will be making it next weekend for my condo meeting. God bless you all for sharing this recipe with your viewers. 🎉
I made this, but added a bit of taco seasoning and a dash or two of blackened Cajun seasoning for some added flavor. Turned out great, and, yes, I agree.that it is great with the Fritos. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Tom and Melissa. I originally stumbled upon your youtube channel looking for a hot dog chili recipe. I found yours and made it and loved it. It makes quiet a bit so I froze it in smaller portions and pull out what I need on hot dog nights. It does freeze well. I am glad I found your channel as I have tried several other recipes you have shared. I have enjoyed them all. Thanks for sharing so many delicious recipes with easy to follow instructions on making them 😊
Made this yesterday for Super Bowl! Made it exactly by you directions and did use Scoops! Even better today when I got home from work! I might kick up the spice a bit when I make it next time....and there will be a next time! Thank you! Hope you are enjoying your time in Florida!

My family live firecrackers bt I've bn making mine for over 15yrs n I also add dill season to mine which is delicious!
@xjtBA
Theyre saltine crackers with seasons.

I just made that dip 2 days ago. It is delicious. I was craving Cilantro so I Minced some up and put in it. Over the top amazing.
Grandsons favorite dip. He eats it with every thing as long as its made. If you want any better get it before he discovers it.

I made this, but added a bit of taco seasoning and a dash or two of blackened Cajun seasoning for some added flavor. Turned out great, and, yes, I agree.that it is great with the Fritos. Thanks for sharing.
And thanks to Randa for sharing it with us, too.
Well we are not too far away from you all in Kentucky we live in Glasgow Kentucky.. Love the recipe love the videos.
My sister in law uses shoepeg corn in a very similar dish and it's fantastic!!!
My sister and BIL used to live in Panama City Beach, Florida. They loved it there! Beautiful area.
My son tried it with Ritz Original Toasted chips/crackers and I have to say, it was better than the Scoops to me!
Chicken and sliders or also known as dumplings one of my favorites
