Their idea/explanation of the game reminds me of Warframe and PoE. The core of them are obviously looter shooter/ARPG, however their updates take heavy inspiration from a ton of different genres and really they try to keep adding new and unique mechanics.
Wow Cohh has gotten really good at interviewing - and all while playing the game at the same time ! Would love to see Cohh interview more devs like this. 👍
Cheers for the insights … I can say that after 100+ hours into it, and 4 different hero’s with different builds, I’m loving every spec and talent I switch in between depending on my mood. This really felt genuine. Keep it up moon studios! Thanks again Cohn!!!
I have to make another build. I still have one 🤦🏾♂️ my job takes up most of my time. But I’m loving the game tho. I love farming different areas and finding new things
I've been on the fence about this game for a bit now, but Korol's authenticity towards it really sold me. There's a developer that's swinging for the fences, I can respect that.
Absolutely amazing game! Love this interview and I'm glad they are sticking with their vision, yet listening to the community. Can't wait for full release.
All the gameplay facets sound cool and all. Giving players choice to tackle the things they want. On the other side, how many of these elements will feel mandatory to progress your character? Most devs go for a focused approach with limited features that work well for a game. This team tries to do the opposite. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off or if it turns out to be "all over the place".
Cohh asking the questions that need to be asked! also echoes?? last epoch ?? the platform idea does sound like devs want something simliar to how Warframe works.
I've been LOVING the game. The story is brilliant. The combat is amazing and requires so much more skill than most games (although Cohh seems to have found some massively OP build that chews through enemies in a way I couldnt dream of doing). Crafting is great. I have played 4 characters through the story quests currently available and keep enjoying it more and more. I've really enjoyed gearing up my characters and have started to use the crucible to improve the good gear I have. No XP in there is fine, because the rewards are better gear to help with the next steps of the story when they drop.
The game is a diamond in the rough and even saying the rough isn’t quite it. In its current state it’s 7.9 out of 10. What holds it back is the lack of content at this moment. Can’t wait to see what else is to come.
It's amazing game. I finished all souls like games, but i never had so deep feelings like in this game. Such atmospheric and beautiful dark fantasy with magnetic storytelling. Thanks developers i will give you all my money 🤣, just keep going.
I definitely agree that the rogue lite mode should not have XP that carries over into the other game modes. The players may ask for it. But it will 100% trivialize the main game. Perhaps the rogue “lite” aspect can allow some progression to carry over. Weapons earned in the rogue lite mode, or armor sets or very small incremental upgrades, perhaps, but just being able to for example, increase your health and damage by 50% in a rogue like mode is going to ruin the main game balance.
good stuff! wish more dev interviews were more like this, instead of just a podcast of people talking about their game. Why not tlak about it -while- playing it?!
This is legit the game I've always wished there was!!! Just got the early access man just don't know if I wanna wait till the full release, or just dive on in now. I just don't wanna love the game, like i know I will 😂, then be mad cause I don't have any more to play after 100 hours.... Super excited for this one man most isometric games go turn based or mmo type combat, or diabloesk... This is the one!!!
Eventualy yes, from the early access it looks pomising. Obviously there isn't a lot right now, but the quality of voice acting and cinematicis great and and there is enougth to get my interest, I'm eager to get more. :)
not into this loot endless loop; i hoped more of a good story and handcrafted level design focus. if it turns into another diablo, i'll just get the artbook for the great artworks. some of the feedback i heard also is that the boss variety and boss moves are still limited; another important focus not to neglect for this soulzy arpg
I really want to play this but I think I will wait until it’s available on consoles. The removal of exp in the crucible kinda put me off a bit. I want to play the game how I want to. If I go super powered to an end zone why not? It feels good to defeat a boss that I couldn’t defeat before because now I’m a gigachad thanks to this content. It seems more that the developers want us to play what they “intended” not how the players wish to engage the game. Don’t remove features that players are utilizing to become stronger…. This is just outright wrong. Imo….
I love it, but Hades 2 has 90% of the same systems (for resource gathering), many many many games have homestead elements where you extend and build your home.. It's not black magic to explain it. I love Moon Studios, but it reminds me that "drama" when people said Ori 2 had Hollow Knight elements and the game director got very defensive. Like chill bro, you make good games - not everything good has to be org. "We didn't even play Hollow Knigjht" yes, but your game is made by people that did. Relax. Right now the issue with crucible is that it uses your healing resources , so if you run out you have to go to the overworld and grind. Def would be great to have sep healing (like flasks) to it. Times actually don't bother me - I kinda agree, I think there's a better way to handle it - but it doesn't really made me annoyed.
It's a promotion, showing the game play is gonna help explain what he's saying better. Also Cohh handled multitasking well and the Dev signed off on this and probably asked him to do this
You guys know this game is never releasing right? The biggest update was just a rework of a existing location (crucible), that says they have literally no content coming
What? Are you new to gaming or software release? This is tracking just fine for full release. They aren't going to put out chapters one by one... that would spoil the game for full release...
Sooooooo.... what you're saying is this is the diablo exploration-inspired darksouls-heavy combat stardew valley game. Got it.
Their idea/explanation of the game reminds me of Warframe and PoE. The core of them are obviously looter shooter/ARPG, however their updates take heavy inspiration from a ton of different genres and really they try to keep adding new and unique mechanics.
More content. More map and more monsters is what we need before anything else
I've already said it before hearing both the founders speak on the game. This game is going to be incredible if it's HALF of what they want it to be.
Love these - Please keep doing these Cohh! 💯

Lol enjoy you timer everywhere.....

I have faith in this studio, Ori and especially the sequel were absolutely incredible games.
This game is so cool, definitely want to see more of this game. You're awesome cohh, definitely one of my favorite RUclips/twitch streamers 💜

I'm really hoping that this game doesn't end up being a jack of all trades but a master at none.

Catching up on the new stuff. Games so cool.

Amazing game. Congrats and thanks for the game Moon Studios.
Cohh be like the Hot Ones interviewer, asking only the cool questions
I need this game on Ps5. Been wat hing several people playing early access for a bit now and can't wait to get my hands on it 👍
thank you for this💟
IF they add Some Color Pallet mod in setting that will be great
When is the multiplayer and pvp update coming? That's what I'm looking forward to the most

will buy no rest when there's co op. hyped. And I fully support making a fun game that doesn't fit in a premade box.

nice interview, but the thing i liked the most is gameplay.Cohh, I love your humour and constant duels with gravity
It’s an amazing game, though I wish they‘d fix the problems on steam deck. Crashing after 2 minutes is just not viable
One more update and I’m buying the game. I’ve had my eye on it for a while.
Can't wait when it will be on ps5!
Make the game run, like it is 2024, the heck is it 40FPS on modern hardware
a bit hard to hear the guy talking over the sound of the gameplay fyi
And the visual is a bit distracting, with a disembodied coming out of nowhere , bizarre setup
This game NEEDS couch coop when it hits console.
I have to ask cohh how hard it was to not dive in for another 30ish hours on this game.
Is there an overarching story that you can follow to an eventual conclusion?
Eventualy yes, from the early access it looks pomising.
Obviously there isn't a lot right now, but the quality of voice acting and cinematicis great and and there is enougth to get my interest, I'm eager to get more. :)
Not at the moment. The story arc atm is very very short.
not into this loot endless loop; i hoped more of a good story and handcrafted level design focus. if it turns into another diablo, i'll just get the artbook for the great artworks. some of the feedback i heard also is that the boss variety and boss moves are still limited; another important focus not to neglect for this soulzy arpg
They should add dating sim to the game too
so this is a reupload of an interview way back... figures...
all I want from the game is for the arms to not look so off-putting and weird :(

All i want to see is when will they add the next area instead of this roguelike nonsense.
for a smaller studio I expected them to actually give some answers, but they already got the pr bullshitting down to a t.

Give us the multiplayer 🤓
#justicefororistits
Ginger prime did this , and much better , this is a but a a repeat of what they told him .
Man don’t play the game as you’re interviewing a dev. Give that man all of your attention. Lol
It's a promotion, showing the game play is gonna help explain what he's saying better. Also Cohh handled multitasking well and the Dev signed off on this and probably asked him to do this
I agree. He should have a recorded vod of him playing in the background while interviewing.
You guys know this game is never releasing right?
The biggest update was just a rework of a existing location (crucible), that says they have literally no content coming
Are you expecting entire acts to release every couple of months or something? The game only released into EA not even 6 months ago
Man shut up
What? Are you new to gaming or software release? This is tracking just fine for full release. They aren't going to put out chapters one by one... that would spoil the game for full release...
They’re overextending. I also really dislike rogue-likes, which means I’m probably out.
But the rogue like is a small portion of the game once they are finished with the game.
Overpriced
Nope, spot on imo
