Just want to give my thoughts as a heavier runner. Yes, the shoe is firmer than shoes like the Nimbus, but what I’ve found is it’s more resilient over the run, as in it doesn’t seem to fall flat or feel dead when you get in the longer miles. It’s very consistent for us heavier runners. Personally, I think the cushioning is great for someone heavier as we can compress the midsole a little better. I’m not a brooks fan, but I do love the Ghost Max. Also, I didn’t feel that much of a difference from V1 to V2 in regard to its cushioning. Maybe a touch softer in V2, but it’s almost not noticeable. The upper feel and fitment are almost identical. If I had to compare this to another shoe, I’d say it feels closer to the Glideride 1. Not really soft, but consistent with a nice rolling action.
Ran 500km in the GM. Just over 100km in the GM2. 5ft 7. 160lb human. GM2 feels lumpier on foot & is a larger volume upper. I have found the GM to be a little more connected to me, personally. Both shoes look after your feet really well on long runs, but the GM disappeared on the feet more than the GM2. Personally, they could have simply put in the new foam. Still, it'll be a great shoe for many.
Amazon has a great try it before you buy it program. I tried these for seven days for free. I agree with the extra foam at the forefoot. As an older runner my fat pads aren’t what they used to be. These felt great in that area. Great fat pad protection on these.
I would definitely say the OG is soft . Loft v2 was soft and squishy. GM2 is firmer and bouncier . The loft v3 feels heavier under foot but definitely a better daily trainer whereas the OG is more a walking and recovery shoe

My net takeaway from this vid is shoe is a half a step backward; better choices available… Just me, but looks like a mall-walking shoe. Brooks colorway game still sucks.

It's the absolute perfect firmness for all-day wear. Such a comfortable shoe.
I could not have said it any better, well said. It odd a fine, fine shoe
Ghost Max V1 is the first Brooks I can run in without problems. Hyperion Max 2 also.
How the ankle support on it? My ankles burn when running and need a better running shoe asap
Just seen this review and you’ve hit the 100K followers, well done👏👏
The bloopers!! 😍😍😍
And congrats on 100k!
Thanks for the review… went to the store to try it. Kinda felt like a stacked/heavier Clifton 7 honestly.😊

Firmer is so much better for clydesdales. Perfect daily trainer!
Thank you for making me laugh guys!
What happened to Jami reviews?? that dude was the GOAT of shoe reviews.
Hi.Very good information. Now, I have the brooks ghost Max 1 for easy/long distance. Like to Meaghan and Thomas. Have a great day.

ayyyyy 100k!
Congrats on 100k
The puma mag max destroys this shoe. Returned the ghost max 2 because its not very versatile
Have you tried both? What's better about the Puma at slower paces? Can the Puma suit heel strikers and match the rocker of the GM2?
Looks like you now have 100K subs. Yay! Congratulations!
Is that colour only for reviewers? Thanks once again
yay 100k!
You got the 100k! Congrats! ❤
And you also got 100k shoes.

I think that's even heavier than my hiking boots. No bueno.
Seems like you got 100k subs!🎉
It’s a bad day to be a lawn mower with these shoes around
