Holy crap… Ulara is so pretty!!! The silhouette is amazing, the colors are gorgeous, and her whole theme is amazing! As a snake fan, it’s nice to see it put in a more gentle and heroic light than as a malicious or trickster type. It’s also nice to see a leader that isn’t the Superman or Army Commander type. Ahhhh, she’s so cool!!! The ability to detach from her empathetic nature to do what needs to be done at the last resort is also neat! It’s so different from how “heroes” are typically represented and I love it so much!!! Extremely well done, Calimari… extremely well done!
She shows kindness and confidence in her eyes, which is very nice for a leader. I loved her theme, the silhouette and that she is a very muscular woman without losing her elegance
It's because she has lean muscle. When most us think of muscle we think of weight lifters or people with thick musculature in general. But there is also the lean athlete build (or in this case the lean martial artist build).
I absolutely LOVE how you took a more gentle, humble and healing approach to her instead of the usual malicious trickster manipulator character usually associated with snakes, she is so beautiful and it always makes me so happy to see people sprinkling in their own culture in their work

I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the complicated and partially non-western/European reading on snakes you have here! snakes have historically and around the world had benevolent and healing connotations, often even relating to rebirth when they shed their skin and rise anew. I'm so happy to see these elements reflected in Ulara's personality and visual design ❤️🥺

Ok, am I the only one that needs Callimara's magical world serialized? All her designs and lore are just so great, detailed, and well done. Keep up the hard work. We love it❤
Using diamonds for Felle Noire (which represents excitement of wealth) and using hearts for Ulara (which represents love) gave me a sense that you're going for a bit of card theme with your magical girl team, which their are only four members, right? So that's perfect. If you don't mind, I have a idea of what you can do for the next Aegis holder. My idea was for the next person of the team has the Raven Aegis, and have this person be a socially recluse super genius who has trouble getting along with others until she meets the main group. I would also have this person act as recon for the group, gathering information from police officers on duty or steaking out criminal hideouts and send the information back to the team, Like Huginn and Muninn did for Odin. And the shape I would chose was Spades because they represent intelligence, wisdom, and communication. This is just my idea though, you probably have something else in mind and you don't have to take mine seriously, it's just a fun idea I came up with. Love your content, by the way.

I love how you integrated cultural inspirations into the design. I can’t hope but wonder witch cultures will we see as insiration for the other Aegis wielders. I am very interested in the Hawk Aegis wielder in particular. If i may make a suggestion. I think the anchient Huns would serve well as clothing inspiration for this fast, deadly and free spirited character.
The boots and headwear are perfect, especially considering the purpose of the suit for combat! She looks so good, and still has elements of her culture, gorgeous 👏

I haven't expected this personality for snake aegis and I like that it isn't what I've expected, this is much better. Being down to Earth and compassionate is in my opinion not used enough for magic team leaders. The only thing I afraid is her being too versatile (excellent combat, excellent weapon usage, excellent learning speed, excellent charisma, excellent healing skills, excellent personality, excellent senses) so instead of being part of the team she would be slef-sufficient with the other girls feeling excessive and useless. It is possible to make embodiment of perfection character who is still likable by readers, but it is usually trickier than expected. I feel like the Ladybug problem came partially from this.

I just imagine a scene where the least experience member gets hurt in a fight and Ulara just goes mother bear mode on an enemy. After that, Ulara then goes heal as well as lecturing them about being rexless while also hugging them cause she was worried and not letting that person out of her sight.

Love her ! She looks like katara from ATLA and not in the bad way. Benevolant, kind, compassionate graceful and versatile as water... She's also the "mom" of the group. But she can also be cold blooded and vengefull. The hearts shape is really good cause in writing, the heart of a group is the character that help, heal and care for the others members. Personally, The flaw u shared with us is cool : cause her lack of selfcare (In the sense that she care more about other than herself ) can be use to create tension if she have the tendency to sacrifice herself or take everything on her. But what is her driving force... If this is the will of protect everyone ? Why does she have it ? Did she failed to protect something or somebody in the past... A traumatic expérience that could have humbled her ?... That would be cool to know that and more.
So I watched the songbird video and then came back around to the rest of the playlist, and I have to say Ulara is absolutely my favorite character so far. I really love the detail of her gentle and calming expression not changing and instead taking on a super eerie vibe when she's ripping you to shreds in combat. I think stoic and kind looking but still genuinely terrifying characters are underrated and they're one of my all time favorite character types, so I'm glad to see you using it for this story! (Plus as a support main in everything: THANK YOU for making her so badass and yet also a healer. The true embodiment of the "I'm a healer, but" meme lol) And her design is absolutely beautiful as well. I can see why you're using text for this story rather than comic form because WOW you have some intricate designs going on here!!! I've been watching your videos here and there for a while, but this one absolutely sold me on the subscribe lol. Can't wait to see more!
Another amazing design! I love everything from the outfit design. The weapon she uses and her hesitancy to use it as a first resort. How the people of the town have come to view her due to how she carries herself. And the fact that she's comfortable being feminine in a positive way while being the leader of the team. Most of the time I've come to expect female leaders in movies and shows to always be overwhelming bossy and makes people want to keep them well beyond arms length. This also tells me that I need to work more on developing my own world building for my own story I have in mind. My problem is finding people to help bounce ideas off of.

i love how you made her body shape an inverted traingle (that's what its usually called, but a lot of people do equate it to a heart) with that larger bust and smaller hips. idk if it was intentional, but I certainly noticed!

I am really in love with the series and character designs. Also, I have a question about the Aegis. Can different wielders be based on different species/subspecies of a certain animal? For example, we know that Ulara is based on a reticulated python (from the first Wildward video and art of Naga), but could someone else be based on a different snake species?
iirc, it's the Sentinels rather than the Aegis wielders whose designs are based around specific animals, as they took the form of the first creature they saw that embodied their value. so Naga is a reticulated python, not Ulara, meaning it would be consistent across all Snake Aegis wielders. hopefully that makes sense! :)
Wow! Great job, Callimara! Ulara looks like a gorgeous, wise, and caring “big sister” of the group who I would love to hug and talk about my problems with. I love how she has a green motif and is the soft-spoken and laid back member of the group who doesn’t like confrontation (just like me) despite being the leader of the group. It’s so refreshing to see a fictional leader who isn’t all cheerful, happy-go-lucky and outgoing like most fictional leaders I’ve seen so far (especially the pink leaders I would see in most magical girl shows). At first I thought that the stag aegis would be the leader of the group, but boy was I in for a surprise! I bet that the stag aegis holder will be a descendant of the original creator of the aegis spell book who will be the girls’ wise mentor, no doubt 😉 (just like Master Fu, but wiser, braver, and more caring to their mentee(s) when it comes to their own personal safety who doesn’t use them as a shield from their problems or let them give out magic powers like free candy).

I wasn't sure about the design as it was going along but towards the end I say that it was just the pink fabric throwing me off so when you made it gold the whole look just worked a thousand times better Great design 💛
I just want to say that I was ecstatic when I found out you were Indonesian. I love how you added your culture and language in your videos and Wildward, as I'm Indonesian myself. I feel that Indonesia is not as represented as other countries, at least for me. So I love watching your videos and learning things about my culture I did not know myself.

Ahhh I like a lot of soft and gentle type characters so I think I’ll really like Ulara. Her design is my favorite so far too, but only 2 designs have been revealed so I’ll probably change my soon lol.

In the Q&A you have mentioned that one of the characters might be mute and since the songbird eigis is all about singing, it would be interesting seeing how she would work around that. My thoughts on Ulara is -She's SUCH A GORGEOUS GODDESS I WANNA WORSHIP- ...I mean in all seriousness I like her crown alot and glad you used minimal detailing as it makes her look regal but more humble. Fun fact: few snakes can change the color of their scales, so maybe her hair, or her skintight green suit could change into different colors, like pink, depending on Ulara's mood?

I just imagine a scene where the least experience member gets hurt in a fight and Ulara just goes mother bear mode on an enemy. After that, Ulara then goes heal as well as lecturing them about being rexless while also hugging them cause she was worried and not letting that person out of her sight.

Love her ! She looks like katara from ATLA and not in the bad way. Benevolant, kind, compassionate graceful and versatile as water... She's also the "mom" of the group. But she can also be cold blooded and vengefull. The hearts shape is really good cause in writing, the heart of a group is the character that help, heal and care for the others members. Personally, The flaw u shared with us is cool : cause her lack of selfcare (In the sense that she care more about other than herself ) can be use to create tension if she have the tendency to sacrifice herself or take everything on her. But what is her driving force... If this is the will of protect everyone ? Why does she have it ? Did she failed to protect something or somebody in the past... A traumatic expérience that could have humbled her ?... That would be cool to know that and more.
So I watched the songbird video and then came back around to the rest of the playlist, and I have to say Ulara is absolutely my favorite character so far. I really love the detail of her gentle and calming expression not changing and instead taking on a super eerie vibe when she's ripping you to shreds in combat. I think stoic and kind looking but still genuinely terrifying characters are underrated and they're one of my all time favorite character types, so I'm glad to see you using it for this story! (Plus as a support main in everything: THANK YOU for making her so badass and yet also a healer. The true embodiment of the "I'm a healer, but" meme lol) And her design is absolutely beautiful as well. I can see why you're using text for this story rather than comic form because WOW you have some intricate designs going on here!!! I've been watching your videos here and there for a while, but this one absolutely sold me on the subscribe lol. Can't wait to see more!
Another amazing design! I love everything from the outfit design. The weapon she uses and her hesitancy to use it as a first resort. How the people of the town have come to view her due to how she carries herself. And the fact that she's comfortable being feminine in a positive way while being the leader of the team. Most of the time I've come to expect female leaders in movies and shows to always be overwhelming bossy and makes people want to keep them well beyond arms length.
This also tells me that I need to work more on developing my own world building for my own story I have in mind. My problem is finding people to help bounce ideas off of.
I like how you explain where your inspiration comes. It's really interesting to listen about the origins of the certain elements in your character designs

i love how you made her body shape an inverted traingle (that's what its usually called, but a lot of people do equate it to a heart) with that larger bust and smaller hips. idk if it was intentional, but I certainly noticed!
Absolutely incredible! I love everything about the design, and I like the name even more. Something about the name Ulara is just so cool. I seriously hope that you plan to make merch of your designs, because I would definitely buy an Ulara or Felle design as a shirt. The Wildward concept is really cool and I'm waiting somewhat impatiently for more.

I am really in love with the series and character designs. Also, I have a question about the Aegis. Can different wielders be based on different species/subspecies of a certain animal? For example, we know that Ulara is based on a reticulated python (from the first Wildward video and art of Naga), but could someone else be based on a different snake species?
iirc, it's the Sentinels rather than the Aegis wielders whose designs are based around specific animals, as they took the form of the first creature they saw that embodied their value. so Naga is a reticulated python, not Ulara, meaning it would be consistent across all Snake Aegis wielders. hopefully that makes sense! :)
She reminds me of Fluttershy and Flora, she's so cute a pretty, I feel like she would give the best hugs ever.

Wow! Great job, Callimara! Ulara looks like a gorgeous, wise, and caring “big sister” of the group who I would love to hug and talk about my problems with. I love how she has a green motif and is the soft-spoken and laid back member of the group who doesn’t like confrontation (just like me) despite being the leader of the group. It’s so refreshing to see a fictional leader who isn’t all cheerful, happy-go-lucky and outgoing like most fictional leaders I’ve seen so far (especially the pink leaders I would see in most magical girl shows). At first I thought that the stag aegis would be the leader of the group, but boy was I in for a surprise! I bet that the stag aegis holder will be a descendant of the original creator of the aegis spell book who will be the girls’ wise mentor, no doubt 😉 (just like Master Fu, but wiser, braver, and more caring to their mentee(s) when it comes to their own personal safety who doesn’t use them as a shield from their problems or let them give out magic powers like free candy).
As an Indonesian, I absolutely _adore_ all the Indonesian culture you intergrated into this particular design. Definitely don't see that enough in media
I wasn't sure about the design as it was going along but towards the end I say that it was just the pink fabric throwing me off so when you made it gold the whole look just worked a thousand times better

I just want to say that I was ecstatic when I found out you were Indonesian. I love how you added your culture and language in your videos and Wildward, as I'm Indonesian myself. I feel that Indonesia is not as represented as other countries, at least for me. So I love watching your videos and learning things about my culture I did not know myself.

if you wanted to put more pink into her design- would Rose Gold work? i think it would be a good combination of both the pink you wanted and the gold you put into her design. But Ulara looks really cool! Can't wait to see more :)

I don't know how but She's done it again with another amazing character design in her amazing fictional world story. Also the colors you used were so pretty and I love hoe she has such a sweet and compassionate feel to her that no one would ever guess that she can kill you so mercilessly as you said in the video! Ahhh I like a lot of soft and gentle type characters so I think I’ll really like Ulara. Her design is my favorite so far too, but only 2 designs have been revealed so I’ll probably change my soon lol.

I love this!! Reccently i was doing research on gods of life and both of them related to snakes in one way or the other! So i think it fits her quite well because she keeps the team alive

She's beautiful! Also I want to mention my theory here! We've seen all of these girl's faces in the community tab and the third one we saw looks like she would be the songbird. In the Q&A you have mentioned that one of the characters might be mute and since the songbird eigis is all about singing, it would be interesting seeing how she would work around that. This is just a theory though! A wildward theoryyy😂

My thoughts on Ulara is -She's SUCH A GORGEOUS GODDESS I WANNA WORSHIP- ...I mean in all seriousness I like her crown alot and glad you used minimal detailing as it makes her look regal but more humble.
Fun fact: few snakes can change the color of their scales, so maybe her hair, or her skintight green suit could change into different colors, like pink, depending on Ulara's mood?
