I worked at Carlsbro Sound Centre in the UK, and in 1982 we had a set of the Korina reissues arrive in the store - an Explorer, V, and Moderne. The Explorer and V sold quickly, but the Moderne was still there years later when I left. Everyone who saw it hanging on the wall thought it was the ugliest guitar they'd ever seen. And they were all right.
It sounds awesome! Meanwhile it does look so ugly, especially the headstock! It reminds me of these pictures from Salvador Dali, where everything is melting!🤣 It really got something to it, because it looks so weird!
This is an early A series, not a prototype. No less of an awesome guitar though. They say "prototype" on the back of the headstock if they are one. One marked prototype was recently on the market.
I love you telling the tonewood haters to get over it.
Very cool Guitar!
It looks like a string nightmare at the headstock but it is a work of art.
Grégorie Hervier‘s book „Vintage“ is a really nice ode to this guitar. 👍
One of the few books I read two times. ;) Gladly my girlfriend back then discovered it in a book store.
Really great book!

i like the body shape of the moderne, but those headstocks have to go. an explorer type headstock would look cool, i think.

If you would have watched the video you would have noticed it has a prototype stamp on the back of the headstock
