Trabzon Turkey has blown us away with its natural beauty.
Trabzon is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeast Turkey. Built as a church in the 13th century, the city's Hagia Sophia has served as a hospital and a museum, but today is a mosque with restored ceiling frescoes.
We took the bus from: Otobüs Duragi (close to Fatih Park)
Over the 48 hours we spent:
13 TL for the Dolmus (6.5 p.P.)
130 TL for Food
13 TL for the Dolmus (6.5 p.P.)
160 TL for the tour to Sümela (80 TL p.P.)
250 TL Entrance to Sümela (125 TL p.P.)

It's been a short trip about Trabzon. There were many places to visit. For example, Uzungöl, Atatürk Köşkü, Ayasofya Müzesi, Vazelon Manastırı, Boztepe, Hamsiköy and highlands. Of course different dishes. Thanks for this trip TME. 🙏

I must also state that you're so lucky to have such a nice weather. Normally the weather is cloudy and foggy, and rainy; the sun rarely shows itself especally at this time of the year. I went to Trabzon too and there were a lot of Arab tourists, I think it is a touristic city, Uzungol is very beautiful. The Sumela monastery is a really incredible place. I wonder how they did it :)
whos they?? the turks? turks didnt make anything! Greeks built it. There was a country already there! called Byzantium, its people spoke greek and latin , capital city Constantinople founded by the roman emperor Constantine. Before that Troy a famous mythological city in anatolia. The turk only occupies other peoples and other civilizations and land. Feels very weird and out of place to see the beautifull and lush landscapes of southern black sea cost paraded about by hordes of simian like shapes, covered from head to toe women, dressed like sacks of potatoes. yuck. Oh glorious and eternal Byzantium. The second Rome. What a beautifull hellenic sight you would be today if the turkic invader and occupier had been repelled 5 centuries ago.
We will travel to Trabzon at the end of June by car from Germany, for the first time.
We are very excited🙂
From there we will head to Kapadaokya, Yozgat, Ankara…
After Ankara we don‘t have a plan yet.

I like kuymak a lot, my mother brings that cornflour and special cheese from Trabzon almost every year when shes back from visiting her parents aka my grandparents in samsun
First time that i saw it being served on bread, im used to eating it from a pan with pieced of bread that i dip in it.
The bread in Turkey also makes every breakfast dish better, fresh crispy from the bakery u can just eat the bread its that tasty

Kuymak kadar overrated bir yemek olamaz..tavada tereyağı eritip üzerine mısır unu ve peynir eklemeyi dünyanın 8. Harikası gibi anlatmiyorlar mi? Reklamcılıkta bir numaralar.. ortalama kalite yemeklere de fahiş fiyat çekiyor lokantalar..sonra enflasyon niye düşmüyor

When we went to Notre Dame and Palais of Popes, Avignon in France we were told that during the Protestant Reformation in the 1600's 'purified' the church by removing visual elements that, according to the iconoclasts, promoted idolatry and false worship. Opinions were mixed among the Reformers at the time regarding whether this was a good thing or a bad thing to do; either way, it happened.
