The Venza really is the hidden gem of Toyota's range. Lexus build quality, smooth & quiet ride, conventional instruments and controls, fantastic mileage, practical without being too big. Get the base LE trim, for the best value.
my wife has 2021 LE in blue. It comes with plenty of standard features such as power liftgate and kick sensor. Those 2 alone are options on my Lexus ES!
Hey Scotty.. I own a 2021 Hybrid Venza AWD as I live in snow country. I traded in my 2011 Venza AWD that had only 98,000 miles on it. which I bought new. Never any issues, just normal regular maintenance. Loved my old Venza it was one of my favorite cars of all time. I was second guessing myself over the Hybrid Venza but your video put my mind at ease. We took it on a 1200 mile road trip and the car flew down the highway, quiet & smooth ride. great gas mileage. Plenty of power for passing lanes. The only gripe is the interior is not as roomy as my old model. Toyota removed some of the side pockets on the passenger side . The center console is way smaller and the glove box is really small. If the sun shines on computer screen forget it. I prefer the Iphone GPS to the car GPS maybe its a programming thing that I haven't figured out just yet. Thank you for this video. Oh, I'm that old lady you always talk about in your videos who you would want to buy a used car from..LOL..
Venza is Toyota's best kept secret - it's a Lexus, with a Toyota price. The build is fantastic and it is a very solid car and can perform. I have been loving mine!
We have a 2010 Toyota Venza, purchased in 2012 with 15k miles; it now has 159k miles and runs like a top!! The 6 cylinder is the best, very fast, getting 21 mpg in the city, comfortable and very roomy. We are seniors, the best car we've ever owned!
I like the old Venzas better. I have a 2011 XLE V6. Just hitting 100,000 miles. Currently on vacation with it in Florida. Drove down from Ohio. Nice power, great ride, nice styling. I also have a 2013 RX 350, and I prefer driving the Venza on longer trips.
Yes that flowers and turmeric part of prayer done by temple priests so to have auspicious for new or used car to eliminate bad omen just part of the traditions when any new thing is arrived at home so family is safe and sound
dewdew, I just bought a 2015 Venza LE, 2.7 i4, FWD, 100K miles. A comparably equipped RAV-4 of the same year, trim level, and mileage was going for $5000 more (around here anyway: Indy) 🤷🏻♂️
@@billbrimmer7047 that’s good to know! I bought mine as a retirement vehicle, and I can do the work on it myself…at least try to keep it out of the shop. I’m thinking if I drive it conservatively and keep up with the maintenance, who knows how long it’ll last?
I had a Mercedes GLC, then a Lexus RX. The Mercedes was in the shop too much for a new vehicle, but I loved the style. This is the Toyota version of the GLC with reliability. Going to order this when my RX lease is up 😁
I have an 07 Camry hybrid still runs original battery only ever did tires and oil changes. Gets good gas mileage. The cost to replace the battery pack keeps going down. Life is good.
Toyota Lexus....Lexus Toyota the most reliable vehicles ever made period. Just purchased a 2018 Toyota 4Runner and I love it! My last vehicle was also a Toyota 4Runner and it had 323,000 miles! It was time, Lol! Listen to Scotty!
The lane keeping assist didn't work the second time because the car didn't recognize the lines on the side/middle of the road so the car had nothing to follow in that break.
We have 2 of them. A 2021 and a 2022. We love both of them. I’m get 44-45 mpg with it! It has great acceleration in sport mode. But very good gas mileage in eco mode.
I'm collecting mine tomorrow. Imported from Japan staghtline 2.0, no turbo. I currently drive a 2017 X5 plug in hybrid. Will share my experience in a weeks time.
My GF bought rav4’s forever, I saw the venza in the showroom this time and suggested it to her, we took delivery this week nightshade edition ruby… as an M5 owner I’m extremely impressed by the looks, build and ride quality of the Toyota, with 40 mpg it’s probably the best suv you can get imo
Venzas are nice cars, I've been toying with the idea of maybe getting one. I wish my local Toyota dealers had more of them in stock, especially ones in LE trim, and more colors besides black, white, and dark gray.

This was my loaner car for 3 days, loved it. I travel a decent distance for work and this did fantastic on gas. The drive was responsive and smooth. I would have loved to get this one.
I have a 2010 Lexus RX450h with 310,000 km so far. It has a CVT “non shifting” transmission. It is ultra smooth and still gets about 8.5 l per 100 km (as good as 28. Mpg). We also have 2022 Sante Fe hybrid with a 6 speed traditional transmission. The CVT is a much better choice for a hybrid.
45mpg for an SUV that size is pretty damn insane. I hear the new Rav4's hybrids get pretty much the same mpg which explains why there are so many of them on the road.
We love our 2022 Venza. It's been to national parks right next to the Rav 4's. I might say it shares more with the Rav 4 than Camry but definitely see what you mean Scotty!
I just bought a new Toyota Venza and enjoy it very much. I wanted to purchase a fully electric car but turned to a hybrid due to high prices and concerns about battery repair costs for EVs. I was also considering Lexus but the comfort and quality of Venza are very close to Lexus and the price is more affordable.
I like the way they look, however I cannot get over the idea that Rav4s are cheaper and more roomy, specially in the backseat and the cargo area. But I do like the Venza interior Lexus-style. But since Rav4s are more roomy and cheaper, heck, I got a Rav4 hybrid.
Yeah and 4av 4 loud as heck, the sound deadening way better in venza, the venza is the harrier which is the Lexus 350 in Japan...rav 4 is the target Walmart version 9f the venza
I used to have a 2010 Venza AWD V6 glass roof it was fully loaded and had it for almost 8 years I did plenty of roads trips like we drove across the country from NY to SF back in 2013 plus went to Burning Man event camping ⛺ in the desert and winter of 2017 we down to Florida Al the way Keys West, Fl to the end of the road southernmost point 😎
I'm pretty sure lane assist works by the car sensing the painted lane solid or dotted lines. If there are no painted lines it won't kick it (neighborhood road etc). That's why it didnt "steer" on that curve by the tree because there wasn't a line on the right. (It's not really meant to steer you, just gradually push the vehicle back in the lane so it doesn't drift too far the wrong way)
Those safety systems assist the driver, not drive the car by itself. I've seen on my 2018 Corolla that if you take your hands off the wheel or too low, a warning message will pop-up to put your hands back on
Subaru might have been the first car sold in the USA with a CVT. They put it in their Justy, the least powerful car in their lineup, back in 1987! Anyway, they've had a lot more time to perfect it.
My understanding is that the Venza is more like an SUV version of the Corolla and that the Highlander is like an SUV version of the Camry. The Venza seems very over priced and cramped on the inside to me. All of the the above are based on the TNGA-K platform. I would compare the Venza to the RAV4 or the Honda CR-V which is like an SUV version of the Civic, but certainly not to the Camry which is a much longer car
The name “Venza” for a Japanese car has cracked me up for as long as this car has been around. The letter “V” doesn’t exist in the Japanese language. When a foreign word (English, Euro, Chinese, etc.) with the letter “V” in it is translated into Japanese, the letter is pronounced as the letter “B” so Venza would be pronounced as “Benza” in Japan. Benza means toilet seat in Japanese.
yes the tyre sensors on the new Toyotas are very poor all across the board. Funnily enough in the UK you will fail your MOT if one of the sensors are faulty. We have a Yaris less than a year old and the sensors are malfunctioning after 9 months from new. Really poor quality control in my opinion.
My son wants to sell his 2010 Toyota AWD and buy a new one. I’m going to have him consider buying this new Toyota AWD Venza. 45mpg, good handling and zippy is awesome!
The Venza is based on the Toyota Harriet sold in Japan but it still shares the platform with the Camry and Rav4, but uses the Sienna’s hybrid system. These have 243 total HP, the Camry and Rav4 208.
Wrong. it’s got the exact horsepower and torque as the rav4 hybrid. Which is 219 total horsepower, Same exact hybrid platform. Same battery as the rav4 The Camry on the other hand is tuned with less output at 208hp
Good call on diesel truck for towing, now you have to decide what diesel truck you want to buy. Scotty should do a video for diesel pickup trucks and then compare which are better for longevity and low maintenance costs.
Id like you to review the new toyota corolla cross hybrid. Its getting the new more powerful hybrid drivetrain from the Rav4/new Prius. Supposed to get high 40s/low 50 mpg. I think its intriguing because its like a little station wagon but smaller than most modern bloated crossovers SUVs. Reminds me of the old Prius V, a very very practical car and ideal size/space/performance ratio.
Does it come with safety features and crash avoidance to have those. Lane departure do we have what we need that way back up camera all kinda back up beeper’s do we have any kind of safety features that’s important real important
They have problem with the center console not closing and you have to replace the whole center console assembly. They also have recall for the rear turn signal
I recently purchased a Venza '21 LE with 44kmi.. The car is great overall, however, I noticed post-purchase that whenever I was backing up and applying the break an obvious mechanical clicking noise was heard. I took the car to T-Service and was told there was an issue with "spacers" and they ordered a "spacer kit"?? Does this sound right?
I have a Toyota Camry hybrid and I love the car but I hate the truck and the truck is wonderful. It’s just that I have a disability that makes it hard for me to pull things up and out I would much rather pull things straight over and into the wagon so now if they’re going to make the versa, I’m gonna go trade that in when I get back to my house I’m on a little vacation I want one of those definitely
Thing about diesel, in the US it is way more expensive than gas, never used to be ... you go overseas, the Philippines for example, diesel is much cheaper than gas and 90% (just guessing) of the vehicles there are diesel because of that, but to make your point yes the diesel is the best for towing or anything else for that matter
Scotty you don't need to say transmission because T stands for transmission. This means you are saying transmission. Just like you don't say ATM machine because the M stands for machine
toyota venza says 40 in city 37 in highway. actually it gives more than that, around 43/40 coz 2 of my friends are getting that.they had venza for more than a year. I order limited, Thanks for the video
I absolutely hate those stick up display screens. My '18 RAV4 XLE hybrid has the in dash screen and I like it so much better. Funny, I am a simple guy and in the five years my wife and I have owned this thing I never opened the sunroof or pulled the cover back. Most useless thing they ever put on a car. I have only used Reverse, Park and Drive in the transmission. Since I use a flip fone don't have the bluetooth connected. etc., etc. I finally figured out I paid about 10 grand for junk I never use.
@@joepierson3859 Maybe it's just me but those screens look cheap and an afterthought. My opinion and my opinion only, it may be the style for today but artistically it is not a cohesive design. I hope that makes sense.
I'm not a fan of the cuv like new Venza because the high riding wagon like old Venza just seemed so much more practical, and if they really wanted a cuv/suv like camry they could have simply gone with a rav4
The Symbol on the hood is "AUM", Generally as a Hindu we love our cars same as we love our family members, When we get new or used Vehicle we take it to the Mandir ( Temple) and do the rituals on it. And those dotes we called it a Tilak.
I looked at a Toyota Venza. Toyota makes a great durable reliable low maintenance mid size SUV. Plus I like the Hybrid. But so does the new Honda CRV Hybrid. Unfortunately Toyota Designers make the Ugliest cars for sale. The Venza front end, as well as most Toyotas look like a cat fish sucking a lemon. So I am buying the Honda CRV Hybrid. Why? Available and less cost. Toyota dealers are asking more than MSRP.

@@briantorres7339 Then I should buy harrier, if venza is based on that, We have more japanese car than international
That's Go ⭐ info✔️.
Wrong. it’s got the exact horsepower and torque as the rav4 hybrid. Which is 219 total horsepower, Same exact hybrid platform. Same battery as the rav4
The Camry on the other hand is tuned with less output at 208hp
Good call on diesel truck for towing, now you have to decide what diesel truck you want to buy.
Scotty should do a video for diesel pickup trucks and then compare which are better for longevity and low maintenance costs.
I have a bunch of dora max diesels they are way better than ford or Is dodge
Venza should have been mid size crossover but failed to do so hence makes rav4 even more enticing.
Scotty years ago, I worked on the steel mill shipping dept. I loaded up 18 wheelers, and the gas haulers got like 4 mpg vs. the diesel 8 mpg
I have 2005 camry it's still kicking 350000 miles. I've been checking this car out I need a good car I can mile up on a rural route.
The Highlander is good as well.
Huge fan uncle Scotty, for like 10 years now. Can you please do a friendly review on a 1st generation toyota rav4 💯🙏
From what Toyota says. The old Venza was based on the Camry chassis but the new Venza is a entirely new design with hybrid only
I bought one sligtly used. It did come upgraded with Taco John's fart smears. All of that good stuff!!
In your opinion, which car has better reliability, a Nissan 370z or a Toyota 86?
86
370z has gallery gasket issue because the OEM gasket is made out of cardboard, and very expensive parts.
Scotty.. I keep telling you.... It's a HYBRID ! NOT a Hybread !
Toyota Hydrogen Trucks would be a big competition against Tesla. That's if Toyota could build the infrastructure all over United States.
Scotty you don't need to say transmission because T stands for transmission. This means you are saying transmission. Just like you don't say ATM machine because the M stands for machine
Bring back wagons to the NA market! Asia has access to the wagon version of the accord, and Mazda 6 and they're BEAUTIFUL
Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel
That "dirt" on the hood of the car is an "Om" (in Devanagari).
toyota venza says 40 in city 37 in highway. actually it gives more than that, around 43/40 coz 2 of my friends are getting that.they had venza for more than a year. I order limited, Thanks for the video
Scotty is pure Toyota guy. He loves Toyota. Btw looks like Scotty got this Venza from his Indian friend or neighbor. Nice video Scotty.
Since I use a flip fone don't have the bluetooth connected. etc., etc. I finally figured out I paid about 10 grand for junk I never use.
lol if ur a weeed smoker, I would want to have the panoramic to lie down in the back with all the seats flat and smoke one while looking at the stars.
@@fightsandfinance7570 Well there you go. Make me an offer, in moola not weed please.
Yeah I hate the infotainment screen it looks like someone bolted a laptop on the dash
@@joepierson3859 Maybe it's just me but those screens look cheap and an afterthought. My opinion and my opinion only, it may be the style for today but artistically it is not a cohesive design. I hope that makes sense.
Seems to be the way of the world these days. A lot of useless Buck Rogers junk in an afterthought of a stick on screen.
7:31 watch as a lil green car goes so fast it's sent back in time
I like the Venza also, now they need to bring back the Crosstour.
I'm not a fan of the cuv like new Venza because the high riding wagon like old Venza just seemed so much more practical, and if they really wanted a cuv/suv like camry they could have simply gone with a rav4
My time on earth is over. GEE thanks Scotty finally someone paying attention . Thanks brother.
Sent me that one to Cyprus. Thank you. You are the best 🎉
Μήπως έρχεται Toyota Crown αμάξια εκεί ?
The Symbol on the hood is "AUM", Generally as a Hindu we love our cars same as we love our family members, When we get new or used Vehicle we take it to the Mandir ( Temple) and do the rituals on it. And those dotes we called it a Tilak.
Looking at getting a Nightshade version of the Venza. Getting out of a 19 Tundra SR5.
I like the way it looks but why do people call it an old person car?
Because old people know better (they had many years of making bad car buying mistakes :)
5:02 I have that exact same thing hanging in my rearview mirror
New Venza has very classy look. They are all hybrid.
They are not in full production. Only 1 in Covington LA and people had to wait their turn to test drive it.
“The Angels are coming to get you” HILARIOUS 😂🤣
Darn, you didn’t catch that green rabbit @7:32 !!
Why are the rear turn signals mounted so low on the rear bumper? Were they missed on the original design by Toyota engineers?
my rav4 hybrid sounds like a ufo in ev mode. Vensa is a pricer rav4, but not by much.
I hate the infotainment screens that jut out of the Dash board
Get an old Venza Limited with the 2GR-FE.
7:32 Was that a time traveling 🧭 Volkswagen Rabbit 🐇???😊
