You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). It's true she didn't perform all of Bohemian Rhapsody (the show format didn't really allow it) but listen to a few more of her many performances (120+ covers and original songs) and you will see her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You felt a little of that in this performance. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by herself on piano, or in front of a 100 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come.
Why God has performed the miracle of touching the world with one of such talent, musical IQ, commitment, and generosity as Angelina we can wonder but we must all marvel. Welcome aboard the AJ train! React to more of her! You won't be sorry.

When I discovered Angelina, I binged on her for AT LEAST a solid month. Chills, and emotional tears, for me too, and Im a 60 year old man. So dont be hard on yourself. If a person has a soul, it's going to respond that way.
You have just had your introduction to the most soulful, emotional vocalist of my 62 years. Insane to think that of a 13 year old but Angelina became a star in her native Norway at age 7 with her audition on Norway's Got Talent. Angelina is a music prodigy specializing in vocals but also plays piano, flute, violin and guitar. Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from age 6 through 13 spanning 80 different artists so there is plenty for you to discover. I like to say Angelina doesn't cover songs, she completes them. As talented as she is, she is an even better human being. Humble as the day is long and filled with empathy. Always performing barefoot until all children on Earth have shoes. She has already helped to raise millions of dollars for children's charities.

You have a new subscriber but BEWARE! This is a long comment. I hope you have the patience to read to the end. Thank you for discovering and reacting my favourite singer. Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version, Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heid Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".
My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven-year-old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7-year-old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on RUclips and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener.
As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with background music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world.
Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song, it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions

When she was 6 years old, she went on a trip to the middle east. She met a young girl that was a street vendor. This girl had no shoes and scars on her feet. They talked and the shared their dreams for the future. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina, and Angelina vowed never to wear shoes while performing. She has kept that vow to this day.

Thanks for your first very beautiful reaction to Angelina, Ferdy. I think it's really worth it, she is so unique, as a person and as an artist. I thinks that you can be impressed by the fact that Angelina at only 13 years old was able to face a challenge with such an iconic song as this and made her become her own song, with a fantastic reworking, a calm, powerful and terribly emotional interpretation and a great courage to take him to one of the most difficult audiences of the show. The best of Angelina ... is Angelina, 😆 🤗 She searched her way for her version of the song and chose the lyrics that fit. Simply, changing the times and the reading key, based on her ability to understand and elaborate the song which, for a girl of that age, is almost supernatural, she created HER Bohemia Rhapsody. She just loves singing and does it her way. ❤️
The 3 year old little girl in Norway had a dream, while watching the Talents on TV, to sing one day for Simon, I would say that after only 10 years she achieved it really well, she fascinated him, and not just him.
Angelina is not only what you saw in this perfect performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough

Thank you for the reaction Ferdy, and welcome to the Angelina Jordan family. When I watch a reactor, all I ask for is an honest effort to connect with the song. You clearly did that, and it came through in an honest, sincere, visceral, emotional and beautiful reaction. For a different kind of visceral reaction, I suggest her performance when she was 9 years old, of I Put a Spell on You ( ruclips.net/video/nwFloCPXzCs/видео.html ). Or alternatively, her first single under her new record label (Republic Records), Million Miles ( ruclips.net/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/видео.html ). "Where are your shooooes!" You are very cute! Others will explain why she wears no shoes when performing (she once performed outdoors at a Nobel Peace Price gala, in the the Norwegian winter, and still wore no shoes). There is a good reason and it reveals a lot about her heart.

Yep that was her family when you asked, and her mom grandmother and little sister are there. Her grandmother is the one that got up and looked super hyped and she is also the artist that made the artwork that she has on her clothing.

This performance was also my introduction to Angelina, some 7 or 8 months ago, and she immediately conquered me! I haven't been able to stop listening to her ever since, from her toothless performances at Norway Got Talent, to her newly released single, about 3 weeks ago, her first original under the recently signed contract with Republic Records, "Million Miles", with some 150 videos on RUclips in between.

Yves, she has to pass the "shock" phase first. Then settle in. Yves, for fun, there is a reactor named "Archos" (nice guy) who reacted recently to Angelina for the first time. He broke the record for quickest reaction! The music started. Angelina sang one (1) note and Archos stopped the video. Put his hands up to his head and said, "OMG, that voice!" He must have been pre-warned but he still couldn't believe what he heard!

She did not win the AGT Champions. I believe that it was not because somebody was better, but she would not sign a contract with the parent company of AGT. She is too young to sign herself and her parents are very protective. Her appearance was more of a demonstration of her abilities and AGT's desire to increase the ratings. If you watch her earlier videos, you will see why she was a seasoned performer years before being on this show.
