Interesting HIke up Phou Si Hill in Luang Prabang, Laos 4K

Only Steve wanted to climb Phou Si Hill in Luang Prabang, Laos as everyone else in our group was already hat and tired from a very active day. It was a very pleasant hike but hot. After our climb we treated ourselves to a refreshing fruit smoothie and a cramped tuk tuk ride back to the hotel. At the hotel I turned around and went back with others of our group to climb Phou Si Hill to catch the beautiful sunset. What an awesome day! September 17, 2016.

I was in Luang Prabang from 2013 to 2018. Had a great time. LPB is village-city, you know, so it’s nice; an old capital city of Lan Xang kingdom that becomes Laos today. I say people in those days certainly picked a nice place for their capital and kingdom. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video as it has picked up my memories again and again. It is really peaceful especially when walking amidst the cool morning breeze. The Phousi Mountain has about more than 300 stairways and takes quite a lot of physical energy for foreigners when “walking” up to the summit. I was there in 2017 and noticed the city mall was under construction ,and wonder about its progression.

The first time I was in Luang Prabang I heard a local guy asked me like this " hey do you want to go see the "pussy mountain"? I was shocked but found out later what it was. I couldn't help but just laugh.

Quaint adorable little town in Laos. Very quiet and the climate is cooler not as hot as in Vientiane

Northern Laos is much cooler than the south. It's not hot. That's why I like visiting Laung Prabang. I like to go hiking and be at peace with nature. There are many trails. So don't get lost.
