It was a pleasure watching the power and speed of Ohtani this season, If they walk him he'll steal a base, and if they pitch to him he'll hit a HR, Shohei turns a single into a double or sometimes a triple with a stolen base, either way it's a nightmare and a bad percentage for the pitchers, and when Shohei is on base he knows how to spot a ball their machanic and habits because he's a pitcher himself, Shohei's success rate in SBs shows this. I was devasated when he got injured and could'nt pitch this year, But to see his all around talent with speed and power and make history going 50-50 that's as great as it gets.
There are some stats and presidents that should not be ignored. Shohei: 1. Set the Dodger's all time record for Total bases in a season. 2. Founded the 50 HR and 50 SB club, and did that in a win that cliched a playoff birth for his team. 3. Got to 40/40 with a walkoff grand slam HR. 4. Was the first player after the steroid era with over 400 bases in a season. 5. Missed the hitting triple crown by .04 on his Batting average to a shiitty slap hitter called Louise Arrize. 6. Went on a Super clutch hitting spree in September and October where he went like 18-22 with runners on base.
Another great feat by the legendary Shohei Ohtani. Winning an MVP on both leagues. Last player to do that, was the great Frank Robinson. Next up, a cy young award? A triple crown on hitting? 60/60 club? The sky's' the limit with that man.
Judge and Ohtani had a great offensive season, the difference is Shohei also had one of the greatest stolen base seasons ever (59-4 94% also hit 54 HRs) and top it off with a World Championship
Both of these guys earned this during the regular season, which is a grind. An injury slowed down Ohtani and Judge's oops cost an out. These ones shouldn't define how they are overall. Its like a relay race, 3 guys hustle and bustled to get the fourth guy to come in first.
Ohtani to me is a better MVP than Judge, not just because of going 50-50 but the Dodgers had the most injuries on a team and Shohei carried the Dodgers to the best record in baseball. As individual hitter Judge was better with the War number, but ESPN showed a graph if people want to see a player's contribution to a teams win success look at WPA (Win Probability Added) is a baseball statistic that measures how much a player's value and actions contribute to a team's success of winning. WPA can help identify the key moments and major contributors in a game. It also shows which players had the biggest value, impact on a game and winning through the season. In 2024 Ohtani WPA=7.1 and cWPA= 5.6% Judge WPA= 6.1 and cWPA= 4.3% The ESPN panel all agreed Judge was a better hitter but Ohtani was a better MVP especially with all the injuries on the team and Ohtani carried the Dodgers all season and to the best record in baseball.
Bobby Witt is a great player, but best all-around?! Silly opinion. Can Bobby Witt pitch, let alone at a Cy Young-type level? No! But Shohei can play the field if the Dodgers needed him to. Shohei is a top 2 hitter (Judge), stole 50 bases, pitches at a high level, and can play the field. He also happens to own 3 unanimous MVP’s now, too. Shohei is and has been the best all-around player in the league for a while now.
WHO CARES IF JUDGE DOESN’T PLAY GOOD CENTERFIELD? THE WHOLE FRANCHISE HE COST THE GAME AND THEY LOST. OOPS. YEAH HE IS AN AMAZING HITTER. BUT YEAH. BYE HAHA

To add, the only player to win MVP unanimously 3 times.

I didn’t see Judges HR ball going for millions like Ohtanis
Just saying
many players have reached Judge's offensive numbers. But just 1 has reached the 50/50 club,
without doing his other role.

Wish Ohtani can stay healthy to acquire the Cy Young Award in 2025❤
I know right !

yup! Wait for the haters' reactions, when Ohtani starts pitching again.
He'll have 2 MVPs each, from both leagues. Never been done.

Yeah, this guy is a clown. No one can compare to the Unicorn.
He did say "in the league"
Boxing, NFL, NBA fan here. Because of one man who can both pitch and hit at such an elite level, I now tune into MLB
“Bobby Witt is the best all-around player in the league…”
LOL…
Othani Is The Goat 🐐🐐🐐🐐
Just let the stats decide. What's the point of having 30 voters if they just regurgitate the stats and have the same ballot
Stephen A. Smith would disagree but Ohtani had a great season!
Stephen A. Smith?¿? " Forget About It "!.
Where's Babe Ruth?
WHO CARES IF JUDGE DOESN’T PLAY GOOD CENTERFIELD? THE WHOLE FRANCHISE HE COST THE GAME AND THEY LOST. OOPS. YEAH HE IS AN AMAZING HITTER. BUT YEAH. BYE HAHA
I thought the same thing when he said "who cares" if Soto is a good fielder. He must not have seen the world series.
Error judge
that's cold bruh.
Getting pay million dollars....Judge should never take his eyes off on that baseball. @Dapper_Dean
Aaron Judge is the best ever!
Othani better than judge !
okay 'create a controversy' boy. Opinions doesn't trump facts...
@mommygarcia9137 i like both players, but Ohtani is better.
