    His name is Di Guoyong. He's a high ranking bagua and xingyi teacher in Beijing.

    I enjoyed watching your video, except for that skating-sliding step. My liaoshi says that step is wrong. It was forced on the Fan family by the communists. And it moves you outside of the structure of your body breaking bodily connection.

      I respectfully disagree, the sliding step is practiced extensively so that the martial artist not only does not break bodily connection, but actually that connection becomes stronger by virtue of the contraction-expansion that is required for it. The sliding step trains the whole body (all the way through the entire spine and arms, in addition to the legs of course), to be like a coil. I have been hit by such coiling punches in Bagua and in Chen Tai Chi and could feel the connection was really strong.

      Not all, but many! We start by circle walking in fixed postures. Search ding shi or ding shr baguazhang on here.
