The lighting in Sephora has been so bad for years. Even the employees will tell you to go to the front window to check swatches for skin tone matching because the lighting is so bad. I hope they fix that first.
There isn't a Sephora near me, so I go to Ulta. They know when im that looking for foundation or concealer, I'll grab a hand mirror and step outside to check a color match. I wait to see if the product is going to oxidize before checking in daylight.
When Jen started to talk about them changing the lighting I thought she was about to say it was so we could get a decent shade match but of course 🙄 it’s so “we” can get better pictures/videos for social media.
Charlotte tilbury reminds me of the couple that has a photo shoot once a month and then posts it all over social media to prove to everyone they’re so in love, while simultaneously they’re cheating on each other and everyone knows it. It’s just weird.
My oh so dear ex bf sister (we're the same age) we roomed together from 18-21, and that girl has sold everything from Mary Kay to Lulu row. Ugh I feel so bad for her as I never fell for it.
Same. Sadly, I was 19 and believed the lies I was told and took out a credit card to buy inventory. It took more than a decade for me to fix the financial damage it caused me. That put me behind on saving for retirement so I'll be affected by being scammed for the rest of my life. The executive behind these companies belong in jail.
What holds me back from using Sephora’s makeup artist services is the fact that they have to use samples to do your makeup, not that other people can see me. I wish they would give their employees kits that they maintain the hygiene of, rather than using the crusty samples that everyone can stick their fingers in 🤢
It’s a mix of both; they have stuff there only for the artists to use but if there’s a product that they don’t have they go and grab a tester and then scrape and sanitize it (still not crazy about it either tbh)
what i really would like is every sephora in the world, or any store for that matter, to have 2 types of baskets you can choose, one where you are open to employees approaching you and one that indicates i dont want any employee to talk to me XD
I Love this!! We need this in every store, I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I got my esthetician cert also and when I go into Sephora or Ulta I wish I had a sign I could pin on me that said “I don’t need help, I know more about this then probably most of the employees because I’ve been in the industry since most of the employees were in diapers.. I don’t mean all of them of course I know there are a lot of their employees who are very well versed, but I will say every single time I have asked a question in either chain store the employee doesn’t even know the answer.
I LOVE that Uber added a new feature. You can chose to have people talk during your trip or say nothing. Small talk makes me uncomfortable so I lovee it.
I do chargebacks for a living and that scam you were talking about happens a LOT with those Keto supplements. They’ll sell you Keto gummies for 9.99 shipping under one name then bill your card 250 every month under various other names. We block one merchant name then they switch it to another name. It’s bananas.
Being a Vietnamese-Chinese American woman, 1st generation, it was really inspiring and moving to hear about Amanda Nguyen's accomplishments and work with Elf. Thanks for bringing me that moment that I may not have come across otherwise Jen 🙂
Changing layout-if you have to go through every aisle and look at every single item to find what you want, you buy a LOT more. My supermarket does this every month and drives me crazy.
I don't know if this is a possibility where you live but here we have the option at some supermarkets to order stuff via internet and then just pick it up and hour later or so. It safes you a lot of time and money because you really only buy what you need.
Glad Sephora is making some changes! I have never liked their checkout line - the queue is such a closed in maze (it’s a small maze, but still). I am not particularly claustrophobic but weaving through that queue often makes me feel a bit trapped. As for the makeover spot - it did not bother me personally however I did think it was odd. I am surprised they had to study it to figure out there were folks who would avoid being put on display 😂
I had the mobile checkout experience and the brand new Sephora in my neighborhood. It makes sense if you're just going in for one or two things, not if you have a basket full.
Charlotte tilberys “it’s for everybody, everywhere” is simply not true. Exactly what you said, it’s not in certain peoples price point. The dupes aren’t far off enough to justify the jump in price. She’s out of touch with reality.
I think one of my Sephoras was a test store for the new model. The lighting has been significantly improved and another local Sephora has the makeup services off to the side of the store.
Wow, I love love LOVE the Elf commercial. If every makeup commercial was like that...just imagine! I love that they centered Amanda and her story and that the makeup was shown basically to support what she's already doing and who she already is. Powerful. Speaking of ads I didn't mind the Charlotte Tilbury ad. I thought it was cute! Sometimes you do have to remind people of the badass you are. And even hero products fall away if they're not marketed. Great show this morning!
I work at an Ulta that's an "FES", Full experience store layout, where we have a beauty bar in the middle of the store and our registers are at the back by the salon and it has not been well received by our guests. They're very confused by the registers not being where they've always been in an Ulta. I like it but the customer response has been mostly negative
It seems like that arrangement would encourage any would-be shoplifters ... walking aallll the way back to the exit with a nice, open bag to drop something(s) into.
100% I'm a sephora employee and checking out clients right after we're done helping them is the best way to make the client feel comfortable and have an enjoyable shopping experience
I totally got scammed by one of those, “just pay for shipping” deals, where they then started charging me ridiculous prices for crap I did not sign up for. So long ago, can’t remember exactly what it was for; probably under the umbrella of this scam you’re speaking of. They caught me when I was desperate for whatever it was they were selling. I went off on these people (in the most respectful/profesh way of course), got my bank involved, didn’t let up until they knew they had a problem…money refunded, nvr heard from again. I’m rarely that assertive but don’t mess with the little bit of money I have!!!! Anyway, appreciate your coverage of this. Totally resonated with me😊
Sephora's plans sound too little too late. They all sound like things you should have been taking more seriously over time rather than just rolling out adjustments now.
I don't mind the Charlotte Tilbury ad because she spoke in a normal tone and faced the camera rather than only show her "good side." I don't feel any way about her calling out duping as long as she drops the exhausting persona.
There used to be a storefront on Oxford street in London where Cockney salesmen would talk up products, kind of a live QVC. Charlotte Tillbury reminds me of those Oxford Street hawkers and like she’s trying to sell me the latest infomercial product.
I cannot remember how dear Robert put it (we’re all Twins’ fans, correct?), but he very politely said something that made me think Charlottttte is mean AF irl
So far, all these sephora changes seem super logical. I work in a large library system and all of our library layouts and programs are different based on what our neighborhoods need. I also find it contributes to organic interactions when people unfamiliar with the branch come in for the first time, because they actually do need help finding things and then you can start asking about their preferences, rather than them brushing you off because they already know where everything is. For a large store like a grocery store with insufficient staffing, it would be a nightmare for customers, but for a smaller boutique style store like sephora it will probably result in increased sales.
I can’t believe in 2025 anybody would try to start an MLM company. I think that consumers are so much more educated about these types of companies than ever before it’ll be interesting to see how long this one is around for
Why is Rednote acceptable to the US government while TikTok is not? If both are storing data on servers in China, wouldn't Rednote be as much of a 'national security risk' as TikTok? And to grow your business on that platform, you have to hire a Chinese influencer instead of one in the US? How does any of this make sense?
It’s not as popular, but really it’s not about data protection they just didn’t like that they didn’t have an American monopoly on social media anymore
The before picture in the Halo ad doesn't even prove it's the same person! I hope people think twice before doing this. Thanks as always for your research and common sense!
The deal with Charolotte Tillbury... her attitude and her presentation puts me off. I don't buy things from people I don't like and from what I've seen, I don't like.
I have never purchased Charlotte Tilbury due to it being expensive and I have tried a lot of products for cheaper and never felt like I needed to try them.
My town has an outdoor mall. It’s so cute. Reminds me of small towns and their Main Street shops. I love going to malls and trying things on before purchasing. I don’t know if it’s the GenX in me but it’s a nice afternoon out of the house. It is sad more people stay at home shopping on line. We get less and less in person engagement as the years roll along.
lol we have a couple of those & up in Montana, we talk to each other. I honestly go to Costco for the socializing, if I need adult conversation, I inevitably get into a big group discussion somewhere. I shop a lot online for physical reasons (I’m very frail, hard to move all the bags and things) but I try to get out a few times a week just to stay human. I’m a caregiver for my elderly mom so I absolutely need my shopping time, even if I buy nothing. I’m so grateful that I live where people do interact with strangers, I know it bugs tourists so much, but it’s nice to have momentary friends & share a little slice of our lives. Not doing anything else in line anyway…
Me too. More people buy online now and the shopping mall is kinda going away. It may be the genX thing for me too. I hardly ever order anything online. Most people do though and it is kinda sad. That’s how we get to feeling so lonely, I think.
@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory Ur a great person for caring for ur mom. Not all people will or can do that. I just wanted to share some info with u, if u don’t mind. If ur mom has Medicare, she probably has respite care where u can get three days off to do things and either someone takes care of her or a facility will. U can call the number on the her insurance card and see anyway.
My mom sold Lilla Rose for years (not LulaRoe and no affiliation) and they’re an MLM that has recently switched their marketing system from independent sellers as well… seems like a lot of MLMs are starting to go down
I own a retail store and she is not wrong, in my town where I’m the only one who sells the specific things that I do in person I’m barely making it because people don’t leave their houses and just buy online.
One of the sephoras near is me so packed, it takes forever to pick up an online order. They would need 3x the employees for that check out model. Crazy.
How much more powerful, effective and positive was the Elf ad versus the CT ad!! Imagine if she used her platform to have an empowering message or inspiration to people rather than worrying about being “the original” or whatever it was lol maybe more people would buy and feel connected to the brand if that was the focus.
You are quickly becoming my MUST WATCH YT channel after stumbling upon you! I love your energy and the realness about you! Most of all...I appreciate that you do so much heavy lifting for us by gathering ALL the information and not just skimming the top! The fact that you read the terms of service is EVERYTHING and you have now made this something that I will ALWAYS look at and teach my own kids and friends to do the same....or tell them they can just come over here and watch your channel and find out this way!! Thank you so much and I look forward to The Ordinary content that you have been working so hard on!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕
I shopped in person in Sephora this week and the points and samples stuff is what I hated about it. SOOOO much more stuff available online for my points or for free samples! It made me vow to only shop online from Sephora
As I was watching the CT ad I was like, "she should ignore the dupes and her products can speak for themselves." Then you were like, let the products "speak for themselves." I still want to try perhaps one of her lipsticks.
As a visually, impaired person, navigating around Sephora, and sometimes Ulta Gambi hard because of how narrow some of the areas could be. I even had to watch out with wearing one of my.Ita bags or small backpacks as my purses when it comes to use on the displays if they have a glass bottle. I wish they could at least win the areas to make it easier to walk in. But at least they’re making the check out a little bit more simpler so I could just find an employee to do it with.
Honestly when you went to say the completion year, I thought to myself 2027 my jaw almost dropped at 2030. At most I would have thought 2028. That company not letting you opt out of them contacting you makes me incredibly angry and I think it’s crap.
I like the idea of changing the checkout process in sephora but I do wonder if their sales will see a major dip in travel products because that's what's usually near the checkout. People tend to impulse but those products while waiting in line so I expect those sales to drop.
I actually don’t mind the new Charlotte Tilbury advert. However, this should have been the advert she put out first after discovering brands were duplicating her. Hopefully, this is the last one she does. The message is clear and stands on its own. If the adverts were entertaining like Aldi v Marks & Spencer’s that would be one thing. But they’re not. Her adverts are making people eye roll. 🙄 She doesn’t need to do anything more or she’ll start looking unhinged and obsessed.
I like the ad. But I do understand what everyone's feeling about the approach. I think that Charlotte Tilbury needs to continue to do ads but maybe use other people as product verifiers people who could be the brand ambassadors people who could give their own true testimonials and say her thing works it always has worked it still does work the quality is phenomenal etcetera. Maybe she doesn't need to be in the center of the add maybe she can put a punch on to it with just a look at the end like..." I am who I am" or a voiceover that says the product speaks for itself.
I used to work in the dispute department for a bank and we would get calls for those types of subscriptions all the time! What was really hard is that in most cases the site would open a new tab with all the hidden terms making it hard for the customer to see and go back to after everything was said and done
Also RE: Charlotte Tilbury....The whole celebrity aspect of branding (be like a celebrity, aspire to look rich and famous etc..) is not appealing AT ALL to me (and honestly is OUT for 2025).
wow! the woman who’s the focus of that elf ad is amazing. it’s really nice to see attention being brought to her. makes me think better of elf for sure
well first off regarding Sephora.. maybe if the staff members didn't assume everyone was stealing and 10 year olds were not crowding every display, more of us would probably be inclined to go in person more frequently.. lol.. I do agree with moving the services. I got my hair done at Ulta once and it was such a nice experience to be tucked back and just be able to hang out without being observed the whole time. lastly: it was the "yes bitch!" at the end for me. You're so cute, Jen!🖤
Wow! You look amazing in your makeup look today. Also, the elf campaign is good. Amanda Nguyen is so inspiring and their new slogan is actually clever.
Thank you for the report I look forward to it every week 🙂 you look beautiful as always and I noticed you said you replaced the bear ears. Where did you get them?
Jen, please do a dive on Young Living, they have a questionable past. Their founder in my opinion, was crazy. They claim superiority in their oils, many of which were found to be subpar.
I thought brick and mortar was dying but it was wall to wall people in the mall two weeks ago. But yes on improving the lighting. It distorts all the colors of everything!
Charlotte Tilbury is giving the same vibes as the original beauty blender and how they were constantly shading other brands who sold much cheaper versions that weren’t $20 for a freaking sponge.
I can't go to sephora anymore bc of the smell of perfumes. It's so strong I just can't. Depends on the sephora but the store near my home and work are horrible
Thank you for flagging the cruelty free issue with Red Note. Good to know. A bit of balance on censorship though: 1. Using different words for vagina is hardly different to other social media where I hear "unalived", "SA'd", "corn" on a regular basis. 2. The US taking down TikTok is at least partly driven by the need to control political narratives & keep billionaires sweet.
Where I live, they don’t have a Sephora until recently when they finally put one into a Kohl’s. I still have never been, but I hope to change that one day. I don’t know why going into Sephora in Ulta beauty cause me anxiety. They’re just always so hectic and busy and you have so many choices. It gets overwhelming, especially when you’re a beginner at make up and don’t know what’s any good and you’re on a very strict limited budget.
I used to work at Sephora and the changes were already trying to be implemented when I was there. The idea with having the Beauty Advisors with devices on the floor was so you could finish the experience; for example if you were doing a makeup service at the Beauty Studio then when you were done and upsold products to your client you could just use your device to check them out instead of sending them to the register. Also if you were just helping a client on the floor and they're ready to check out you can finish their shopping experience with you by checking them out with your device. I've seen this idea do better in newer stores (my store was about 10 years old when I left vs my local store which is about 2 years old). The new stores have new gondola designs also so I guess they're going to give all the stores the same newer concept? I dunno, seems expensive to me
The sephora news is so interesting, just last week a Sephora near me closed and says in the window it''s undergoing an update, I wonder if that's this!
29:59 I just wanted to point out that the US did ban TikTok partly (in my opinion, fully) because they wanted to censor political content (a lot of people were pro-palestine on there)! Also, I realise a lot of americans aren't taught this in school, but communism/capitalism/socialism are just economic models for a country, on the other hand, authoritarianism, fascism and democracy for example are models of distribution of political power, and countries can for example be capitalist and authoritarian, or communist and democratic! Meaning that communism does not automatically equal censorship! Just wanted to inform a little, I realise there's a lot of propaganda in the US :(
Except we're not talking about the idea of communism. We're talking about the CCP, the same government who still denies the Tienamen Square massacre, who are still running concentration camps of ethnic Chinese people, who insist on having access to every single private business in China.
TikTok was under the threat of a ban way before a lot of the pro Palestinian content came around on the platform. They have nothing to do with each other.
I agree the whole “they can’t steal my DNA” and so on from Charlotte Tilbury is getting OLD. Admittedly I do buy the dupes bc she is so far out of my price range. Some of us just cannot afford her products no matter how many years experience she has or how good of an MUA she is or how nice her products are 🤷♀️ she’s turning ppl off with these ads tho. Move on already. I also was a victim of the “pay only for shipping” for weight loss supplements. I thought it was a good deal. Now I’m one that reads EVERYTHING, especially the fine print. NOWHERE did it say I would be subscribed or signed up for anything at all. But sure enough the next month over $100 was taken from my account. I never did get it back. Very frustrating! Love your what’s up in makeup! Thank you for always keeping us updated on the latest 😊 have a great Sunday! 💖
thank you for talking about the rednote stuff hahaha 😂 i’m a chinese user (from singapore) and i use rednote as my personal makeup/nail art pinterest board! recently my feed has been invaded by white boy thirst traps and it has been driving me nuts T.T
I happened to like many CT products, but isn't it the most sincere form of flattery to dupe something anyhow elf and CT are very different and have a very different audience I would assume but I think she's making plenty of money
I'm glad Sephora is working to survive. One of my absolute favorite things for a self date is to go over to the mall, get coffee, walk around JCPenney and Sephora. I've always liked the soft lighting in Sephora because it keeps the energy a little bit more relaxed. So I wish they wouldn't change that. But I've heard people complain about the color matching issues that lighting gives. Our local store has already moved the service area to one side and I have to agree, that's nice. Considering those stores are usually kind of tight so less traffic jams this way.
I don’t mind the Tilbury ads. I feel she has to do them to help keep selling her products, like every other brand does, and she wants to state hers are better. Nothing wrong with that.
Charlotte Tilbury needs to realise that the people who are buying the Dupes are doing so because they can't afford her products. She is starting to sound desperate with these ads and needs to focus on her adverts on the people who can afford them.
I work in a professional beauty supply store that carries Amika and they have even taken the mirrorball shampoo off their set! Thank you for sharing this video with us. My favorite video of the week ❤
I love the makeup look it’s gorgeous and I appreciate all the hard work you put into the videos and I appreciate your honesty❤❤ everyone be safe out there😊😊
Sephora has been trying to use those stupid mPOS devices since like 2012. I haven’t worked there since mid-2021 but I hear that they are still a major PITA. We always had them crashing, losing signals, it was frustrating to try to bag stuff up without a desk or print a receipt if someone didn’t want it emailed. It’s harder to type on them or do a basic customer look-up, and honestly a lot of people didn’t trust them. Also, for every store looking different - sounds like a merchandising NIGHTMARE. Efficiency and economics are going to go out the window because you’re going to have to tailor everything to an individual store. I’m skeptical.
Sephora closed their brick and mortar store near me. It was in a dying mall so I'm hoping they relocate. Now there is only a Sephora at Kohls. That means I can't return anything I order online. I have one CT product, Pillow Talk lipstick. I was not blown away.
Once again, Jen is proving how AMAZING & IMPORTANT her videos are. I was watching this while cleaning my house and the recall on the Amika shampoo product caught my attention as I got it through a FabFitFun box. I probably wouldn't have heard of this recall otherwise. I just submitted my claim through the Amika form. Thanks Jen!
I'm genuinely curious as to who started the trend/decided that Red Note is the best alternative for TikTok. Red Note's a whole lot more tied to the CCP, so is this migration a big middle finger to the US government?
@@annamendoza3479 That's EXACTLY what it is! Moving to RedNote is to show that the TikTok ban has ZERO to do with "foreign interference" when Meta has been proven OVERWHELMINGLY to be the company that takes our info and sells it to the highest bidder- foreign or domestic.
When you said that’s not the worst TOS you’ve seen I was gagged…. Thank you SO much for informing people on this type of stuff. I’m huge into fragrance and I might have fallen victim!! Also I’ve noticed that Sephora has started having a lot of products that you can’t buy online anymore… in store purchase only. Sucks for people like me who don’t live anywhere near a full Sephora store
Charlotte Tilbury looks desperate with her new ad - she needs to focus on product development and ignore the "dupes" altogether. Sephora needs to focus on training their employees on what makes good customer service and on their priduct lines - every time I go inside a store, I want to walk right back out because you can't get decent help.
for me the Sephora problem is they think good customer service means approaching you right as you walk in, and when you refuse help they make faces then stare at you the whole time you're browsing 🙄 sometimes I don't even know what I want, I just want to walk in and look if anything sparks interest without them trying to "help" me repeatedly 🤷♀️ I'll ask when I need help otherwise they're wasting my time
to add about MLMs: *majority of any money to be made is via recruiting huns to their downline instead of the actual products, which makes them the MLM's primary customer base*
In regards to Sephora, two things stand out to me: 1 I am based in New Zealand and we have at least two Sephora stores that I know of. Neither of which I can get to so rely on Online Ordering. Trouble is, every single time I want something, it is out of stock. 2 In Singapore last year, I was waiting in line to check out, all cashiers were busy and I was the only one in line at that time. A Sephora Assistant came up to me, took me out of the check out line and to the side. She then proceeded to check me out with her phone. Everything was handled with her phone including GST receipt, product receipt and Sephora card. Once done, I went on my merry way. This was a pleasant experience! Sephora NZ (and Singapore) is different from the US. We don't have access to all the brands you do and we certainly don't get the specials or some of the Sephora mini boxes that the US has. Makes me sad :(.
Every company which has to explain why they're not an MLM is in fact an MLM.
and mlms are just legalized pyramid schemes!
I would love no music and daylight lights. I could actually think clearly, but maybe that is the point. Confuse and daze. Lol
It's a marketing strategy. They use soft lights so you can't see your flaws and will want to buy it. It's PAINFUL to color match.
I just left Ulta and they’re lighting is not much better lol
When Jen started to talk about them changing the lighting I thought she was about to say it was so we could get a decent shade match but of course 🙄 it’s so “we” can get better pictures/videos for social media.
Charlotte tilbury reminds me of the couple that has a photo shoot once a month and then posts it all over social media to prove to everyone they’re so in love, while simultaneously they’re cheating on each other and everyone knows it.
It’s just weird.
this made me laugh!! So true 😂
Yes she’s giving off inadequacy vibes. Put that potion in a bottle Charlotte darling.
Or the men that have to announce every 10 seconds that they're "a nice guy!" Lmao like dude if you have to talk about it, you're not 😭😂
Friends don't let friends join MLM's. 93% will fail.

something jen didn’t seem to mention about MLMs is the recruitment aspect as well.
Mary Kay is almost cultish if that's a word.
What holds me back from using Sephora’s makeup artist services is the fact that they have to use samples to do your makeup, not that other people can see me. This has been fixed. They used only makeup from their own kit on me.

That’s gross I agree

Totally agree, that itself would be more incentive to go in store rather than take a shot online to me

Like Costco! Haha
Charlotte Tilbury’s new 9 pan eyeshadow palettes look like every drugstore K beauty palette right now, I’m not sure why she thinks she’s original
The same cheap palette as Dior 9 pans lol, when I saw that I was 😬
I just looked, it looks like old Revlon palettes for $60?😮😮😮
They look like the Wet N' 'Wild mini pallets too. Don't complain about dupes and then make packaging that look like drugstore dupes!
Glad Sephora is making some changes! I have never liked their checkout line - the queue is such a closed in maze (it’s a small maze, but still). I find it fascinating how many MLM companies are started in Utah. Utah is a strange place with a closed type community and MLM's thrive there.
What a nice way to say that 😂. Young Living has a weird backstory and knowing the founders are descendants of Brigham Young… I’m not surprised.
It's because of the Mormons.
It is because of the Morman Religion, there is a huge link between Mormonism and MLMs.

I had the mobile checkout experience and the brand new Sephora in my neighborhood. It makes sense if you're just going in for one or two things, not if you have a basket full.
As I was listening to CT making her list of what her products have, I said to myself that she needed to add, " We don't have an affordable price."
Charlotte tilberys “it’s for everybody, everywhere” is simply not true. Exactly what you said, it’s not in certain peoples price point. The dupes aren’t far off enough to justify the jump in price. She’s out of touch with reality.
plus WOC has been consistently excluded from her shade range. She’s not for anyone other than cishet yt women
"Just a Mom in her basement" I bust out laughing every time
I hate shopping at my local Sephora so much that I started just buying stuff directly from the products websites. Its been way better for me.
@@starryskies214 oh!!!! I haven’t seen that!! Registered still at front but a store did to remodel with registers in the middle. It’s really pretty!!!
Idk, it’s always so packed when I got in there.
Right? I feel like by 2030 everything will be online lol
I don't mind the Charlotte Tilbury ad because she spoke in a normal tone and faced the camera rather than only show her "good side." I don't feel any way about her calling out duping as long as she drops the exhausting persona.
Yeah I thought it was pretty good and professional
There used to be a storefront on Oxford street in London where Cockney salesmen would talk up products, kind of a live QVC. Charlotte Tillbury reminds me of those Oxford Street hawkers and like she’s trying to sell me the latest infomercial product.
DARLINGS
I cannot remember how dear Robert put it (we’re all Twins’ fans, correct?), but he very politely said something that made me think Charlottttte is mean AF irl
Sales are likely down, I don’t blame her for speaking to it. Mco is cray.
How does any of this make sense?
legislation is always behind
RedNote is just unknown. They'll catch up and set TikTok as the precident for national security.
Itsnot that one is better, its that one is bigger. They cant preemptively ban all security risks bc they literally cant know about them all.
It’s not as popular, but really it’s not about data protection they just didn’t like that they didn’t have an American monopoly on social media anymore
The before picture in the Halo ad doesn't even prove it's the same person! I hope people think twice before doing this. Thanks as always for your research and common sense!
I bet Hannah Alonzo is going to love researching about Wild Notes! LOL
Ooooh true! I cant wait
@@amberjewel_beauty it’s actually pretty great- I’m using her foundation and eye make up for my wedding because it lasts and looks awesome
@@standdownrobots_ihaveoldglory
Ur a great person for caring for ur mom. Not all people will or can do that. I just wanted to share some info with u, if u don’t mind. If ur mom has Medicare, she probably has respite care where u can get three days off to do things and either someone takes care of her or a facility will. U can call the number on the her insurance card and see anyway.
I like this too!! But tbh I never buy anything. I just look, try on but idk. Online shopping is just more affordable unfortunately
Hi Jen, I never really noticed your eye color before, but in this tutorial, I saw them and they are BEAUTIFUL!!!
As I was watching the CT ad I was like, "she should ignore the dupes and her products can speak for themselves."
Then you were like, let the products "speak for themselves."
I still want to try perhaps one of her lipsticks.
they are extremely non-inclusive
I find her lipstick really settles in my lip lines

As a visually, impaired person, navigating around Sephora, and sometimes Ulta Gambi hard because of how narrow some of the areas could be. I even had to watch out with wearing one of my.Ita bags or small backpacks as my purses when it comes to use on the displays if they have a glass bottle. I wish they could at least win the areas to make it easier to walk in. But at least they’re making the check out a little bit more simpler so I could just find an employee to do it with.
97% of MLM workers lose money.
Honestly when you went to say the completion year, I thought to myself 2027 my jaw almost dropped at 2030. At most I would have thought 2028. That company not letting you opt out of them contacting you makes me incredibly angry and I think it’s crap.
I love that Sephora’s going to have employees walking around with devices to check u out. My Sephora always has a long line at the checkout currently
She doesn’t need to do anything more or she’ll start looking unhinged and obsessed.
I love what Elf are doing. Amanda’s story is fabulous.
This is how you promote your brand! Take note Charlotte T!!
So glad you made this video!!!! Also, excited about your next part 2 video series
During the astronaut segment I was bawling. What an incredible woman! Amanda, thank you. Safe travels. THANK YOU ELF!
Yesssssss
wow! the woman who’s the focus of that elf ad is amazing. it’s really nice to see attention being brought to her. makes me think better of elf for sure
well first off regarding Sephora.. maybe if the staff members didn't assume everyone was stealing and 10 year olds were not crowding every display, more of us would probably be inclined to go in person more frequently..
The thing that made me rethink Sephora was their snotty sales associates! But I live in Southern California, so that may have been the problem.
i think that’s a nation wide problem …
Thank you for the report I look forward to it every week 🙂 you look beautiful as always and I noticed you said you replaced the bear ears. Where did you get them?
NGL that new check out process sounds really good. The long lines do sometimes make me walk out and just order online after I've eyed everything.
Jen, please do a dive on Young Living, they have a questionable past. Their founder in my opinion, was crazy. They claim superiority in their oils, many of which were found to be subpar.
Is this the one where the guy drowned his newborn?
I dislike trying to look at the mini items if I don’t want to stand in a long check out line at Sephora.
I for real said at the beginning of this video, Jen’s make up is stunning today. I wonder what she used. I love that you do this every week! Love it.
Also, you look soooo good today! The makeup is ON POINT and you blouse complements it all so well. Love, love, love! 😊❤
I dunno, seems expensive to me
That elf commercial gave me the chills! Wow! What a bad ass chick!!!
THIS^^^^^
I LOVE that e.l.f. commercial! Thank you for sharing it. I don’t see these commercials anywhere except on your channel. ???
RedNote is even more dangerous than TikTok on a security note.
Those brand gondolas in the front of the store makes me feel like I’m not allowed to touch anything and I don’t know why!
thank you for talking about the rednote stuff hahaha 😂 i’m a chinese user (from singapore) and i use rednote as my personal makeup/nail art pinterest board! recently my feed has been invaded by white boy thirst traps and it has been driving me nuts T.T
Which is so weird she sold her brand.. she just kept her foot in enough to cultivate new products.. is how I understood it.🤷🏻♀️
Charlotte Tilbury needs to realise that the people who are buying the Dupes are doing so because they can't afford her products. She is starting to sound desperate with these ads and needs to focus on her adverts on the people who can afford them.
Never seen a Sephora that does hair ? . Phoenix has had those check out devises for years. You do have to go to n the counter to do a return tho.
Love the look and the colorpop collection. I also really enjoyed the elf add.
I love the changes Sephora is making! Actually spending money to research what customers actually want is how companies can ensure their longevity!
Looooove the makeup look today!❤❤❤
This was such an excellent video!! Loved it 😊
Sephora closed their brick and mortar store near me. It was in a dying mall so I'm hoping they relocate. Now there is only a Sephora at Kohls. That means I can't return anything I order online.
I have one CT product, Pillow Talk lipstick. I was not blown away.
Ive been using rednote for 2 days and the chinese are soooo nice. The makeup girlies are SO pretty and talented
Thanks Jen!
38:55 goose bumps.
ELF outclassed Charlotte Tilbury, now, didn’t they?
I'm genuinely curious as to who started the trend/decided that Red Note is the best alternative for TikTok. Red Note's a whole lot more tied to the CCP, so is this migration a big middle finger to the US government?
@@annamendoza3479 That's EXACTLY what it is! Moving to RedNote is to show that the TikTok ban has ZERO to do with "foreign interference" when Meta has been proven OVERWHELMINGLY to be the company that takes our info and sells it to the highest bidder- foreign or domestic.
Probably as I've seen a number of Americans on RedNote say they're learning Chinese and cussing out the US govt in Mandarin 😂

that’s what everything i’ve seen points to lol
Ok take into the fact I’m in a migraine cycle but the Elf ad brought tears to my eyes. 😢😅
I am FUMING at The Ordinary, The prices here in Aus are outrageous, same as high end, unaffordable. Shame on them!
You’re very glowy and lovely in this video! I think the contrast of the cream shirt to your dark hair is a good choice!
I went to my local Ulta and wandered into the clearance section and took notice to all of their “Beauty Counter “ merchandise was on clearance.
In regards to Sephora, two things stand out to me:
1 I am based in New Zealand and we have at least two Sephora stores that I know of.
