*GLAMLITE UPDATE* - Miah posted a response to Gisselle's post on a second TikTok account, "neverbothered101". Previously on that account, Miah posted personal updates and reviewed products from Jeffree Star Cosmetics and a few independent beauty brands that I didn't recognize. This morning Miah posted a new video saying that Glamlite should post the receipts of the refunds and the shipping of the free lip kits. Glamlite has posted the receipts to their TikTok account. You can watch everything here: www.tiktok.com/@glamlite/video/7464755610790169899?lang=en Since Glamlite's response, Miah has deleted her second TikTok account.
@@jenluv This has proven exactly what I thought. Miah did not think the brand would defend themselves at any point. She just wanted to go viral. That’s why when Glamlite initially posted the screenshots Miah deleted her account so she could think. Then when she realized that would need to post receipts to prove they refunded her, she likely thought they didn’t still have them and this could go in her favor again. When that didn’t happen she deleted again. She will come back with a new account, never address the situation, and when someone brings it up she will ask them why are they bringing up an old situation.
@@imallthatglittersyes that crazy cow also sells lip gloss!! Mia you are a terrible person for what you did!! You could have had poor people hurt!! I would never support a crazy ass like her!!!
That's what I was going to say. Like handle it like an adult, send a message to the brand and communicate. I just don’t know how brands deal with this bs
I just wanted to stick up for Ms. Giselle real quick, with a personal story - back when the pandemic hit and we were all out of work, or a lot of us were - I was on twitter, looking around, trying to distract myself. Came across a tweet from either Ms Giselle or GL - and I said how I wish I could afford to try their products, they looked great. Giselle ALMOST IMMEDIATELY responded to me, asked me to message her, and she created a $50 gift card on her site, for me. She just wanted me to have a chance to try her stuff and to have a happy moment during a shit storm. There were no strings attached. That was it. It was the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me. And I’ll never forget it, nor will I ever get rid of the products. I love GL and I have been a customer, ever since. The internet wasn’t created for people to call out businesses and individuals for minute shit, and it’s a shame what Miah tried to do.
The glamlite customer lost any creditability in my eyes when she poured milk on the products in the trash can. She's just throwing an unnecessary tantrum at that point.
Definitely! It's ok to complain and be unsatisfied with a product, even if the brand sends you more but you don't want them - give them away. But the waste and the MILK. That's too much.
All I could think when I saw the video was 'where does she think the stick goes'? Those sticks don't have spring mechanisms and you wouldn't want them to because then you couldn't get the product on the brush, or doe foot, or whatever it's called.
Mía exaggerated the entire situation with Glamlite…. and it seems it was all for clout. There should not have been any death threats to Giselle over some lip glosses … and Glamlite was extremely generous with sending her 18 lip kits … she should have said that instead of just showing her throwing them away. The TikTok ban was complete nonsense and manipulation.
oh she obviously took those out of that otherwise empty and clean trash can afterwards, she’s doing this all for attention and a person like her would never not take advantage of this
@@SugarFreeBubbleTea Agreed. I think she kept the lip glosses and threw out the boxes. She is a selfish, clout chaser who was sending hate to a brand even after she knew about her getting death threats. Come on, girl, do better is what I want to say to her. I’m not on TikTok but to put someone thru this to go viral on TikTok? U gotta have mental problems.
More lying customers need to be called out and shamed publicly like this. you don't realise as small business owners how much we have to deal with lately, people making things up and think they can destroy you with unfair bad reviews.
@@marionnelly1607 if miah got money from tiktok for that, it will continue to happen. If TT took action and did not monitor monetize those types of videos and only gave money to people who actually create something, not just rant & create drama that type of behavior would disappear.
Tbh, a situation has never left me with a better impression of a company. I’ve a had a neutral opinion of Glamlite thus far, but this gives me a great idea of who is behind the company and I like her.
They really are an incredible brand with quality products. I recently had an issue with an order my son bought me for Christmas, packaged during the start of the Wildfires. My PR Display box arrived empty, and I sent CS an email. Once I found out through people in a makeup forum I'm in that they were in the evac area, I sent an email stating what happened and to only reply when it's safe to do so. They apologised and offered refund/replacement. I just got the replacement a few days ago.
I feel like Mia turned a customer service issue into a way to go viral. She is the epitome of how people don’t realize that their online actions have real world consequences. She should be ashamed.
Giselle's team answered their messages faster than half my friends! Mia just wanted her moment in the spotlight. I hope she's happy that it came at the expense of an entire team's safety and well-being.
That person throwing out the product like that is just trashy. I’m sorry but wtf was that? Even if you’re mad at a company, what does wasting product do for you or anyone? Also, thanks for being a trustworthy source for information and being responsible with what you put out there. We need more of that. It’s so important for people to fact check and not speak outside of their scope of knowledge.
@@OG_Fuzzybubbles came here to say exactly this. That looked so performative. Show me you opening the boxes and dumping the glosses they sent you because you failed to mention you basically received 18 glosses for free as a reward for being disingenuous
Same way I felt when that black girl from tik tok, was destroying things Patrick sent to her because she didn't get paid. It was incredibly rude, wasteful and unprofessional. People need to learn how to convey their frustrations in a productive way. It's almost like these influencer don't realize what they're doing is a privilege, not a right. Without the fans support, they're not going to be making much or going anywhere 🤦🏾♀️
Right? They gifted her with 18 brand new products! And if she didn't want them there are plenty of places that she could have donated them too. But instead she chose to throw them in the trash and pour milk on them to destroy them.
The economy must not be so bad if u can throw away 18 lip kits for clout and by a guys bible and shoes and red hats but yeah, I think those boxes were empty anyway.
It's crazy how glamlite got death threats over something that could easily been fixed by simply checking the grams on the listing before purchasing so you know how much product to expect
@@DumiNihi from my experience people rarely read the actual item descriptions. The same thing happens with clothing. If people read the measurements of the garments, there wouldn't be so much discourse over the inconsistency with sizing. People need to start reading descriptions and labels
@@ximar0ckstrxVery true. If I order anything, which I don’t very much, I read everything and I will see reviews of people complaining about things that were written very clearly in the description. It’s dumb to order stuff and not read about it. People must have plenty of money to waste if they can’t take time to do that. Seems like the economy was pretty good for a lot of people complaining about the price of eggs and what they voted for and I didn’t notice the prices going down on anything. And I won’t see it.
Death threats are never the answer but those packaging seem so inefficient. I think that is why I like the move to more pot products in asian beauty where you can see and reach how much you have left. Ie flower knows new strawberry cupid lip products. If beauty trends are anything like last couple of years, that means it will make it to the western market within a couple of months or years.
Glamlite replied quicker than most people I know of. Also it's crazy how years ago we would never find out about drama between customers and the brand and the only time we would find out was if a product was being recalled and you only found out if you had emails from that company.
Mia is so unhinged. Like how narcissistic do you have to be to do this to an Indy brand? Especially an Indy brand who’s CS team responded to your ticket within an hour, and processed a refund within 24 hours. How self absorbed of her to think they blocked her and deleted the products from the site because of her bad reviews. Like they said they would do some QC to investigate. An ethical brand would remove the items from the site while they investigate the QC. This girl is entitled and looking for clout. When she threw away those brand new lip kits, she was giving Jeffrey Star energy. Wasteful as heck. Gisele spoke so professionally but still authentically. And that’s coming from someone who has never bought Glamlite (because I don’t wear make up anymore). Also, nothing is ever perfect. If she sold 600k+ lip kits and 7 people complained, that’s like .001% which is actually understandable. But acting like this was fraud and a scam is just ridiculous from Mia’s perspective
Meredith succeeded on TikTok because we are in an age of overconsumption - cosmetics, food, clothing, etc. It fed the taboo that humans are fascinated by observing overconsumption because we have been manipulated by marketing to believe more is more and better for us. When in reality, it’s wasteful and doesn’t serve us to become better people.
Very true. I just find it confusing that people are into over consuming everything but they voted for a criminal because he said he would make eggs cheaper and then they buy his Bibles and bs but say they can't afford eggs. Make it make sense.
Personally I can't stand Meredith. I loved when Bobbi Brown called her out on the b.s. Don't give a negative review on a product when you're not using it the way it supposed to be used. And don't be a TikTok'er trying to call out a world renowned makeup artist who has own 2 internationally loved brands. Meredith has always been over hyped and only naive people believe she puts her makeup on like that.
@@ximar0ckstrx soooo many influencers misused that product that’s specifically formulated for aged skin. No it’s not gonna look good for full glam what are you thinking 😭🙏🏽🙏🏽
When a company issues a credit card refund it can take 3-5 business days for it to show up in your account, it depends on the card provider- if you think you are being scammed you can call your card provider to see if it is pending on their end.
She knew they had refunded her but since it hadn’t gotten into her account yet, she took advantage of it and tried to act like they were lying about that. She’s a con artist.
One of my tasks at my company is issuing refunds requested by the customer. I'm so tired of them asking when they will get their refund. Once it has been issued, I have no control over it. It's between the banks at that point. People have no patience anymore.
@@WendyandBradPittI will say, I like to have a rough estimate. If it’s going to be a few days then I know not to worry about it. It’s not always about patience, it’s that we don’t necessarily know because we don’t work in the industry, you do. So while you might not know exactly how long it’ll take, you can give some reassurance that it’ll be a few days.
Having done this in the past, we honestly cannot even say that. A bank could refund it in hours, a day, a few days, a week, two weeks. I've had customers threatening to "go postal" when their bank had been holding it as pending for two weeks. I had their bank on the line stating they were holding it, and that the company I worked for didn't have their money. I still got called HOURLY, threatened, screamed at. So no, most of us aren't allowed to say anything about timeframes.
@@sherryelle2242 Yes!! I was just about to write the same thing. Mia knew that the refund was issued. She received an email. GlamLite responded really quickly in my opinion. When I’ve had an issue with a product or anything (not from GlamLite) I usually know it will take them a day or two. Seeing all those hateful comments pop up on the screen made me feel so angry and sad for Giselle but also that Mia’s video had that much of an impact and effect that others went and did that. Just inexcusable. Be an adult, be rational! It also takes my bank and most others 2 to 5 business days for your refund to hit your account. All over lipgloss…..such a shame.
I don’t know what is wrong with some of these people. They are under the impression that having a viral video is more important than morality, integrity and straight up honesty. Something has seriously gone wrong in society and what happens in America does seem to repeat itself in other western countries. Scary stuff. But i’m old (56), so what do i know. 🤷🏽♀️
Hey, I’m 50 and I got plenty to say and u do too. Say it when u need to. We need more people who care about the actual truth and who believe in science and truth. Keep speaking up. We need more voices like urs.
I dont care how much money was on the line (and I have none) there is no way I would go against my own values. When the money is gone, all you have is your integrity and that means something to me but I see it everyday in the workplace. Especially with my boss who is a restaurant owner. He lies lies lies to customers and steals 48% of our tips to pay his staff. I cannot respect him because he is such a trash person. I would rather be his broke employee who is honest and kind than be a greedy, money hungry angry man that hates his life.
I'm young and I really wonder what the hell crawled in some of these people's skulls to make them act so entitled and unhinged. Just watching that woman dumping box after box in the trash was just insane to me. The vibes were of someone who'd be a nightmare to be around. What an awful situation. I hope Giselle is able to get to therapy about it.
Mia is petty and immature! What a way to fill up our landfills . She obviously doesn’t care for the environment. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had products that I was unhappy with, and I just don’t use them. I certainly don’t escalate it to that point which didn’t have to happen. Death threats from a product being unsatisfactory to someone????😳 I feel sorry for this brand owner. She tried to do the right thing and got nothing for it. INSANE!!
This Mia woman was not resolution oriented. She did not want the refund, she did not want the company to make it up to her and for them to fix this. All she wanted was attention, to go viral, to expose a mistake (that can happen to everybody), to feel superior by having the ''upper hand'' and to show that she can ruin a company...
she poured something on the boxes, but who's to say she didn't pull the product out of the boxes after her little video? i'll bet she either kept them and used them or sold them.
Just popping in this morning to say that we watched the Lisa Frank documentary last night and when they showed one of your clips my husband perked up and said “I know her” 😂😂😂
I feel pretty good about Glamlite's customer service. A few years ago, I ordered Mikayla's paht 2 small palette on sale (I know, but those greens!). I got a email from them saying it was delayed but that they would send me a gift. The gift was the FULL SIZED palette for free. Stands out since no other company has ever been that "on top of" errors in my experience.

Ok but recognize they admitted to spying on each and every person who has the app installed. If you are ok with that , I frankly think the complacency is kinda weird.
@ladymissgd I don't think they admitted to spying on everyone using the app, HOWEVER, you may be shocked to learn that ALL social media is gathering loads of data on you just the same as TikTok. You should not be using YT if that is your concern. The concern was the Chinese government potentially forcing TikTok owners to hand over data. But if you think critically here, ALL of the tech giants do business with China, etc. Any one of them could do unethical things with our data up to and including sharing it (or even making it vulnerable) to a foreign government. We have little control. If you think giant corporations don't make our data vulnerable to bad actors (even though they have BILLIONS they could invest in security) consider the data stolen in the Change Healthcare hack of 2024. Basically all Americans receiving healthcare in the US were affected, and we are talking about private medical information. Change is owned by healthcare giant United Healthcare, who are US owned. Also, if we're going to ban foreign companies that gather our data, there is a list of giant retailers that "should" also be banned, including Temu, Shein, Wish, and Alibaba. The charge to ban TikTok was lobbied hard by Meta. Gee, I wonder why???
I’m sorry I need to write a long message on this situation with Glamlite. The customer has an issue with her glosses, the brand customer rep responded to her. She didn’t respond back but continues to make videos on TikTok. Let that sink in….. Yoooo, when are people seriously going to be held accountable for lying and scamming their viewers? I’ve been on social media ban because I’ve been calling people out on their scams. I’m sick of this shit…. This is why I strongly don’t listen to these so call influencers because I define that term as a bunch of scammers. Scam artist… Fake… BSers…. I can list many other names. They reached out and she wanted to make a scene for people to bash a business that a business was trying to resolve the issue. Omfg…. This gets me under my skin. I would block her too.
Thank you. This situation is going to get worse because the billionaires who own the social media platforms and news, are bowing the knees and dropping their fact checking and bringing back the n@c! groups and giving free passes to people who attacked officers and the other billionaires are dropping their DEI initiatives too. It’s gonna be a bad 4 years for anyone who believes like us.
I don't know if that's possible, but couldn't this girl be sued for damages by the brand? Maybe that's not the route they want to take, maybe that would look like Goliath going after David, but... I mean, what that girl did was criminal. She incited a whole crowd to go after the brand, and I do believe those death threats were also criminal. People need to start being held accountable for what they do online
The last time I used this many consecutive periods this many times in a single comment, I was pissed and so done too 😂. We get over it, but I understand your frustration. What I do is report what I can, never ever look up their name, and if they show up on my home page or shorts I hit "don't recommend channel" (only youtube terms, never got on tiktok and never will 😂). But you're right. A social media ban or all-out phone ban is probably the best from time to time.
@@alinepmsI completely agree. I know it would be seen as ‘messy’ but indie brands should start posting the death threats with the names not hidden. IMO if you’re happy to tell someone to die over a lipgloss then they should be happy for everyone to see that. People are doing damage to businesses and people seemingly for fun or just to jump on a bandwagon of hate.
It feels like the woman who felt she received less than full products is unhinged. It’s lipgloss we are talking about, not defective medicine that could really hurt someone. Our world has truly gone mad. Additionally, no one, individual or brand, is required to be abused. Hate speech is not protected. I would have turned off my comments too.
It’s gross. Kids (I’m 47, everyone under 30 is a kid to me) and TikTok are ridiculous. Everything has to do with trying to go “viral.” I hate that term.
I think that anyone really knows what actual hate speech is anymore. Thanks to anonymity of the internet and people vomiting every opinion that enters their social media marinated brain.
@@brandic8899Nobody is saying that. You can complain when u have an actual issue but u can’t send hate to a brand that already made it right with u. It’s not ok to send death threats to anyone and it’s not like someone died from a lip gloss that u can’t fill to the top because the applicator has to go somewhere.
Glam lite is getting death threats when they give a response and refund in an HOUR??! Y’all that’s amazing customer service… I just recently had to return a Patrick ta product and it was H E L L and it did get resolved 2 weeks later after radio silence and they said “this is the only time we are doing this”
Patrick Ta is a shady brand. There have been multiple instances of them doing bad things and I don’t purchase from them. He didn’t pay a black creator and when she did a video calling him out and destroying his products, he blamed his team and did a video apologizing and deleted it and filmed the exact same video but pretended to cry. He has still not responded to the many people who found something that looks like mold in his palettes. Just sayin.

That Mia girl is despicable. Main character syndrome with no repercussions. There is no need to be dramatic like that online for a stupid lip gloss Karen.
She went and hid too after saying that's what GlamLite did. I know her new account. But won't say here. She does not feel bad though. Was making fun of Gissele.
I was on the tube earlier today (aka the London underground system) and saw huge ad posters from The Ordinary and one of their slogans stuck with me. It said something along the lines of "how can a miracle cream be miraculous if nobody can afford it?" I loved it!
My post office had a Jeep fire which burned up my entire Glamlite order. In less than 24 hours, I had a tracking confirmation number replacing my order. Im glad to see both sides now because I was wondering what all to believe. I posted my review video and was prepared to do another one if I felt that Glamlite was completely in the wrong. Having ran a sucessful photography business for 17 years, I understand the decisions that were made.
Those unused, unopened lip gloss could have been donated to a women's shelter. They love personal care products. Shame on Maia. Shame. Now its time to say shame on myself. I left two negative reviews for a product from a small business last summer. I didnt reach out to customer service or anything like that at all, so I cant blame them for not getting back to me sooner. In January they reached out and apologized that the item did not meet my expectations and gave me a gift card. Re-reading the reviews I do think I was too harsh and watching the CEO of Glamlite talk reminds you that there are people behind these companies. Especially smaller companies. When customer service reached out I did apologize and wished them a successful 2025 because all the other items from them that I had have been great. Leaving a review needs to be balanced. A good lesson to always be reminded of.
For Glamlite to respond within 2 hours and issue a refund within 2 days is amazing customer service. For this customer to post a video of her ranting and dumping all her products down the trash within 24 hours of getting a response, suspiciously, points to somebody with a mindset to destroy a company's reputation well in advance, even before she made the complaint or somebody who is prone to overreacting. With the accessibility of social media, she started a witch hunt to attract those who enjoy lighting their pitch forks at any whisper of scandal. It's heartbreaking to see Gisselle and her team experience this, and over the holidays too.
18 free products and just tipping them into the trash while still saying how much of a victim you are is just wild to me. Actually flabbergasted. Since I have moved to Finland from the States, it is so hard to get my hands on a lot of these products. Now I am going to keep my ear to the ground and hope I can find Glamlite here.
Jen, I appreciate you having this self-reflective moment and being honest enough to share on camera that you might have some "hangups" about something as natural as pubic hair and that you are open enough to want to work on that mindset. I've been there too with that and other topics as well and I find it admirable when people share those moments. Great video, thank you! Have a good one xx
I loved the story about pubic hair!! Thank you and thanks also to this brand, for bringing attention to the issue in a funny but unapologetic way. Against societal norms, I have never fully gotten rid of my bush. I occasionally trim it and, when I wear a bathing suit, I shave the visible areas because I would be shamed in public if I don’t do that. But shaving usually leads to problems like irritation, itching and ingrown hair, and I hate that. So, long ago I decided to go against the norm and have a natural bush. I don’t regret my decision.
It's not really a societal norm to shave the pubic hair... I'm "older" and let me tell you that the dudes did NOT mind it in the 70s / 80s! lol The whole landing strip, shaving it all, brazilian, etc, came from the porn industry and women wanting to attract men by emulating these models (and I'm sure the dancers, too!). So, good for you!! lol ;-)
woww to think they gifted her all those lip kits and she threw them in the trash for what?? never really heard of this brand but I just gave Glamlite a follow, keep up the great work Jen ✨
Beautiful, colourful, fun makeup, high quality formulas at reasonable prices. Also, they make you feel like a star/influencer with elaborate PR packaging that also doubles as extra padding to protect the products, and it doesn't cost extra for it.
I really appreciate your focus on integrity, authenticity and honesty. I think you make a great point, all we can do is lead by example and hope the trends shift. But with the current state of the world I think we're going to continue to be outnumbered by the ignorant masses. Edit to add, the audacity and main character energy from that girl that's supposedly got empty glam light products was disgusting. People like that are the problem with society. And one of the many reasons why tictok and most social media platforms seem to be a cesspool for attention seeking. Girl got some attention for her original video so she ran with it. You can see how hard she's trying to maintain her 15 seconds.
Absolutely agree 1,000% to everything you just said. She was doin it for clout and those boxes were probably empty that she threw away. She told people to go attack the brand even after she knew they got death threats. That’s a lunatic for ya.
@@amesblitz339 I love how she didn’t record a video in the dark sans makeup crying like the typical performative brand response we usually see. She fully glammed up and showed up authentically while still being gorgeous.
Your Kiehl's coverage made me tear up, because of their stance/actions and because of your honesty and integrity--not only covering the story (which people are doing for shock value) but being open about your thoughts and ~journey on the topic. That story, The Ordinary, Faces of Music , Sephora, thirteen lune, and GlamLite...this episode is a showcase of your value(s) and talent in the beauty space. Thank you!!!
I think Glamlite should sue for slander. They have the proof and it did affect her company. And now I am realizing that the Glamlite customer isn't a victim, but SEEMS like a bored mom who probably has been in multiple MLMs and thinks the internet isn't real life...and throwing away free product like she paid for it? I feel really bad for her kids because they're going to have a really shity upbringing.
It feels like they TikTok girl is trying to make a huge moment for attention imo, we’ve seen similar situations go viral in the past and people want to support an individual over a brand. But Glamlite was in the right here from my perspective
HATE people for sending a company - and their owner - death threats over half of a story - of which has a very common issue: quality control missed something Also, LOVE the pubic hair campaign! We are people with hair, that's just how it is. I would absolutely adore to have no hair on my body other than my head, eyebrows, and eyelashes, but it's just a fact of life ♡
The Kiehls font kind of threw me for a loop at first but after hearing the thinking behind it, I have to applaud them for calling out the censorship in that way. It was clever, creative and downright hilarious and I love it! We need more companies and people calling out outdated body expectations like this.
That situation with the lip gloss, it's someone getting a taste of "fame" from a viral video and wanting more, not caring or considering what it's doing to the brand or the people behind it. Selfish and disgusting. I'm so glad you posted the owners response.
Exactly! If that video hadn’t gone viral I doubt she would have continued to make videos bashing them, especially the throwing the products away and pouring milk(?) on them. Any normal customer/person would probably have just been like, that was nice, glad it got solved. But she’s acting like the lipgloss killed her firstborn, not just that she didn’t understand how lipgloss tubes work 😂
Mia is ungrateful for throwing away all those lipglosses that GlamLite so graciously gave her and I can guarantee you that after that video, she dug them all out of the trash, wiped them off and placed in them her lippy drawer. I feel horrible for Ms. Giselle and her company for what Mia and her cronies put her through. Bad situation indeed! Thank you Jen for showing us the truth. 🥰
@@yvonnekilla3971I had been to glamlite’s site before but never ordered and I went today, after seeing this mess and I’m gonna order from them to show support.
You are much kinder than me. That lady with the lip glosses... to me this is her riding her 15mins of fame. Glamlite literally offered her a refund within an hour. I'm so sorry Glamlite's owner is getting harrased, threatening someone over a lipgloss is insane, hope she's feeling better now ❤
One time, I got shipped a product with actual visual mold in it. I proceeded to request a refund, got it, then threw away the product. Like a normal adult person. Even if the lip kits were whack, sometimes manufacturing problems just happen. Heck, if there was a factory problem, pulling the product listing is *literally exactly what they should be doing while troubleshooting* 🤷
she is gorgeous but I also though she was in her 30s. she just has this bone structure that makes her more mature looking. idk I feel 'old' is not the right word haha
i think its cause her face is so slim! you naturally lose fat in those areas as you age, so for people that already have hollowed out cheeks/temples, it gives the appearance of being older!
That is horrible. I love glamlite. They sent her 18 complimentary lip kits?!?! And refunded her and let her keep the original?!? And the customer still acted like a spoiled brat throwing everything in the trash which i think she just did that for shock value?!? So ridiculous! Glamlite did the right thing. The customer was nuts and in my opinion did all this for attention. Ive been buying from glamlite for YEARS and never had any issues. Crazy crazy crazyyyy
I have been a lover of Glamlite for years. I had one tiny issue, and before i could contact them, my missing items were sent out. I totally know they found this error through quality control, they found this error and corrected it. Their products are so top quality, and so cute. They help this empty nester smile while missing my 2 college age loves ❤️.
Omg I hope Gisselle is okay. Miss Mia honestly sounds like she was NEVER gonna be happy no matter what Glamlite did! I already had an inkling that was what she was doing and it was only confirmed with the context you provided so I thank you for that, Jen. Also glad Mia deleted her account because she clearly needs to go outside and touch a lot more grass.
Honestly, I really don't understand why those influencers all of the sudden decided to expose themselves. I don't think that anyone thought that ban will be permanent, so why would you do that? Did they think that everyone will forget when everything will be back? Did they completely forgot that same exact people follow them on other social media? Just, what were they expecting?
That was chilling to watch and I am so glad you edited it that way. When people viciously attack brands after one person decides to go for viral views, it shames the entire platform. Thank you!
Jen, thank you so much for calling out all the lies and liars on TT. I can't stand that platform for this very reason. That Meredith says I missed you guys, we're like a community...no it's kind of cultish in my opinion. What Meredith likes is her money and her cash cows. Let's keep it 💯.
4:36 nobody is shocked about Meridith and you're right Nobody cares anymore that "she lied" I thought people knew she was doing it to go viral and it worked 😅
The younger generations are quick to make fun of old folks believing AI photos/videos are real life…..but they’re also the same people who are shocked that influencers lie and a chick didn’t actually use 10 pumps of foundation on her face 😩😂😂
Kill you and your team over half empty lipglosses?!? Lmao! Ppl r absolutely crazy! Then for her to throw out 18 replacement lip kits for 3 defective ones is super ungrateful imo
I absolutely love Glamlite! The prices are amazing; the formulas are some of the best I’ve ever used. Don’t even get me started on the packaging! Glamlite puts effort into being original and unique. I have pretty much collected all of the horror-themed makeup, like the Freddy, Chuckie, and Jason-themed products. Seeing the owner get emotional really struck a chord with me. People need to remember that there are human beings with feelings behind these brands. There is a right way and a wrong way to dispute whatever issue you’re having. I think the girl who made that TikTok saw that her video was going viral and wanted to keep it going. She couldn’t be honest and tell everyone that she was refunded and her issue was resolved right away because that wouldn’t fit into her narrative. Telling the truth wouldn’t allow her to continue receiving the clout and the virality. I am so glad that the owner of Glamlite got the courage to sit down and film that video to vindicate herself. She knew that her customer service employee did everything they could do to fix the problem. There literally was nothing else they could’ve done better. The owner is probably someone like me, who wants to avoid conflict and confrontation at all costs. All I know is, I will continue to support Glamlite. I really enjoy the makeup and, most of all, the packaging. If you haven't tried Glamlite, you really should!!
Your opening point about dishonesty/ misinfo being welcome on social media was like an "aha" moment for me. I follow so many creators that often turn out to be simpatico with each other and reference one another's work. They often cite each other ESPECIALLY when exposing/ challenging misinformation. The saddest thing to me is that none of these channels have more than 1 or 2 million followers on YT. Everything from political/ social/ social science commentary to yes, even the beauty and wellness space, it is awesome to me that there is overlap. Then we have the channels with multi-million followers (Mr. Beast was always pushed to my kids while I had NO IDEA who he was). They nearly always have a spectacular downfall or significant, valid criticism of their work. Some of it has got to be pay for play, I am convinced. We know there are billionaires financing content that spreads misinformation and hateful, reactionary perspectives on marginalized groups. I wouldn't be surprised also if foreign governments aren't also subsidizing creators who spread misinformation.
Um I hate to be the one to tell u this but that's already happened. Last year the Dept of Justice found out Russia had a company paying right wing creators millions of dollars to spread their propaganda. Of course those creators lied and said they didn't know who was behind paying them millions of dollars and they didn't get in trouble for some reason but some people behind those scammy shell companies that were from the Kremlin, did get arrested I believe.
that mia girl was definitely misunderstanding at first but what she did after and kept saying is just evil. genuinely doubling down to the point where you end up terrorizing a brand for your own stupidity is just vile. glamlite did not deserve this at all
My friend sells lip gloss and she showed if you completely fill up a tube then try to put in an applicator all of the gloss runs out. When I seen her post I ignored it because I have commend sense. I love Glamlite. I feel badly for the owher, staff and families. 🙄
Creating a boundary to not be subject to further harassment, negativity, and unconstructive criticism should be normalized, whether you're an individual or small business owner.
I feel like body hair on women is considered "dirty" is because hair starts growing about the same time as menstruation. Removing the hair hides the physical reminder of this "grossness". It is all natural and needn't be censored. I don't shave. And I live in Florida, so I wear shorts year round. Proudly.
Speak on it! Women in need wouldn’t be so infuriated by a slightly under filled product. With all those extra products that could be up to 18 women feeling more pampered and cared for
I don't want to see anyone ones pubs and now I'm going to go buy some Glamlite gloss to support that nice lady🎉 Also I just went and ordered your sweater from The Loft so pretty, thanks Jen Luv
Poor Giselle. Ive worked different types of customer service and retail jobs for over 10 years and customers do the most unwell things. Ive been threatened with pshsyical violence for not giving into the customer's demands even though its against policy. Thats just me as a bottom of the chain of command and that takes a toll on your desire to work or even want to come into work. Honestly, even if Glamlite was in the wrong, this doesn't warrant that kinda of treatment. It's just lip gloss.
Thank you so much Jen for covering news such as this. Gisselle and her employees don't deserve that level of vitriol and hate. It was worth including the full clip because we needed to hear her side too. Sending much love to everyone who works customer service ❤
Thanks for all the hard work Jen!! Have a wonderful trip! 💕BTW the ads were somehow normal on this one like every 5-10 minutes and skippable. Maybe the YT gods heard us ❤️🥰
I think the owner of glam lite is so strong and will always stand up for what’s right, this is the same women who fought another big company cause they were trying to steal her brand and she won that case 🙏🏼
I’m so confused why many influencers thought that exposing themselves was a good career move? All of the other platforms were still alive and kicking at the time so what was the endgame … 🤨 P.S. Your sweater? So so pretty
I have been a customer of Glamlites since they first came out and have NEVER had any issues with them or customer service!! Of course I've had a missing or broken item, broken from mail company, but Glamlite CS has ALWAYS been courteous, kind, and fast. People like Mia should be held accountable for lying and causing all these death threats!! Shame on you Mia!! Smh 😠
I am with Gisele on this one . I had 2 colors of the mouse Lipstain and they immediately sent out new ones ! She does respond and you can email the company first and if no answer then go to their page ! I had a great service ! Wtg Glamlite ❤❤❤
The way I gasped when she threw out unused products... that's a pretty clear indication that miss-ma'am is a clout-chaser and possibly a liar. If there's one thing we don't do in this community it's blithely throw away product for clout. Gross.
so many of these “under filled beauty product” scandals the past few years have just been people who don’t understand water displacement. it’s ok if you’re dumb, but you don’t need to send death threats about it. just admit there are BIRDS with a better handle on this concept than you, and go. just be quiet. it’s embarrassing.
Or when influencers frequently make videos claiming companies are “scamming” them by the packaging being larger than the product as if the measurements and quantities aren’t available all over the website… hmmm let’s not
@@Spoiledandsalty as if companies aren’t legally liable for ensuring the measurement listed on the package is what we are receiving as the consumer, yeah 😂 like i PROMISE they don’t want to give you less than an oz. if an oz is promised. u will usually get more, even. it’s just so goofy, and people need to learn to think before they whip out their phone and press record 😂
Had a perfume company get so irritated about people complaining about their fills(typically overfilled, sometimes leaking), that they changed their packaging to ensure they'd get EXACTLY the amount listed instead of +- a quarter ounce. The brand had lovely bottles too. The amount of unhinged folks pretending they were at an airport angrily announcing their departure...
@@DinkyInky2 i had a small (not beauty related) business myself for a minute and i absolutely couldn’t handle the amount of - FRANKLY AND RUDELY - stupid. i sold stickers. people left negative reviews because my stickers… were sticky. how anyone can handle this is beyond me, and my heart goes out to these companies for sure. 😢
I've only ordered from Glamlite once, and accidentally used a wrong card for the order. Emailed cs, they responded quickly and resolved the issue. Thats my experience with Glamlite and I'd definitely order again if it wasnt the fact that I'm trying to pan all my makeup first!
Thank you!!!! I have been WAITING for channels to clear up the glamlite situation. Waiting for those channels that shit on Glamlite (Robert Welsh?) to talk about it again 😒😒
I 110% support Giselle on this issue with Glamlite ❤ this girl was looking for clout !! So in other words this girl reads comments to see what she can getaway with ! This girl is unhinged ! I would have called police and have a harassment uttering threats .. how horrible to be treated like this !
This was an important video on a number of levels. Thankyou for making it. I watched Robert Welsh’s take on the lip gloss situation and he did not have the Glamlite response included and now I feel quite differently about the Tik Tok creator. Giselle was being real and her point about grace is SO relevant these days.
You know what's messed up? That woman mia who called out GL for the "under filled" lipglosses? I did a little digging & she owns a lipgloss brand. 😌🤦♂️
The Glamlite story is wild. Maybe I’m out of touch but are people really this mad over an $18 lip kit? My lawd, if having a less-than-full lip gloss was my biggest problem!!!
Different brand had a similar issue. Clarens (sorry I forget how to spell that) has these comfort lip oils. Lovely formula. The doe foot is so chunky that when you take it out the product appears to dramatically decrease. And I think they actually don't fill the things up completely because you would get a leak trying to get the applicator out of the component. They actually had to add something to the description on Sephora because so many people were upset about it. I'm like give people more product and a more efficient applicator.
People are so unhinged.. they need to be put in place at times and let it be known a line has been crossed.. I’m glad the glamlite owner spoke up with proof and loved Jen using her platform to raise awareness on this. Also… pubic font actually looked cool in the ads as an entire campaign lol pretty smart and eye catching for sure
Thank you Jen for another great episode that is factual, informative, entertaining, done with thoughtfulness and integrity! I love ❤️ your sweater! This makes me want to support Glamlite even more now. No one should have to go through what Giselle went through and over a lip gloss at that. Shame on Mia! I’m so sick of the sharing of misinformation and people who just run with it as if it’s all factual! I feel terrible for Giselle. I hope she’s feeling better. That absolutely would have shaken me up to my core. I saw the Hulu Docu-Series and I was like ehhh I don’t know but I love Chappel Roan and if you say it’s good and worth watching I’ll watch it tonight ☺️ little bizarre that she was using all Sephora products but when she did her first album cover she did her own makeup using all Drugstore makeup. But I get it. Oh my goodness NYX having Ella Vaday glued to a billboard is genius marketing for their glue primer and how funny that Ella was just talking to people pass by. I got a good smile and laugh from that story. I always enjoy that you include light hearted stories in every episode Kiehl’s font is hilarious to me! It’s a big F you to censorship. I support this fully! It’s natural but so so many of us have been lead to believe the same way as you did Jen I loved what you said! Have a wonderful night everyone ❤
I thought that person talking about how bad Glamlite customer service was a bit sus. They have always been amazing, and even sending free things when things mess up/delayed orders. If anything this company has always gone above and beyond, at least for me, and I don't even shop from them that much.
Jen, I have loved your channel and it’s Makeup News segments for the past year or so. Due to the recent political developments in the US, I would wholeheartedly appreciate if you kept us updated on brands’ DEI status as well as other exclusionary or unethical practices, as you are able. I really admire your journalistic abilities 💞
So the Kiels outlook is too true! You can grown your down there hair naturally & it is your body, your choice & if it shows while wearing a swim suit or even shorts that is ok. But I am so glad I was not the one playing with other people’s pubic hair to create the font or ad! Don’t mind seeing it though…you do you! 😂
When the glamlite thing first happened, I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. I’ve been a follower of GlamLite for years and this kind of behavior seemed so much unlike them.. and I was right. This woman is beyond unhinged. Sending DEATH threats over some gloss? Get a grip.
My goodness. The mob mentality is horrific. I understand that Mia felt wronged and she wanted acknowledgment and a fix for her situation but this feels too dramatic, narcissistic and negative. This wasn’t done to help improve a company she liked and had purchased products from them time and time again…. She likes the attention and the idea of destroying a business/person because she and some others were aggrieved. If you’re disgusted with the company’s practice, don’t purchase from them and move on.
I no longer shave anywhere. I had a stroke and I can't use my dominant hand. I don't miss ingrown hair and razor rash in my pubic region one bit. I don't smell or feel dirty. That's a construct. We need to really take a long hard look at beauty standards for women.
You can watch everything here: www.tiktok.com/@glamlite/video/7464755610790169899?lang=en
Since Glamlite's response, Miah has deleted her second TikTok account.
Miah and her multiple sus tiktoks accounts... smdh

And to keep up the rhetoric is insane…but then deleting the TikTok because you know they gonna come for you too!!
Facts- over lip gloss.. what like maybe a 20$ kit. Please ppl get ur priorities in line!!
Yeah, pretty sure this message isn’t going to move anyone who is seriously leaving death threats for a lipgloss!! Heck, for anything!!
Damn! That is amazing ❤
Oh man that’s a beautiful thing. I’m speechless at their kindness. I’ve never heard of a brand doing that.
That’s so sweet of them ❤ ty for sharing
Oh, how sweet! Thank you for sharing. We need all the happy news we can get!
❤❤❤❤❤
The glamlite customer lost any creditability in my eyes when she poured milk on the products in the trash can. She's just throwing an unnecessary tantrum at that point.
Definitely! It's ok to complain and be unsatisfied with a product, even if the brand sends you more but you don't want them - give them away. But the waste and the MILK. That's too much.
YEEESS!!
you know she Tok them back up and keep the products
I see bad reviews for "underfilled" lip glosses all the time. People don't understand that the doe foot and applicator take up a lot of room.
Displacement theory has left the chat. Along with critical thinking.
RIP Archimedes. 😂
All I could think when I saw the video was 'where does she think the stick goes'? Those sticks don't have spring mechanisms and you wouldn't want them to because then you couldn't get the product on the brush, or doe foot, or whatever it's called.
KikizCosmetics had to do a lot of these videos demonstrating what happens if you actually fill up the gloss to the top.
@@TheAggromouseAmen. Thank u for saying that. Critical thinking skills waved bye bye to a lot in this country awhile ago.
I feel like those boxes were empty too. She kept those lip glosses and threw out the boxes to be spiteful.
oh she obviously took those out of that otherwise empty and clean trash can afterwards, she’s doing this all for attention and a person like her would never not take advantage of this
@@SugarFreeBubbleTea
Agreed.
Maybe she has nothing else going on in her life and wanted fame...SAD
I agree about the TikTok ban and if they can easily block social media apps, why are they not banning porn and child exploitation websites!

AGREED!
I feel like Mia turned a customer service issue into a way to go viral. She is the epitome of how people don’t realize that their online actions have real world consequences. She should be ashamed.
It wasn’t even a customer service issue. It’s an education issue. Apparently she doesn’t know physics exist.
Oh, she knew. She just didn't care.

Highly doubt that lady actually threw the glosses away, let's be real. More likely than not, she tossed the empty boxes.
That girl throwing stuff in the trash really behaved like a kid. It looks like a tantrum. 🤦🏻♀️
Right? They gifted her with 18 brand new products! And if she didn't want them there are plenty of places that she could have donated them too. But instead she chose to throw them in the trash and pour milk on them to destroy them.
@sagekaestner4532 Yeah. The milk was a petty touch. I rolled my eyes so hard. 😂
@Gaelicia I saw the milk and paused in my day to say out loud, "In this economy? That better be expired."

@@sagekaestner4532 Yes! Exactly! I would have donated them.
Thats what this generation does. Herd of vigilantes.
I am going out on a limb and going to make an educated guess , she isn’t smart enough to do that
Glamlite replied quicker than most people I know of.
But acting like this was fraud and a scam is just ridiculous from Mia’s perspective
totally unrelated but wow i love your hair in your profile photo!
Someone said that she reviewed Jeffrey star products, so to me it seems she's clearly a fan and has probably taken some inspiration from him...

I hope Giselle is able to get to therapy about it.
i dont think 56 is “old” (im 20). anyways, i am very worried about what is currently happening in america. online and offline. its scary!

INSANE!!
Mia, Karen much.
This Mia woman was not resolution oriented. She did not want the refund, she did not want the company to make it up to her and for them to fix this. Nothing like the dude who introduced the ban being thanked for bringing it back when it never had to go dark in the first place. Ridiculous!
I think we're going to see a lot more stunts like this involving Trump appearing to "own" big tech (with tech bros playing him and his followers).
@ I think you’re absolutely right!
Ok but recognize they admitted to spying on each and every person who has the app installed. If you are ok with that , I frankly think the complacency is kinda weird.
@@ladymissgd You're right! Only the American government is allowed to do that. Patriot Act ring a bell?
People are doing damage to businesses and people seemingly for fun or just to jump on a bandwagon of hate.
i hope GL bans her from purchasing ever again 🙄 what child

@@rabbiroz3806 I don’t know why we can’t complain about BOTH. This idea that you can only complain about medication is absurd
@@brandic8899Nobody is saying that. You can complain when u have an actual issue but u can’t send hate to a brand that already made it right with u.
Just sayin.

@@sonjanaugler244 As consumers we have to be understanding about things not being perfect. Thank you for sharing.
Me too! The hair is there for a reason!
So, good for you!! lol ;-)
My doctor was the one to tell me not to do it lol so I stopped
woww to think they gifted her all those lip kits and she threw them in the trash for what?? never really heard of this brand but I just gave Glamlite a follow, keep up the great work Jen ✨

Also, LOVE the pubic hair campaign!

Meredith is 26! That's what shocked me tbh damn thought she was in her 30s
she is gorgeous but I also though she was in her 30s. she just has this bone structure that makes her more mature looking. idk I feel 'old' is not the right word haha
i think its cause her face is so slim! you naturally lose fat in those areas as you age, so for people that already have hollowed out cheeks/temples, it gives the appearance of being older!
It’s probably a lot of procedures she’s had done. Pretty much all of them do it.

Idk, but maybe it was just a way to boost attention and engagement?
Agreed.
The woman making such a fuss over her *checks notes* LIPGLOSS is verifiably insane. Like, cmon.
Yup, that's been known since some Greek philosopher sat in a bath and yelled "eureka".
Creating a boundary to not be subject to further harassment, negativity, and unconstructive criticism should be normalized, whether you're an individual or small business owner.

Different brand had a similar issue. Clarens (sorry I forget how to spell that) has these comfort lip oils. Lovely formula. The doe foot is so chunky that when you take it out the product appears to dramatically decrease.
We need to really take a long hard look at beauty standards for women.
so true, power to you 👏👏
OMG Kiehl's!! Can't wait to see if they bring that font to Asia!
