I was in the military for a while and I had to go lots of places by myself cause I would be moved to a new city and know no one at first. It was nerve wracking and embarrassing the first few times I ate by myself and told the hostess it was just me, but turns out, no one ever cares and they don’t bat an eye. They just seat you and then you hang out. It’s actually really fun and interesting and now I do it all the time. I actually really enjoy watching other people eat alone because I see that they just really enjoy their own company and I relate. Definitely something you grow into but it’s great. It can be a great feeling. So many experiences I would’ve missed out on if I didn’t go. Nostalgic memories of mine are often ones taken alone with just me and God :)
