I had no idea how hard Troy was going on leads in some of the Times New Roman stuff, the man is floating on riffs Their recent trilogy of records are amazing ❤

But he really plays a lot more of the “best”/favorite moments of songs in the last three albums than people think. Like, Vampyre’s guitar solo, etc. But they don’t play that or Burn The Which (which he takes Alain’s lead solo parts) anymore so he gets less spotlight.

Troy is the coolest guitarist, his moves are the best. Anthony Bourdain and David Grohl both said these guys are tough to beat as a live band. Great talents.
Sometimes we get spoiled in North America. I last saw these guys in August in Toronto and am seeing them April 8th and 9th in Oshawa and Kingston. The 9th will be my 20th QOTSA concert and I allready cannot wait until the next time they come, or I travel to see them. My favourite band for the last 25 years.
This setlist is one the best from the tour. Also great video I live in Ecuador and I think they are never coming over here so at least theres great recordings like yours that I can enjoy
Its truely amazing how underrated Troy and Dean's Guitar Playing / Keyboard playing Prowers are! They always add so much to the band and are truely the Colors and Seasoning to the band! Thank You for this Audio! I really love hearing Troy and Dean's Parts on this side of the stage! Troy is KILLER!! His Improv on Make it Wit Chu was KILLER!! Thinking about the band as a Soup lol, Dean & Troy are the Seasonings / Pepper & Salt Vegitables - Josh, Mikey, and John are the Meats and Potatoes, the girth of the Soup in Sonic Payment and Bliss! One of their Best Live Performances imo!!

Yes, I think it's to do with camera placement and its mic picking up (Troy's backline and wedge possibly) over the rest. Anyway, I think it's cool see a different perspective on a band. Speaking of bad mixes, I came across a qotsa at some festival and whatever it was, Mikey was the most prominent in the mix.. Again it highlighted the talent in the band and sophistication of the music.

It’s a really interesting mix. Not what you would call a traditionally “good mix” but I love it. Guitars forward and Troy louder than Josh .
