How To Reset Homepod or Homepod Mini

In this video we teach you how to reset Homepod or Apple Homepod Mini. The instructions provided will work for both the newer Homepod Mini or the existing Apple Homepod.
These steps will reset Apple Homepod to factory default settings so that all personal information is cleared from the device. If you are giving the device away, having problems setting up your Homepod or got a new phone or wifi network you may want to reset your Homepod to factory defaults to that you can set the up the device again.
To Reset Homepod:
1. Unplug the Homepod or cut off power to the device for at least 10 seconds.
2. Plug the device back in and restore power, you will need to count out 5 seconds and after 5 seconds place your finger in the center of the touch pad on the Homepod between the volume buttons, you will need to hold down and keep pressing. It is very important that you do this exactly 5 seconds after you restore power and you must keep holding until the Homepod verbally confirms that it is being reset.
3. While holding your finger in the center of the touchpad on the top of the device the top will turn red confirming that it is starting to reset after about a minute it will then say "Your homepod is about to reset, keep pressing." Once you hear the Apple Homepod beep you can then let your finger off the center of the touch screen.
4. Then wait about a minute and the Homepod will factory reset and the start it's out of the box setup process.
5. Congratulations your Homepod or Homepod Mini is reset.

I’m having constant connection issues with my Mini, so I’m going to reset to factory. Before resetting to factory, should I attempt to remove the Mini from HomeKit?
